It has directions on it. I think I read on the Similac that it can stay out for 1 hour but once baby drinks from the bottle you need to throw it out. If you're using the large container it can stay in your fridge for 72 hours after being opened.
It has to be refrigerated. When we go somewhere I usually pour a bunch of bottles and put them in the cooler cases with some ice packs or I bring a little cooler with the big bottle. However my DS will drink formula right out of the fridge without needing it heated so that does make it easy.
Yep - gotta keep it refrigerated once you've opened it - so any bottles you pour have to be kept cold as well. However, you can buy RTF formula in little 2 ounce or 8 ounce containers - unopened - these could be thrown in a diaper bag on the go and then used as needed.
