Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Anyone discover that the sonogram was mistaken?

I'm going to be going for my "big" u/s next Tuesday, and we're planning on finding out the sex.  (As long as Baby is cooperative!)

Anyone have the big u/s say you were having one sex, and then you ended up having the other?

Re: Anyone discover that the sonogram was mistaken?

  • Yes. The tech at my big u/s told us he was "pretty sure" it was a girl. The fact that he said "pretty sure" left a little doubt in my mind (and, I was secretly convinced it was a boy so I didn't know if I should go with my gut, or with the tech)...

A week later we had a level 2 u/s due to a possible complication and we asked that dr to check again- and it was a boy afterall!

  • Mine was right but I guess boys are easier to identify, if they can see the junk.  I ended up with 6 ultrasounds total and you could definitley tell it was a boy, on the level 2 ultrasound the tech even labeled his junk for us and we got a dvd to take home of the ultrasound.  I can't wait to embarass him with it when he is a teenager.

  • mine was right - even at 13 wks i had a u/s and she said that she was "pretty certain" it was a girl and pointed it all out to me. then she confirmed it at 22 wks. if their legs are open - you can tell 100%

  • yep.. I was told a boy and a girl- see my sig pic with my three boys :)

I had a fairly early ultrasound (17 weeks) but I had a million after that where I was told two boys.?
