What number are you trying for? #4

Month/Cycle? 5/5 but first IVF cycle

WTO/TWW? Waiting for transfer, its supposed to be Wednesday, hopefully our 4 little fertilized eggs are growing. 

Ages of other child(ren)? 9, 7 and turned 5 yesterday. 

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm a little sad that out of 9 mature eggs only 4 fertilized. I was hoping for more.

Rant/Rave? My micropreemie turned 5 yesterday. My 1 pound 9 ounce baby is now a 40 pound crazy five year old. I truly cannot believe how far she has come.

If I could afford it we would go to the Titanic wreckage, my son is Obsessed.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just hoping to go back to regularity after a loss.

Rant/Rave? Going on a ten day vacation at the end of the week.  SOOOOOOO excited to get away. 

GTKY: Where do you want to take your kid/s some day? We did Disney last year and it was my favorite trip of my entire life.  I am trying to talk my husband into going again next year.  I would also love to go to the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. Thanking of doing the falls in the fall.

@ReadyForaB we just took DS to Niagara Falls last week! He kept saying “cool!” 😂 he’s a little too young yet, but we were close by.

Rant/Rave? Selling a house is hella stressful… even worse is the added stress of building a house and not having a move in date 😬 but I’m finishing up 2 of my 3 summer courses this week! Yay! 

GTKY: Where do you want to take your kid/s some day? I would love to take DS to Phoenix. I lived out there for 3 years, and I can’t wait to take him out there and show him around!

GTKY: Where do you want to take your kid/s some day? I can't wait to take DS to Disney World. I have so many happy memories of vacations there when I was little and I am excited to make new memories with him and any future sibling(s). I just hope Disney gets it together with the mess that is Genie + or whatever it's called. I usually stay very up-to-date with park news (even though we haven't been in 5+ years) and my head keeps spinning over that one.

@mambo5-2 that's cool that your son is obsessed with Titanic lore! I know everyone's story is different, but try not to get too anxious over the number of fertilized eggs you got. We had a very low rate that went down with each retrieval, but had success on round 3. DS was our only embryo. So while it is nerve-wracking when your numbers aren't what you want, it doesn't mean the cycle is a bust. 

@ejoseph16 ugh, I can't imagine trying to sell my house. I would love to move since we have major buyer's remorse, but just the thought of trying to sell this place stressed me out. 

@ReadyForaB oooh, 10 day vacation sounds fantastic. Enjoy!!

It’s mega nerdy but I want to take our son back to Harry Potter land at Universal Studios. We went when I was pregnant. We’ve been listening to the books on our way to and from daycare and I used to read them to him as I rocked him before naps back when he would let me do that.

@iiirene H and I went to universal in July 2020 and it was awesome, it was empty, no lines 4 says we did all the things

@iiirene We were in universal for one day last year (in the middle of our disney trip) and we completely skipped over the HP part.  My son was very into Marvel.  I'm still a little sad about it haha.

@mambo5-2 @ReadyForaB I was so disappointed when we went because my husband and in-laws went all all the HP rides and I couldn’t go on any of them. At one point I cried but I blame the hormones for that lol. I spent our entire trip to Disney and universal just eating all of the delicious food and playing with my wand. My MIL had the audacity to make snarky comments on how much I was eating and how much I spent on the wand. I juuust about lost it on her.

Ages of other child(ren)? 3 weeks shy of her 3rd birthday

Any thoughts about this cycle? First food poisoning, now a cold...if this were a normal cycle, I would be Oing right about now, but I have no idea if/when it will happen this time.

Rave: I might be slowly convincing DH to go on a Disney cruise in late September! I always wanted us to take one vacation as a family of three. He's nervous about traveling with a 3-year-old, but DD is one of the most adaptable kids I've ever met--and seriously, it's Disney, so she's going to have an amazing time.

@hestia-is-wearie so sorry you’re sick again! We took DS in his first vacation a few weeks ago. He was definitely thrown off because he’s a routine kid like I am, so we had a few issues (mostly our traveling days, we drove to Toronto), but he had a blast and so did we! Go for it!
