@queenklau Yes, it's my first pregnancy and I think I have a number of sweater/blazers/jackets I can wear through the second trimester, if not the third. I have this huge, comfy cardigan that I call my blanket cardigan that I fully expect to wear constantly once winter hits and I'm in my third trimester. Definitely the pants that won't make it though, lol! I will start with your suggestions and see where I'm at in the next couple months! Thanks!! 😁
I wear scrub tops to work at the hospital, but have always worn “yoga pant” work pants that look like normal dress work pants but are a super stretchy yoga pant material. They’re stretching for my belly now but I’m starting to push it— Does anyone know if there is a similar stretchy maternity pant brand that just feels like yoga pants but looks like dressier pants?
Anyone have any suggestions for bump friendly snow pants? It is absolutely necessary for me to have some snow pants here in VT. My overalls will work ok for the beginning of winter-maybe-but I was due for some new ones anyway. I guess I'd need a stretchy waist band and adjustable. This is definitely a specific item but didn't know if we had any winter climate people who had recommendations?
Ok guys what pants are you loving? I'm down to one pair that fits- I hate hate the side inserts right now they are not staying up- and I'm just really not loving that everything I can find in my size is friggin' cropped or ankle length! Like we have winter here y'all I don't need chapped ankles. That's what my current pants are and I'm having to wear extra long socks to cover the gap (a problem I know we've discussed)! But anywho, I'd love something wearable post partum, but trying to embrace @doxiemoxie212 's advice from earlier in the thread that we buy clothes for our babies and they wear them for less than 9 months, lol.
@SmashJam I find side inserts on actual pants (ie, not leggings) stay up way better than full panel, so I'm no help. I live in leggings and sweatpants, though, because I can't tolerate non-super-soft fabrics lolol.
Maybe thick maternity tights and skirts/dresses if you need a more professional look than leggings/sweats?
@doxiemoxie212 Well I don't need professional, per se...I have to do recess duty and winter activities with kiddos and skirts don't go under snow pants well, def not dresses. It's such a weird problem to have! I wear skirts and leggings sometimes and take the skirt off for recess duty lol.
@SmashJam I'm actually using Figgs straight leg. They have side pockets! They are so comfy and I wear black and they go with everything even though they are considered scrubs. I just ordered more but I got some blanqi ones. Omg they are not kidding they are compression leggings it's a chore to get them up and I'm like winded but they are thick and look good if you want leggings specifically.
