leaving DS for few days to go on a cruise???

I was given the opportunity to go on a cruise with my husband at no cost. I would love to go but I am concerned about leaving my 5 mo old with my in-laws, especially since my baby can be fussy at time and wants to be held all the time!

Would you give up this opportunity?

Definitely a personal decision. I wouldn't leave DS for a few days (I have a hard time leaving him for an evening) but I'm breastfeeding.

How old will your DS be at the time of the cruise? Is he FF?

I love my inlaws to death, but I personally couldn't do it. But I have a hard time leaving DD for 3 hours to go out for dinner (I've done it, but don't really like it)

There's no one I would trust more with DS than my MIL (she raised 11 of her own and now watches 3 of her grandkids daily) so that part wouldn't be hard for me. It's a personal decision for you though. Plus if you are BFing, that would be difficult.

We are going on a cruise in May for a week. DS will be 8 months old. My Mom is watching him...so I have no issues with it. Of course, I will miss him a bunch when I am on the cruise, but I have no reservations about my Mom watching him. She has been taking him overnight at least once a month since he was 1 month old.

That said, it is a personal decision for you. Since I have someone I completely trust to watch DS, I would go. So, it depends on how your feel about leaving your DS with your in-laws.
