This is a weird one to be thankful for - but I'm going with it. I'm thankful for the last 1.5 years of remote work (beyond the fact that I've been able to keep working). I work in a really fast pace, demanding, professional environment. Long hours and busy work days. My boss has been on board with me working from home 100% these past few weeks while I've been sick. I don't know how I would have ever survived going into the office 5 days a week during this first tri!
I am thankful for my in-laws today. I know some people struggle with their IL relationship (and I have at times, but thankfully it has been good in general), but my MIL really is fantastic. She keeps DS three days during the week while I work (from home) and they both love their time together. She does so many thoughtful things for us, and is incredibly supportive.
I am really thankful that elective ultrasound places exist. I never even thought to do it with my son, I'm not sure why, but after last year's loss it's just nice to know there are places to go that you can get a little peace of mind or just take a quick peek if you feel you need it.
I'm thankful for the flexibility my job this year has afforded me. At times I feel guilty (former teacher, when I was at work it was literally non-stop for 7 hours) but then I remind myself to just be thankful for this opportunity and enjoy it.
