November 2024 Moms

Feeling huge already

I am pregnant with baby #2, I know every pregnancy is different but, for me it’s been night and day! With my first I had an anterior placenta placement and so I just didn’t show or get very big very fast. Additionally she was my first so it was a slower time. But with this one I feel like I’m as big as I was with her at 42 weeks already! (I promise I’m not lol) I started this pregnancy at a higher weight and started showing very early on. Baby is on the bigger side too, and I’ve started having slight mobility issues which is discouraging. This happened much later with my first.

Does anyone else feel like they’re blowing up or just me? 😅

I also took a long time showing with my first! I have a tilted uterus, so my OB told me that was normal. Second pregnancy definitely showed quicker, but it evened out and in the end I gained about the same amount of weight both times.

This time, I feel like I completely ballooned lol. At 12 weeks I looked about the same as I did at 25 weeks with my first. It was mostly bloat though, now at 18 weeks I feel like the bump has kind of stayed the same for a bit. I've gained more weight at this point than previously, but my start weight was also a bit lower this time around, so I know it's sort of evens out!

This is #4 for me and I’m 10lbs shy of the heaviest I’ve ever been while pregnant. I got back down to pre-preg weight after my first 3 but happened to gain before getting pregnant this time.
My stomach is huge and just feels full. Of bloat, baby, all of it!
I’m somehow still working out 5 days a week on the elliptical but am out of breath walking upstairs, etc.
Idk what to do at this point except try not to stress and enjoy the ride. We’ll get to the finish line eventually and then we’ll start feeling more normal.

PS: I recommend prenatal yoga (tons of free videos on YouTube) to help with the mobility situation. Helps to strengthen the muscles around the joints and ligaments that get all loosy goosy d/t relaxin.

I’m totally lurking in the November club (edd 12/4, but who really knows I guess), but this really interested me. I’ve been wishing I could do prenatal yoga somewhere but lack the funds for a good in-person class. Are there any particular channels/instructors you’ve liked and would recommend? My hips are killing me 😂
  • I'm huge for 18w but then it's baby #3. Mainly my bump is very hight but that's because I've got diastasis but only above my belly button so that's where the pressure wants to come though. I had excess fluid at the end of my last pregnancy so I'm really hoping that won't happen again because I was humongous, even one of the midwives thaught I was having twins.
  • Yes! I am 19 weeks into my first pregnancy and from like 10 weeks family was commenting that I was already as big as they were at 25-30 weeks! Lots of “you are it’s not twins?” and someone recently asked if I was due in August…nope, try adding 3 months. Thankfully I haven’t gained too much weight, but the boobs and belly and HUGE!
