Napping on tummy??

Is this only ok to do once they start to roll or have you started doing this with your DC sooner??

DS is only just starting to roll, he will usually roll right onto his side for naps, but this morning he was squirming around and managed to end up on his tummy - he went right to sleep and took a decent nap for the first time in a long time! ?My only concern is that he has only rolled from tummy to back a few times, each time I don't think he quite knew what he was doing, so I'm worried he won't know how to flip himself over if he needs to...I've been in his room every 10 minutes checking on him, but I just need some reassurance from other moms who have done this with their babies.

?I know we all used to be put on our tummies so I'm trying not to worry too much!!

Re: Napping on tummy??

  • I think it's okay - especially if he got a good nap out of it. Plus it will increase his tummy time when he wakes up and starts to push. My DS HATES tummy time, so my doctor recommended that I do this for nap times.

    Good luck! :)
