when is it too much to freeze?

I now have well over 450 oz in the freezer and am adding 20 oz or so a day to this stash. Should I try and drop one pumping and slow my amount going to the freezer? I am still paranoid I will loose my supply now that I am back at school but its getting out of hand how many bags are in our freezer. I have been transfering them to the deep freeze in sections of 20 frozen bags.

thoughts???

  • Wow. How much are you pumping? 20 oz a day is A LOT!

  • all I can say is I'M JEALOUS!!! I only wish I had made that much!
  • I say some bm is better than none. If your supply tanks you can still use it a couple of feedings a day if you end up going to formula. I would drop a feeding if it helps you out.

I plan on using my stash for when I plan to wean later on so that at least he's getting some benefits of bm past when I can provide it myself.

  • I was in a similar situation a few weeks ago.  I dropped a pumping session.  I am still getting an extra 10-15oz a day.  I plan to drop another session soon.  Things just felt like they were getting out of hand and I don't have the option of a deep freeze at this time.
  • I EP and pump almost 10 oz a session for 5 to 6 sessions a day. She eats 5 oz 6 to 7 times a day... Hence the large amount. I guess since I always pumped after she ate when I did BF I developed a larger supply.
  • HOLY MOLY!!! I am SO jealous! I only have about 30oz (yes, three zero)and was happy with that. I would drop one if I were you. That sounds like a great deal to me.
