Noteworthy weekend recap? We told DS this weekend! He's a typical teen and was just like 'Ok, can I go play with my friends now?' Ha, sure bud!! We also went bowling & after 2 hours of chucking a 6 pound ball, I was POOPED!! Actually, I was so uncomfortable I took a Tylenol and crawled into bed. Pretty sure I outdid myself, live & learn!
Week ahead thoughts? Kind of walking on sunshine this week. We had our 1st official appointment this morning so anything the week throws me I can handle, for sure!
Anything new with pregnancy? Nothing new, but broke down & bought actual maternity shorts (ok, really just some with a waist band), a few shirts, and will absolutely be purchasing a sleeping bra. I usually sleep without, but it's just not possible anymore & the girls are only going to get bigger.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) I did Hello Fresh for about a month. Loved everything we received, just got a little pricey after the promo code I used ran out. Our meals were for 2 people & it was always 3 adult servings. I didn’t care for the lack of options, though. There were only ever a handful of meals to choose from & I couldn’t filter it down to something specific. For instance, I wanted dairy free options one week and there weren’t any available. I’ve heard there’s more of a variety (and they have the oven ready versions) with Home Chef. I’m thinking about trying them.
Had my first beta today!! Today is 13DP5DT (equal to 18 DPO) and my result is 1,260. This was an unmedicated transfer, they only put one embryo in. We also abstained.
Dr. Google is telling me I’m pregnant with twins.... normal would be around 600. Anyone else have this happen?? I’m freaking out a little. I can’t find out doubling rate because they aren’t bothering with a follow up (straight to ultrasound in 3-4 weeks). Aaah!
Sorry for the drive by, will come back and edit this after my nap, wicked migraine just wanted to get some insight!

TTC #1 Oct 2015
BFP Mar 26, 2016 - DD born Nov 2016 TTC #2 since Mar 2017 DX: MF June 2019, varicocele embolization Jan 2020, good improvement (14 mil, low motility) IUI#1 Aug 2020 - BFN IVF #1 Dec 2020 (ICSI) - ER, freeze-all - 15 retrieved, 15 mature, 15 fertilized. 4 embryos frozen, all day 5 blasts! FET #1 Feb 2021 - BFN FET #2 Apr 2021 - BFP 5DP5DT!! Beta #1 13DP5DT (17DPO) = HcG 1,238. Beta #2 17DP5DT (21DPO) = HcG 8,269
Noteworthy weekend recap? Went to the farmer's market and that was about it. Pretty quiet. Only major thing I did was cleaning out my office so I could put down my new rug.
Week ahead thoughts? Second ultrasound on Friday! I probably feel a bit anxious about it as its the gestation where I've had all of my other losses (m/c, vanishing twin -- all around 8 weeks along). Other than that, my week is pretty dull!
Anything new with pregnancy? Hopefully nothing other than things are going as they should be! I've been feeling super bloated so I've been living in loose dresses without waistbands. Sleep seems to be hit or miss.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) I think we have tried every meal service! Blue Apron was high quality but the recipes were often not practical -- too fussy. Home Chef just didn't have too many options for us since DH doesn't eat seafood and I'm not a huge fan of chicken. I also wasn't impressed with the ingredient quality. I just got an EveryPlate box last week and we will not be using them again -- it's cheaper, yes, but nothing is separated out in the bag so you have to go through all the ingredients to pick out what you need for a given meal. HelloFresh is the one we've stuck with over the past few years -- the recipes, although somewhat predictable, are tasty and fairly simple.

