Hello Everyone! So I had an incident today at a baseball game and need some input from some other parents. So my wife and I took my son 6 and daughter 3 to a semi professional baseball game. We went two weeks ago and it was fine we usually only stay half the game because the kids start to get restless and it gets late. So anyway we took the kids to the fan shop and they got foam bats. They are like a foot and a half or so. We go to our seats and are second row isle and the 4 seats in front of us are open. We had a couple maybe mid 40s behind us. They were loud the whole time we were there yelling stuff about tge players and stuff. This is important later. We watch about two innings then my son wants to move up to the front so we let him and he wanted to play a game for a bit on my phone so I let him. After the fourth inning he get up and was playing with his bat just standing there and fake hitting nothing crazy or anything no one was within two seats of him. Then a older usher comes up and tells him in a aggressive tone he needs to sit down, stop playing with the bat, and behave himself. Like I said I am not exaggerating when I say his tone was aggressive. I instantly said to him hey that's enough you are not going to talk to my son like that if there is an issue you can address it with me. He said something like ohh I can't yes I can. At this point I get up because he is leaning over in my face and said no you are not he is 6 years old. If you have a problem you can talk to the parent. At this point a guy right behind me tells me to sit down. I didn't address him and said to the usher it's fine we are leaving. The guy behind us and the girl he was with keep saying stuff. The women said your kids have been distracting us all game. I said i have had to listen to you yell and complain all game. My wife said apparently you don't have kids. The women said no I don't but if I did they would have better manners. I said he is 6 years old at a baseball game having fun. They said some other stuff and my wife called her a Karen while we were leaving. Now I am not going to say my kids were perfect, my daughter was moving around between our seats a bit much and going to the seats in front of us. I told her a few times to sit down if she was by the isle. She was playing with her coloring book most of the time though. My son was actually really good and enjoys baseball so outside of the foam bat incident he was in his seat. My guess is maybe the people behind us told the usher they moved up or something. Just wanted to get some input and see what everyone else thinks about the situation. Thanks
