I should add that breastfeeding actually made sleeping on my stomach more uncomfortable than the c-section after a couple of weeks. If your breasts are full, there was no tummy sleeping for me.
I did the day I got my staples out (couples days after I got home from the hospital). I was a little sore in the morning and occassionally now I'll still wake up a tad sore, but it's not bad.

I was very scared about sleeping on my tummy. I have always done so, and it was VERY difficult being pregnant and not being able to. I was scared because mu incision was very sore for a few weeks. I think at about 3 weeks I tried and it was weird. I was scared to move...but now (8 weeks pp) I am comfortable to sleep on my tummy and wonder how I made it so long without it!
