 i posted this last night...i just wanted to see if there was anyone else on this morning that might have thoughts...thanks! 

we were cleaning out dd's humidifier tonight and found lots of mold. i'm sick over it. she has been breathing that nasty mold and i don't know how long. i'm thinking it's been a few weeks. we're throwing the humidifier away, and buying a new one and we're going to keep the new one clean! i feel SO bad. i'm thinking i should clean her drapes, carpet, bedding, etc. am i overreacting or would you do the same thing?

I've got a call in to the pedi and the nurse is contacting the doc...the nurse doesn't think i have anything to worry about...can't wait to hear what the doc says....

Can you go get an inexpensive air purifier? Your pedi may have a better suggestion, but I think that may help.

I wouldn't worry that much about it. If she starts getting sick, take her to the pedi and explain the mold issue. Other than that, just keep the new one clean.

yeah, it's the perfect place to grow things like mold, warm and wet and then you spread it around the room.  just a quick swish with vinegar or something between fills