@mommaduck2490 Ooh so exciting you got some maternity clothes! Glad that your week is off to a great start.. nothing better than feeling like you are walking on sunshine!
@PrettyPalomino Try not to fall down the google rabbit role! There is a range of normal for a beta, a high one doesn’t necessarily mean twins. Hope you feel better after your nap!
Noteworthy weekend recap? Not much happening here.. I worked Saturday. Sunday I took a long afternoon nap and then baked some cookies for a drive-by bridal shower that I’m hosting next weekend! I just have a few things left to get ready for it!
Week ahead thoughts? Super anxious for my first ultrasound on Wednesday. After going through IF, my brain is convinced something is bound to go wrong, since it always does. I just keep taking it one day at a time and reminding myself that “today I am pregnant”.
Anything new with pregnancy? I’m not having a lot of symptoms, which has me a bit worried. My boobs are a bit fuller/sore and I have occasional very subtle nausea.. certain foods also just sound disgusting right now. I think I would just be more reassured if I felt a little more.. sometimes this doesn’t seem real!
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) I used to get chefs plate, which I loved! Delicious meals that were quick and easy.. it was great to not have to try to plan a bunch of meals. I stopped getting it after I was diagnosed with celiac disease, since there aren’t many gf options.

Noteworthy weekend recap? I had the weekend off and did absolutely nothing! Spent most of the weekend with my sweet daughter (21 months) and hubby installed our new security system!
Week ahead thoughts? My first OB appt and u/s is next Thursday... counting down the days! 🤞🏻
Anything new with pregnancy? Significantly more nauseous, and headaches. The bloat is still there for sure, and I think my abdominals have just given up. I had a “scare” this morning when I thought I saw a tiny speck of blood after wiping (PGAL brain is struggling majorly). Nothing has happened since then, so I think I was freaking out for no reason. Trying to stay calm and positive.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) I have tried several, not in a few years though. We’ve tried Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, Terra’s Kitchen, and a few others. We stuck with Blue Apron the longest for several months, but the recipes were kind of complicated and time consuming. Hubby started working later and later, and I lost motivation to make a complicated meal when he may or may not be running late. I will say some of the best recipes we’ve tried were from them, but some were kind of odd. I’ve heard that it’s a little less complicated now, but we haven’t tried in about four years. Now I kind of want to try one of these again!!
Noteworthy weekend recap? Eldest DS turned 7 and we went big! Ok, well it was only immediate family, but I still decorated like he was having a party with all the decor, cake, cookies, etc. I really stick to theming and the kids always love how crazy I get decorating. Had friends over Sunday, grilled and polished off the birthday cake. It was such a nice and sunny day in Chicagoland, which of course is followed by rain and gloom today.
Week ahead thoughts? Just trying to get through the week, taking it one day at a time. Work in CRAZY so trying to stay above water. So glad I am WFH and can do so in the comfort of my pajamas aka leggings.
Anything new with pregnancy? Nothing new, hoping to get in for bloodwork this week.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) We tried Hello Fresh and while everything was good like @mommaduck2490 said there wasn't much variety. There was rice or quinoa in almost every meal and no way to substitute. I most recently signed up for Misfits Market and have only received one box. While the produce itself was great, the packaging was meh. I am getting another delivery this Thursday so hopefully that one is packaged with more care. I love that it's all affordable organic produce, way cheaper that the grocery store.
@misshelen86 yay first appt! That is so exciting. I need to take your advice with the “today I am pregnant” mentality. Thank you for posting this reminder!
@mbradfo2 yay second u/s! I am counting the days until mine next week.
@PrettyPalomino feel better from your migraine, that stinks!!
@mommaduck2490 glad your appt went well today!! I am feeling pretty exhausted too.
Noteworthy weekend recap? We're in the market for a new vehicle so looked at some cars on Saturday, then I woke up with a bad cold on Sunday . Took today off work to rest.
Week ahead thoughts? Getting my first dose of the vaccine on Thursday!
Anything new with pregnancy? Nope, just exhausted... exactly the same as with my first pregnancy.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) We've never tried them.
@mommaduck2490- where did you get shorts? i am going to need some this summer. I def think I'll be in Mat clothes much sooner this second time.
@PrettyPalomino- i think an embryo splitting is like 1/100, so it can happen... but rare! Have you looked at beta base.com? it gives distribution of HCG betas by DPO...
@Mbradfo2- come on Friday!!! more good news I'm feeling!!!
@misshelen86- yay for a scan soon! how far should you be?? i didn't have many symptoms until 6 weeks, so i was anxious for my scan at 5+6...
@rgn12 - nausea is ramping up here. Not fun. but reassuring i suppose??
@PYLWhammy- how far will you be on thursday? i was thinking of getting my first dose on thursday also!! i'm nervous since it will only be 7 weeks... but will i feel any less nervous at 8 or 9 or 10 weeks? i def don't want to wait more than a month...
Noteworthy weekend recap?- nothing too exciting here. Just trying to watch DS (27 months) while DH built a compost bin and did other house stuff.
Week ahead thoughts?- Scan tomorrow morning at 6+6 and need to see a heartbreat!! so nervous.
Anything new with pregnancy? - ugh lots of nausea and first actual throw up this morning. I've been taking unisom at night, but I think i'm going to need a diclegis script again. I did order some B6 candies off amazon and some ginger gum based on your recos, but they aren't coming until Saturday of course!
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) - i have never tried any of the services either! Too frugal i guess... we tend to shop at Aldi/Costco. Maybe I would try them if they would cook themselves! not feeling like cooking too much right now!

