Hi everyone!
My HCG blood test results will be ready in one hour, and I will update this post with the results when I get them. Whatever the outcome, I’m hoping this story will help other people TTC.
I just turned 38 years old. My last period was March 2nd and today is April 12th. It’s been 42 days since my last period. My cycle is normally 24-28 days long. This is the second time in my life I’ve missed my period, the only other time I was pregnant. (I miscarried)
I’ve taken at least ten urine tests, the first one being at day 30 of my cycle, the last one I took was two days ago: ALL NEGATIVE. Not even a faint line.
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years. We only got pregnant once, in the first month of our marriage. I miscarried at about 6-7 weeks.
For the past few weeks I’ve been having extreme mood swings- like emotional break downs, for no reasons. My mom and I are at each other’s throats and my husband is keeping his distance, lovingly. I have been feeling fine one second and the next I’m in hysterical tears or being angry at someone.
I’ve also had: mild cramps (with pain going down to my thighs), bad back pain, ocasional headaches, very gassy, tender breasts (but mild), swollen breasts, some heartburn and lightheaded, dizzy. My discharge has been white and creamy- more than usual.
Since my period just disappeared on me, and I’m having all of these negative urine tests after being 2 weeks late for my period, of course I’m hoping I’m pregnant but I’m also worried! What if I’m having a hormonal imbalance? Or super early menopause? Or a cyst? Or cancer?... I know, what is the point of stressing out until you have to, just figure it out, right? So, while I wait for my obgyn appointment, I went and got a hcg blood test.
As soon as I know the results, (in one hour!) I will update this post.
Love to all! 💕
Re: Blood Test Taken This Morning @ 42 days since last period- all urine tests negative
Hi, I'm sorry but this isn't how this board works. You've happened across the most supportive corner of the internet, but you just bounced in here without so much as an introduction talking as if we should have any interest in your blood test results today? That's rather presumptuous of you that you should think your story is so unique and so important that you'll inspire a bunch of internet strangers, some of which have been around here and "known" each other for YEARS.
If you'd like to stick around, please read the stickied threads at the VERY top of the page labeled "NEWBIES, READ THIS FIRST!", then the "Welcome, New Members!" post and familiarize yourself with how we do things around here.
And for the love of god, do not, under ANY circumstances, come back here if your blood test was positive. If it was, congratulations, and please move on to your BMB or the 1st Tri Board. Some of the women here have been trying for years as well and have never been pregnant, and out of utmost respect for them the very last thing they want/need is a complete stranger flouncing in here waving their BFP as some kind of self-proclaimed inspirational unicorn.

The narcissism of this post is truly astounding. There is no question here-- you just clearly think that a bunch of strangers on the internet are interested in the end of this story. They are not. Lot's of weird things happen to people. These women all know and support each other, you are just mucking up an ongoing conversation, and potentially being hurtful just waving your (maybe) pregnancy in people's faces. They really don't care if another random stranger is pregnant.
Also-- actual reminder that may be helpful to women TTC-- urine pregnancy tests are really accurate. Especially the digital ones and the FRERs, but really after a missed period, any dollar store test will do. If you have strange symptoms, and you are testing negative on those tests, see a doctor. You are probably not pregnant, but you might have some underlying condition (yes-- like a cyst) that is causing your missed period and your symptoms.

omg whyyyyy
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.
Wow, bumping old peggies to complain more about your own one-off-post response seems like a new era in drive-by posting. Kudos, knottienumbersletters. You have outdone yourself.
These posts always feel like the equivalent of a person just walking into a doctor's office and asking the secretary random medical questions. Then when the secretary says "Oh yes, you can get some information here, but first you need to schedule an appointment, fill out some paperwork, and see the doctor", and the person is like "NO! YOU ARE RUDE. I DESERVE ANSWERS. IT'S NOT MY FAULT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW DOCTOR'S OFFICES WORK. OTHER DOCTORS ARE NICER." (but, inexplicably, I don't want to *go* to those doctors, I just want to stand here and yell at you.)
