I JUST had to deal with this two days ago with Aubrey. I called the nurse and she said it's very common for babies to get clogged tear ducts. She told us to gently massage the area between her eye and nose. Also, keep wiping the gunk away with a clean clothe throughout the day, but never repeatedly rub with the same area of the clothe to avoid infection. It worked right away for Aubrey! As long as the eye isn't pink or red, it's fine! Hope this works for you!

DITTO!
Quinn has a clogged duct from birth. It can take up to a year to go away.
yeah, clogged duct. My ds still has this going on. Just use a wet warm washcloth to wipe the gunk off..also massage it like the pp said. My pedi also gave me an ointment to help clear it up that I have to use when it flairs up but works well. I am waiting for it to go away...could be awhile.
