Baby Names

Lola or Alaska

My boys are Lane and Lake, wanted a unique name for baby sister doesn't have to be an L name. My husband prefers Lola and I prefer Alaska. Alaska is alot to handle but I like it and think Lola is too trendy. I think both are pretty in their own respect

Lola Ember

or

Alaska Jean

Re: Lola or Alaska

  • Lola is a name, Alaska is a state. I would go with Lola, it’s very pretty.

  • @paytonpedro then what about women named Georgia or Carolina? 😆

I like both names. And I don't think Lola is too trendy. Honestly between the two I gravitate towards Alaska

    Agreed.

  • Lola, sorry but would you name your child Michigan?

  • Alaska jean!
  • As a teacher that judges a few names on my class roster over the summer (I know it sounds rude, but I've had names like Anakin, Dukodah, Mattalyne when dads name was Matt, and so on), I would personally steer clear of Alaska as a name. However,  if you're trying to pick a name that other kids their age won't have, Alaska is a safer bet than Lola.
  • Lola is much better. You don’t want her to get teased constantly
