R/R: my husband just told me it’s chicken wing and bj day (I’ve never heard of it and there’s a good chance he’s making it up lol) and if he doesn’t come home with chicken wings he’s not getting a bj. 🤣🤣

CS/Q: not ttc related, and can totally be hormones from af but- if a medication lists depression as a side effect, and I’m feeling pretty weepy, is that related? I don’t have depression and sometimes feel weepy on my period but I’m wondering if this medication is intensifying this weepy feeling and if it’s going to last longer than af does? That would be miserable. Any insight?
  • *lurking from TWW*

@paytonpedro possibly... For me, being weepy is different from being mildly depressed though. I get weepy from hormones changing (like being on my period) but I've had antidepressants/anxiety meds give me mild depression (I was on them for migraines), and it was a more of a  numb feeling, and like I didn't want to do anything.

  • @pajamstagrams thank you so much for answering that. That makes sense. I’m definitely not numb. I’m having all the feelings lol.
  • @paytonpedro I'm sure everyone experiences depression differenly, but my moments have always been more apathetic vs all the feelings, even when non-medically induced (like when I get super stressed)

@paytonpedro that reminds me that BW3s has boneless Thursday today! As for your question, sounds like the medication is just making you more emotional or mood swings than being depressed. Like @pajamstagrams, with depression I get into these "I don't want to do anything" moods or things just aren't appealing to me like not having a taste for anything even though I'm hungry. I'm never the can't get out of bed even to shower type so I have high functioning depression.

R/R: my boss is working on putting together a description for a technical support specialist role for our group and I am so excited about it. This person would handle the majority of the customer calls and emails so that we can focus more on project/big picture/operations kind of stuff. It'll be nice to get that off our plates as we can't really dedicate time consistently on our projects and goals and make improvements overall to our department (like putting together documentation or updating it). Plus the idea was that this would be a new grad kind of person who would have the ability to move to a number of different areas within the company once they've had the experience with customer inquiries under their belt.
CS/Q: I'm back to hating being in the office because yesterday evening my opk was at 0.87 so I thought I would get my peak this morning but it was 0.85! My late morning opk just now was 0.58 so I must have had a really short surge and had a peak yesterday that I couldn't test for being in the office. I have had O pains the past 2 days or so. Thank god I got DH to DTD last night even though it was so late. Otherwise we'd be kinda screwed as the only other time was Sunday. The shit timing cycles are always the successful ones right?

  • @inthewoods23 BW3’s? I’m assuming Buffalo Wild Wings? Yeah. We’re kinda wing snobs where I live haha. Without explicitly telling you where, I think there one around here but it’s not too popular. Lol. Also thank you for answering my question! I’m kind of thinking more hormones than the medication.
That’s really nice that your boss is creating a new position for your team and that it will hopefully make your job easier! I hope you guys find the perfect person for the job! Honestly it sounds like my kind of position! I love customer service type jobs- answering phones, emails, etc. Also, hopefully Sunday or last night nailed it for you! I feel like it really is the cycles you’d least expect! Lol.
  • @paytonpedro lol to wings and bj day! :joy: On the med, my best advice would be to keep an eye on it, and if it hasn't let up after like a week maybe, to bring it up to your doctor. Sorry you're experiencing that. FWIW, my depression also manifests itself less as weepy and more as numbness/apathy/lack of will to do most things and being really hard on myself ("you should do X, you're lazy, etc.")
@inthewoods23 fingers crossed! And yay on the upcoming hire, sounds like it'll make things a little easier for the rest of you.

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon, metformin for me, vit e and c for him
R/R: halfway through my first day of classes! It's going to be an interesting semester for sure. It's nice to be on campus again.
CS/Q: I think I'm going to ovulate in the next few days, fingers crossed!

  • @fantasyflyte I’m only on the medication for 2 weeks so I feel like if I feel like this but have no other side effects it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Especially if it helps my issues! Thank you so much for sharing your experience though! This has all been so helpful for me!
I’m so happy for you that you get to be back on campus! I definitely did better with in person classes vs online when I was in school. And your chart is looking so nice!!!
  • @paytonpedro Agree with the others’ comments re: depression, I’d generally describe it as hopeless feelings or no feelings at all. But I imagine when listing it as a side effect there’s probably a spectrum, where generally strong emotions could be part of it. Whatever the cause, sorry you’re experiencing this!
@inthewoods23 Glad you have some help coming! I know how much that can lift the team up when some of those ground level tasks. Also +1 for calling it BW3, and I’ll add B-dubs as an alternative naming as well.
@fantasyflyte Hoping that’s a good “interesting” lol. Glad you’re able to be back on campus!

R/R: Feeling really, really tired lately. Physically, mentally, and emotionally tired. I’ve gotta figure out a way to get my energy back but I can’t sacrifice anything going on in my personal or professional life right now. So basically I need to manufacture energy out of thin air. Normally I swing back from general period sadness but now, but I think life is catching up with me.
CS/Q: meh, I’m on mobile so not sure what the image will look like.

  • @pinkkillersheep I'm sorry things are rough for you. I know you can't cut things out, but do you have room to schedule some you time? Even if it's "just" vegging and watching TV, sometimes planning a block of "I don't think about anything responsible during this time" can really help because it forces you to relax.
  • @fantasyflyte I’m definitely getting zero responsibility time put into my late evenings. I think I’m just burnt out to be honest, which is where pretty much everyone is. At least tomorrow is Friday.