@rgn12 I gave it a go but it was, as you said, an epic disaster. The idea was nice, I've give them that, but omg in what world do you make chickpea fritters for a regular weekday dinner? (Not to mention I have no idea how they got theirs to look so good in the picture because mine just fell apart) I had pretty much been OK with the recipes until that point -- somewhat overcomplicated, yes - but that one just took the cake.
We also ended up getting pizza.

Noteworthy weekend recap? My youngest brother got engaged so we all went to celebrate with both families as a surprise party for his fiancé. It was a lot of fun. I had to turn down quite a lot of shots from her family who obviously didn’t know I was pregnant though LOL
Week ahead thoughts? just trying to get through the work week! Nothing very exciting happening.
Anything new with pregnancy? I’m a bit anxious. I got my blood work results back and all my hormone levels were right within the range the should be. My thyroid is elevated though so I will have to talk to my endocrinologist about upping my dose and that will hopefully help with some of the fatigue. My doctor is bringing me in for a viability scan next Friday at 7+2 which I have never had before. I think that’s what is making me anxious. I’ll feel better after I see everything is ok!
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) we have tried a few. We like hello fresh the best by far and get it 1-2 times a month. I also get every plate (which is owned by hello fresh but like half the price) and it is good for every once in a while but I know someone else mentioned they didn’t like how the meals didn’t come separated in bags like hello fresh but that has never bothered me since I’m saving like $30! But they definitely don’t have as many options as hello fresh weekly. The only I disliked the most was home chef and their customer service is nowhere near as good as hello fresh
Noteworthy weekend recap? Sadly over the weekend our province (Canada) went into a pretty strict lockdown due to rising Covid numbers. I was feeling bummed on Friday, but quickly thought up my next lockdown project! Garden beds! SO we spent the weekend shoveling dirt I'm super excited to have some flower beds. No clue what I'm doing but I can learn! Dump truck is dropping off soil on Friday! Although it's calling for a lot of snow on Thursday... eeek.
Week ahead thoughts? Started a new job in HR, so I'm trying to balance learning my role and duties with having EVERYONE home using internet bandwidth for classroom time. DD is in JK (she's 4) and DH is a teacher. This household always has at least one person in google meets. DD just got sent home for virtual learning with this new Covid lockdown, which is likely going to last until the end of the school year It's going to be very hard this time. Last time I had an easy job and could actually meet her needs. This time... not so much. Also, I'm super sick. So is DD. I'm on the fence about Covid testing. It's most likely a head cold, neither one of us caught a fever, and our entire family that we gathered with last weekend all has it too. Some went and got tested and got negative results so we're pretty sure it's just a cold. Either way we aren't going anywhere or meeting anyone for weeks
Anything new with pregnancy? Today was beta #1 after IVF FET #2 and I knew it would be positive since I spent the whole week ordering FRERs and POAS, but there was something SO nice about getting that official confirmation! As previously mentioned, yes, very pregnant. Possibly multiples, or just oddly high numbers for nothing. Fingers crossed it's just one very robust embryo! I don't do multiples.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) Never done it but I've always wanted to! However, as pp's mentioned, hard to justify the price when you still have to cook!

