Does anyone else feel like they get too overwhelmed by everything they have to do, so they just sit and do nothing instead? Things I should be doing- my job obviously, putting away yesterday’s laundry, potting the flowers we bought on Saturday, unloading the dishwasher, insert other short household chores here. Instead I’m just sitting here unable to move or do anything and it’s almost noon.

I've gone down a podcast rabbit hole. When I first started listening to podcasts in late-2019, I mostly stuck to true crime stuff, but within the last few months I've started to also listen to psychology podcasts (I have my MA in Counseling) and I loooooooove it. Shrink Chicks, Personality Hacker, and Betches Moms are a few of my recent favorites. Shrink Chicks just had one of my favorite authors (Emily Nagoski) last year and it was very insightful, and now I need to go download her recent audiobook (Come As You Are).

I also started listening to the Kiss Me Quicks podcast, because uhhhh... it's spicy. LOL

@BusinessWife same, except for conception. It was pineapple core at 6dpo because I bought a fresh whole pineapple for the first time since we've been TTC 😂

@inthewoods23  ooh, yummy!  What the heck took you so long!?? lol We got one last cycle too, even though by now it just feels more like tradition than anything else. lol  sweet, sweet, juicy tradition!

@BusinessWife our side by side fridge is just the absolute worst. So storing lots of fresh fruit or loading up on a whole bunch of meat and chicken is practically a no most of the time. Surprisingly I did fit all the pineapple in a cylindrical container while the bottom shelf is almost completely taken up by half a watermelon and a large container containing cubes of the other half of the watermelon haha. I want a french door sooo bad.

I’m at my parents house today and my dad bought a brick (a legit BRICK) of sharp cheddar because my mom is out of town (she doesn’t eat much dairy). I have eaten half a brick of cheese in the last 4 hours. It’s not going to end well.

@rachelredhead ohhh I miss real cheese. Having to eat vegan cheese is my least favorite part of being on a dairy free diet.

@rachelredhead @b_1029  Joining in the love of cheese convo here: I’d also been off of cheese & dairy for a long time, and missing it dearly. I recently went to the functional medicine doc and she said I don’t have an inflammatory response to dairy. Cue the celebration... and hoarding of cheese on my next trip Costco😬

@b_1029 My FFTC is that I've never seen the Friends finale. Some of you may already know this about me, lol. My reasoning at the time was that if I didn't watch it, it wasn't really "over" and was just on perpetual hiatus until they came back. Except now they're coming back and I'm in a mad rush to watch Season 10 so that I'll be caught up. I have even managed to go all these years without spoiling it for myself. Pretty sure I'm out of excuses as to why I haven't seen it, other than just being lazy. Other excuses include 1. it isn't on Netflix anymore (and when I would binge it I always inexplicably started at the beginning and have never once made it past season 8), and 2. they rarely, if ever, show anything past season 8 when it is on reruns on syndication... I know the last 2 seasons were pretty terrible but when they have a marathon they should really show the entire series not just the middle 5 seasons.

ETA: I've had to dig out my DVDs and I forgot how terrible DVDs are. For one, it isn't even full screen. and you can't skip forwards or backwards.

@kiki047 I did not know that about you!! But, I think the reruns not being past season 8 may be because you are in Canada so I mean it’s a dumpster fire here but at least we have some silver linings?? 😂

@kgg2241 hahaha. Sorry for being obscure: TEW = The Egg Whisperer aka Dr. Aimee. She's an RE here in the Bay Area (also 3rd top rated RE in all of US according to FertilityIQ) and she has a huge social media presence because she hosts Q&A IG shows where listeners from all over the world send in their IF questions, and she answers them live. She's A-mazing. She is/was also my doctor for a while (until we had to find a new one because my company started offering fertility benefits, and she doesn't take insurance. 

@fameonmain2 that's a vote of confidence for your clinic if I've ever seen one!

Edit to add that one of the reasons I left my last job for my current is because they have fertility benefits too. It is so nice more employers are starting to offer them! I'm happy for you!

@kiki047 I think I knew that about you but had forgotten. I vividly remember where I watched it- with my on and off high school boyfriend in his parents’ basement, we were convinced we were the 2nd Ross and Rachel... lol

Just caught up on all the happenings here this week and 1) I didn’t know there is FINALLY going to be a Friends reunion; 2) I told MH, cause we just rewatched all of it this past winter and HE knew it’s coming out and didn’t tell me!!! WTF, man? 3) LOL at @bows22 thinking that @keikilove just popped by to spew Friends hate 🤣🤣🤣 4) CHEESE PLEASE FOREVER I love it all and I love it bad. Costco cheese is the best. They’ve started offering these “cheese platters” that come ready to serve - like 4-5 different cheeses - and we buy it every time we have ppl over now. @keikilove I also have an appointment with a functional medicine doctor in June and I’m literally praying she’ll tell me that I don’t have an inflammation to dairy. Praying. @kiki047 DVDs oh my WORD, what an antiquated piece of technology! Lol. I hope you struggle through the tenth season without the need to skip forward  ⏭ or backward ⏪. 

Speaking of antiquated tech... does anyone still have VHS’s or anything that would play VHS?

Our old van had a VHS player in the back, so we started to pick up a couple here and there, but I don't think we have a standalone VHS player anymore, and the van is long gone. :/  What did you find?

@acleverusername My mom still has her VHS player in the basement, and I have a dual VHS/DVD player that can actually record/transfer stuff from VHS to DVD and vice versa. I did have to use it many years ago to record something for a memorial video, but I haven't used it since.

-- i'm meh about friends, i always really liked the show, i'm not super jazzed for the reunion
-- re: vhs, don't have a player, which i still did. i have a rubbermaid storage container of like every disney vhs from the mid 80s to whenever they stopped making them STILL in the wrapper. my mom would buy 3 - one for me, one for my sister, and one for us to watch. can you imagine thinking vhs was like it, it was never going to be anything else? now i'm like all technology is disposable!
