c-section moms--tummy sleeping

when were you able to sleep on your tummy again?

Re: c-section moms--tummy sleeping

  • I don't sleep on my tummy but I probably could have about a week after c-section.

  • I did I think a day or 2 after surgery.  I just took it easy when I would turn over.  Once I got home, though, I was good to go.

  • I have even in the hospital bed, well I spooned a pillow.
  • About a week or two after my c-section.
  • 2-3 weeks post-partum

I should add that breastfeeding actually made sleeping on my stomach more uncomfortable than the c-section after a couple of weeks.  If your breasts are full, there was no tummy sleeping for me.

  • I did the day I got my staples out (couples days after I got home from the hospital).  I was a little sore in the morning and occassionally now I'll still wake up a tad sore, but it's not bad.

  • as soon as i could roll over!
  • I did the day after the c-section. The nurse recommended it, as I was so uncomfortable. And honestly, it felt good.
  • I was very scared about sleeping on my tummy.  I have always done so, and it was VERY difficult being pregnant and not being able to.  I was scared because mu incision was very sore for a few weeks.  I think at about 3 weeks I tried and it was weird.  I was scared to move...but now (8 weeks pp) I am comfortable to sleep on my tummy and wonder how I made it so long without it!