@jamieh2000 YES, betabase is where I found that I fall in the twin range 😬 median for twins for 18 DPO is 1,200, and I’m a bit over that. With that said, the range on these charts is nuts, could very well be a powerful singleton. I was looking for something that displays more like a baby growth chart with percentiles and stuff, but no luck.

Noteworthy weekend recap? Spent lots of time with family & a bridal shower. It was all great but left me pooped!
Week ahead thoughts? Hoping it goes fast! I’m getting anxious for my first OB appt/ultrasound in 2 weeks. Sending good vibes to everyone who has ultrasounds & appointments this week!
Anything new with pregnancy? Feeling more symptoms lately, I have definitely hit the nausea!
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) Just Hello Fresh. I LOVED it and definitely would have continued, but I am married to a very picky eater!
Noteworthy weekend recap? Stayed at my sister's house while my daughter had her first sleepover at my mom and dad's without me. It went well!
Week ahead thoughts? Looking forward to the beach tomorrow with my mom, my sister and her 3 girls. Later in the week I need to schedule a covid test. I need a negative test to go to my OB appointment and for work the first week of may.
Anything new with pregnancy? Nausea, exhaustion, not feeling much like eating, no sex drive, spotting. I am just waiting it out and trying not to overreact.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) Hello Fresh is the only one we have tried. I loved their recipes because they were pretty simple and definitely changed up our usual weekly meals. But I found that some of the produce wasn't the freshest and the portion sizes weren't enough for my husband.
Noteworthy weekend recap? Hi all, new here. Not new to The Bump but new because of third pregnancy! This past weekend my oldest (5) had a sleepover with his best friend from school and the two of them ate candy and popcorn on the couch in their sleeping bags watching Aladdin and Jumanji.
Week ahead thoughts? Just trying to process being pregnant again and going through so many emotions. Probably going to try going back on my anxiety meds since I'm struggling with a lot. But trying to stay positive and enjoy the most of this third and final pregnancy!
Anything new with pregnancy? So I just got my BFP last Thursday and was confirmed Monday from high HCG levels. I already know that I am having a girl! Been having some cramps here and there but nothing too crazy right now.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) Haven't tried any of them but heard good things from Hello Fresh. I buy a lot of premade meals from my grocery store so I don't have to spend all night cooking but I do miss making a nice meal and may try to get back into cooking some fresh food.

