Working Moms did you buy a 2nd carseat for sitter?

Right now we have a 2nd base for my Mom who watches DS during the day, but he is quickly outgrowing his infant carrier.  We purchased the Evenflo Triumph premier for DS but it is such a pain to put in and out of the car we are thinking of purchasing a 2nd one for my Mom but DH is concerned abouat he money?

I would if Mom was the sitter.  My DCP doesn't take DS in a car.  There is no way I would hassle with moving a carseat everyday.  The benefit out weighs the cost IMO.

Are you saving any money by having your mom as the sitter? Personally, I rather get the second seat then have to take it in and out of the car every day.?

What about in the instance of an emergency?  I would want to know that in the event that dd needed to be put in a car there was a plan in place to have a car seat available.  Even if it is a less expensive one.

Right now she has the infant carrier, which doesn't need a base.  She also has her own for emergency.  There is always 2 caregivers so it is unlikely they will go somewhere unplanned.
