@lexilougolden I’m 5,2” and I usually buy pants in long length because I have a shirt torso and long legs. Certain brands apparently make long length maternity jeans, I just bought some off Poshmark.
The theee brands were Old Navy, ASOS and Gap. You could search there to see if you find the long length. I got 3 jeans for $27 off Poshmark.
@makingbacon over the belly ones, they were the regular target maternity brand (ingridx...someone?). one pair was considered "active-wear" so the material is a little thicker and more like regular athletic leggings, the other pair are just regular soft leggings (they may have been considered postpartum leggings but I don't remember). highly recommend going into your local or other suburban target to try them on
Motherhood maternity has a sale going on right now. And if you sign up you get an extra 15% off. I got two jeans, 3 fall shirts and a bathing suit for $60. Free shipping too!
Motherhood had a killer sale today too! 80% off select items (big selection IMO) and free shipping!
I had a black pair of those maternity sleep pants for DSI. Recommended to me from another mom who’d had a c section for postpartum pants. I found out a few weeks before my die date I’d need a c sec, ordered the pants, and oh my god I lived in them lol. Super comfy and soft, and were above my incision. Highly recommend
@angelz429 Did you check MM today? They may have finally ended their sale but I kept getting texts that they were extending it lol—even up to 80% off? I hadn’t checked lately. Trying to avoid BC I really don’t *need* any new maternity clothes…. 😬
I have been living in my new Kindred Braverly joggers and am doing everything I can not to buy a second pair….
I finally bought some new bras (well, my mom treated me when she was here a couple weeks ago - thanks mama)! Got them all from a local shop but I think they're national brands. Very comfortable and all are nursing/maternity compatible. I got fitted by the attendant and I picked styles/sizes she said I'd grow into (ie - anything that had a "busty" option). They're definitely on the pricey end, but I figured if I'm going to be living in these for the next year+, I want them to hold up, feel good, and make me feel good too. Links are from the shop's online store. Bravado nursing bralette - great for sleeping in Kindred Bravely sublime hands-free pumping and nursing bra - super heavy duty, has removable pads, but excited to use this with the wearable pump I want. it does compress me a bit but that might be user error Cake Lingerie chantilly nursing bralette - super cute and made me free pretty Natori Bliss wireless bra - I liked the light padding in the cup, also cute Cake Lingerie tutti frutti nursing bra - I got this in Rust and Black, it's my favorite lounging bra right now and I love the fall color! not a huge fan of the racerback but I feel attractive and put together once it's on, plus it is very comfortable.
@chgilmore I have the kindred bravely bra you listed, and it’s awesome. The only issue(s) I had were moving the pump openings of the inside layer so my boob didn’t try to squeeze through it, and it started to gap on the sides as I started drying up because my boobs shrunk. It was super handy though for pumping while working and/or driving, and I will be breaking mine out again this time.
Motherhood has a sale tonight only -- $20 for their jeans (usually 40+?). Last pregnancy I didn't wear jeans (wtf was I wearing? I think skirts and dresses? I have like two pairs of casual hiking preggo pants and that's it!), but I'd really like a pair this time, so I ordered two pairs (one in the size I think I am now, one in the next size up). I hope they're as good as the reviews say!
I haven't worn them yet because I ordered a size bigger. I'm finding I can't do anything tight (or on my belly) so I'm going to wear baggy jeans! Hopefully they'll fit soon! They're also long enough for my height-wahoo!
@lexilougolden have you tried them on yet? I ended up having to go down a size in maternity pants! And I have to get the belly band ones in this brand or they’re too short! I’m 5’8. But I love these! Wearing some skinnies now!
If you can’t wear anything tight. I found a cute pair of boyfriend jeans from Walmart, and the belly band is much looser and thinner than the target brand!
@chgilmore ooooh that is so tempting but I run SO HOT in pregnancy I know it would be a waste on me. I bought a fancy maternity winter coat with my first (a December baby) and didn't wear it once even in the Boston winter
In my last pregnancy I was aggressively bombarded with ads for Blanqi but could never justify the price. They're on sale right now so I bought a few leggings and a tank top and I'm obsessed! Might just buy some more and make that be my pregnancy wardrobe going forward.
Re: Product Spotlight: Maternity Clothes
Loving me some Target maternity jeans and leggings...super comfy and relatively inexpensive, and I actually got to try them on in the store
These jeans are $5 (xs, s & m)
