My daughter is 2, She was maybe 10 months when she started rubbing against the crotch bar in highchairs, shopping carts, booster chairs and her car seat. Recently I've noticed she is using her hands now. Her body gets tense and she has the blank stare. Does anyone else's child do this? Did they grow out of it? Worried that something is wrong. I am hoping she will not have this problem later when she starts school.
Re: Daughter rubbing herself against high chair and carseat
This sounds like maybe she's uncomfortable, not just exploring her body.
Anything in this realm has me on high alert for sexual abuse too. If I were you, I would just read about the red flags and what to look out for, and just what her and see if she's displaying any of the signs of having been abused.
I think this would be a mild red flag to me? I'd have questions.