@mommaduck2490 That does sound exhausting, hope you got some rest! So happy to hear your appointment went so well!
@PrettyPalomino No insight but that would be crazy! It's going to be a long few weeks haha! So exciting about the flower beds!!! Hope you all feel better soon!
@mbradfo2 Your weekend sounds so nice! Definitely need to hit up the farmers markets this year! Sending all the good vibes for your ultrasound on Friday .
@misshelen86 Yay for long naps!!! The drive-by bridal shower sounds fun! Hope your ultrasound goes so well tomorrow .
@rgn12 So awesome on the new security system! Hope time flies by so you can get that U/S and have some peace of mind.
@misspricklepants Sounds like such a fun time celebrating! So happy to hear it went so well!
@PYLWhammy Car shopping is stressful! What are you leaning towards? Hope you're feeling better!
@JamieH2000 So sorry you aren't feeling well! Hope all the stuff you ordered gives you some relief!
@srprins1987 Congrats to your brother, that's super exciting! Hope you can get everything leveled out, I'm working on the same! Hope the growth scan goes smoothly!
@midwestmomma2 Sounds like a fun weekend - hope you can get some rest!
@scaredunprepared The beach sounds like so much fun - enjoy! Where are you that you need to get a covid tet before OB appointment?
@2b1gmom The sleepover sounds like a hit! Hope you can get some peace of mind!
Noteworthy weekend recap? We got concrete poured for our new patio yesterday! So excited! I also got my blood test back confirming pregnancy so just relieved.
Week ahead thoughts? Just hoping to stay awake during work haha!
Anything new with pregnancy? Nope, this does seem almost exactly the same symptoms, cravings, etc. as my last pregnancy though. I'm a little annoyed as when I called my OB last week they scheduled a call with the nurse and THEN they would order all my blood work? I can't mentally wait that long to get confirmation which is why I ended up getting bloodwork through Quest Direct and paying out of pocket.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) I've tried them all as a trial and then cancelled! Sunbasket was our favorite!
@brookert615 so many props to you for responding to and tagging everyone! It is so tedious to do that on TB. The beach was great and the girls all loved it. I am in NJ. The reason I need a negative covid test for my OB visit is because when I made my appointment I had a cold, so they need confirmation that im covid free 🙄. Honestly though it is a pain, it makes me feel better that they are being so cautious. A new patio is so exciting! When can you use it?
@brookert615 I love our patio -- it gets so much use! We put DD's art table and sand table out there (it's covered). We're planning on buying a new grill over Memorial Day weekend and then we'll probably spend even more time outside; DH loves grilling and I love not having to cook.

Noteworthy weekend recap? We didn't do too much, which was nice. We've had a lot going on lately and a lot coming up so we needed a weekend off.
Week ahead thoughts? We are leaving for a beach vacation Saturday (first vacation in a looonnnggg time) so this week is a little hectic trying to get everything at work wrapped up and get the family packed up and ready to go. DD (23 months) woke up with throw up in her bed this morning and was not in a good mood. I'm really hoping it's not a tummy bug right before we go on our family vacation. Oh and today was school picture day so that was good timing.
Anything new with pregnancy? Just the usual nausea and headaches. We have our first appointment on Friday (7w1d) - we are going early since we will be out of town and I am so eager to see that ultrasound!
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) We've tried them all! We tend to go back to them when we get in a food rut and lately I haven't had the energy to plan out meals and go grocery shopping so we've been doing Hello Fresh. It's my favorite because of the way they package the meals together and I think they offer recipes with more flavor/spice variety than some of the others (I always thought blue apron was a little bland).
@brookert615 what did you like about Sunbasket? As I said before we've never tried any of the delivery services but this thread is inspiring me to maybe look into them!
@PYLWhammy - what kind of vehicles are you looking at? Vehicle shopping is so exciting and stressful! We just bought a new one earlier this month.
@srprins1987 - I hope everything looks great next week at your scan. It's nerve wracking waiting for that first scan.
Noteworthy weekend recap? We took the kids to the zoo Sunday, otherwise we mostly just chilled. It was nice after having a couple busier weekends.
Week ahead thoughts? We're pretty boring over here right now. Our best friends here moved 8 hours away in September, and my only other super close friend just moved to their parents (2.5 hours away) before they move 5.5 hours away this summer. It's a huge bummer. We moved here almost 3 years ago, but it's hard finding SAHM friends especially since COVID because we haven't met anyone new. We're meeting the second friend I mentioned halfway ish to go to a zoo Friday if the weather cooperates.
Anything new with pregnancy? Of course after I felt comfortable enough introducing myself here after I got my third beta back I started spotting and cramping. It's not bright red, so I'm hoping everything is ok. I feel like there's the TWW everyone knows about until testing, and then there's the TWW waiting for the 6ish week ultrasound checking for viability. The second TWW is so much harder for me.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) I've actually never done any of these. They seem expensive and I have the palate of a 5 year old so there's that.
Can you not love it on mobile?!? I didn't see it on the app yesterday.

