I'm a bit behind the cuff here, but just really sat down & read some information from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act regarding additional testing requirements for products for kids 12 & under. This could cause SO many small businesses to go under- the last thing we need in this horrific economy. Does anyone know of the appropriate route to go to voice opposition to this? Congressman? Senator? Anyone have a website. As someone who owns a small business w/my DH (though not affected by that issue) it greatly concerns me for all those families out there who will be directly affected by this. Any direction would be appreciated.
Re: New Safety Laws- help?
A few days ago someone posted but I don't remember what the website was. Perhaps you could google.
It's a shame it has to come to this. The companies that produce toys, clothing, equipment for kids need own up to their responsibility. I supposed if we stopped importing from China it would greatly cut down on the problems. Course that is NEVER going to happen since China basically "owns" the USA.
