My 2 month old only wants to be held by mom… help!

All of a sudden my 2 month old doesn’t want to be held by anyone else exempt me as the mom. My husband can’t hold her, or her grandparents or aunts/uncles… people who’ve previously held her and she was content with. It’s been going on a couple weeks. Is this normal? Anyone else going through this or have tips? She’s going to daycare soon and I worry she’ll cry the entire time.

Has your husband tried holding her while shes calm and almost asleep? Does he have the chance to feed her? Also, sometimes you just have to leave the house (not just the room), and let them work through it. It may be frustrating at first for them, but she should realize pretty quick that dad can provide all the food, safety, and snuggles that mom does. Best of luck.

This happened to me! My LO is 11 weeks old and he was having a really tough time with anyone but me. I pretty much had my husband do as many feedings and burping a as possible and would sit with him while he was doing it. Same with diaper changes and play time when he was happy and in a good mood. We’d do it together and then I’d slowly pull away little by little. Within about a week and a half things were way better and my LO is all about dad now.