Noteworthy weekend recap? DH and I put in an offer on a house. They turned us down even though we were well over asking. The housing market in Canada is crazy right now. I'm trying not to stress over it.
Week ahead thoughts? Today I had my dating ultrasound. I was super nervous but everything looked good.
Anything new with pregnancy? I'm measuring a week ahead at 8 weeks.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.) DH and I use to do this but after my first pregnancy I developed a lot of food allergies that went along with my Rosacea so we had to stop. Now I'm cooking away again.
@mockingjay1 the 2nd TWW is soo hard for me too and then I always get nervous after that ultrasound too. I literally just saw my baby's heartbeat and I'm counting down the days until May 19 for my next ultrasound.
@kaitcrystalline I've heard that the market is crazy in general! Which frustrates me --- we were going to sell our house two years ago to move into a bigger place but decided ultimately that the market wasn't that good to really make a good return and just put an addition on the house instead. Now apparently there isn't enough inventory of houses to satisfy demand!

Re: Weekly Check In: 4/19
Week ahead thoughts?
Sorry for the drive by, will come back and edit this after my nap, wicked migraine

(Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.)
I think we have tried every meal service!

"When all is lost then all is found."

I gave it a go but it was, as you said, an epic disaster.

SO we spent the weekend shoveling dirt
Week ahead thoughts? Started a new job in HR, so I'm trying to balance learning my role and duties with having EVERYONE home using internet bandwidth for classroom time. DD is in JK (she's 4) and DH is a teacher. This household always has at least one person in google meets. DD just got sent home for virtual learning with this new Covid lockdown, which is likely going to last until the end of the school year
Anything new with pregnancy? Today was beta #1 after IVF FET #2 and I knew it would be positive since I spent the whole week ordering FRERs and POAS, but there was something SO nice about getting that official confirmation! As previously mentioned, yes, very pregnant. Possibly multiples, or just oddly high numbers for nothing. Fingers crossed it's just one very robust embryo! I don't do multiples.
Meal delivery service thoughts? (Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.)
Never done it but I've always wanted to! However, as pp's mentioned, hard to justify the price when you still have to cook!

(Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.)
Just Hello Fresh. I LOVED it and definitely would have continued, but I am married to a very picky eater!
(Hello Fresh/Blue Apron/Home Chef/etc.)
Hello Fresh is the only one we have tried. I loved their recipes because they were pretty simple and definitely changed up our usual weekly meals. But I found that some of the produce wasn't the freshest and the portion sizes weren't enough for my husband.

Diagnosed with PCOS & Hashimoto's
A new patio is so exciting! When can you use it?
I love our patio -- it gets so much use! We put DD's art table and sand table out there (it's covered). We're planning on buying a new grill over Memorial Day weekend and then we'll probably spend even more time outside; DH loves grilling and I love not having to cook.

@misshelen86 - hope your u/s sounds well today!
@PYLWhammy - what kind of vehicles are you looking at? Vehicle shopping is so exciting and stressful! We just bought a new one earlier this month.
@srprins1987 - I hope everything looks great next week at your scan. It's nerve wracking waiting for that first scan.

I've heard that the market is crazy in general! Which frustrates me --- we were going to sell our house two years ago to move into a bigger place but decided ultimately that the market wasn't that good to really make a good return and just put an addition on the house instead. Now apparently there isn't enough inventory of houses to satisfy demand!

@PYLWhammy It was years ago but the produce seemed the most fresh and it seemed more thought out? We really liked the recipes, too!
@mockingjay1 So sad to hear about friends moving away, that's so tough. I totally get that stress waiting until the viability scan!
