Everyone tells me that the first 3 months are the hardest, but to me they were a piece of cake compared to the last week.
First off, DD was diagnosed with RSV/bronchiolitis late last week. It has cleared up very well, and we got a clean bill of health from the dr. She still has a little congestion, but nothing bad.
She has just been so super fussy for the last several days. She cries if I put her down. She cries if I put her in her swing/bouncer/Bumbo. She used to be happy no matter where I would sit her down during the day. She cries HARD before falling asleep at night (but will then sleep 7-8 hours peacefully). I know it's nothing medical, she was just examined.
Anyone else going thu this? I'm not sure if it's because I held her a lot more when she was sick? It's like she won't tolerate any change. I've been picking her up immediately when she cries. However, she started crying in her bouncer today while I was in the shower. I just let her go for a few minutes, and within 5 minutes she had settled herself and was sleeping peacefully.
I am not a fan of CIO, but how long is ok before picking up/soothing? I'm starting to feel like she's old enough to manipulate the situation a little. 5 or 10 minutes of fussing?
Re: Super Fussy 3 Mo Old?
DD is the same age, and doing the same thing... super fussy every evening, much worse than she was before. I'm thinking it might be teething... she's insanely drooly and chews on everything. But as of now, I've got a velcro-baby... she will only let ME hold her. She screams hysterically anytime I put her down or hand her to DH, and he's really upset about it, poor guy.
I'm hoping somebody else has gone through this and can offer some hope!
