We do three spoon feeds a day (my pedi wants us to be doing 3 by 9 months - so since we are 8.5 months, I started with 3). They eat at 8:00, 11:30, 3:30, and then have a bottle before bed. As far as napping, we do two nap a day - around 9 and 1...but that just depends on what time they wake up in the morning. This morning the didn't get up till 8, so the schedule will shift by an hour!
I'm TRYING to do 3 spoon feeds a day but my boys still take 3 naps and prefer the bottle. When we DO do 3 meals, I feel like we live in those highchairs and they're not at all interested in feeding themselves even though I put puffs out every time. Here's where we are right now:
wake - 7oz (which I think should be a meal but they howl for that bottle)
Mine are a few weeks behind yours, but we're still on 2 spoon feeds per day (breakfast and dinner) - no plans to add a third yet, they are very difficult feeders! As far as napping they both usually nap 3 times per day, but it still REALLY varies.
we are still on two spoon feeds plus a good snack of some sort in the afternoon when they can practice picking up foods.
as far as napping we have a great day when we have 3 and cranky pants when we have 2...but our long naps are in the am around 9 and then 1:30 and they usually catnap when I am running errands around 11am or so.
Re: Moms of 8 month twins please come in...
We do two solid meals per day and 4 bottles. We usually have three naps per day, but sometimes it's only two (they occasionally drop the evening nap).
I know we are supposed to go up to 3 meals per day soon, but I'm thinking we will wait until their 9-month appointment to ask the pedi.
Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
