I just read your FFFC and I just wanted to say that my parents got divorced when i was in 4th grade and later in life my mom told me that my dad really wanted to come back and try again to be a family and she didnt let him and she said that it is the #1 thing she regrets in life.

Do what you think is right for YOUR family and don't worry about your parents, when the time comes sit them down and tell them that this is YOUR decision and its whats best for your family but youd appreciate their support.  I have had to do this a number of time with my mom (shes a know it all!)
