Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a tater tot
Upcoming appointments: tomorrow!
How are you feeling?: nauseous but it seems to be under control, tired, and I’ve now started the headaches but they’re only mild-ish for now
Rants/Raves: saw our friends over the weekend! England is now allowed to see people in groups of 6 outdoors so the boys hung out in one group, the girls in another. It was SO nice to see everyone and catchup! One friend has a four month old and the other is 31 weeks. My one friend said “I think there will be more babies in our group soon, but not this year though” and me and my two friends in the group who know I’m pregnant just looked at each other like “wellllll there’s going to be at least one more!”
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your dream car? Not sure I really have one. Cars are all the same to me 😂 cars are either an SUV, a truck, or just a car. That’s it lol while DH is very into cars. I’d love a luxurious electric car so I’ll go with that, but no specific type
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a gummy bear
Upcoming appointments: Friday for a 9 week US
How are you feeling?: terrible—all the same symptoms just worse
Rants/Raves: I’m disappointed in the preggie pops, they somehow made my nausea worse.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your dream car? I guess I drive my dream car (BMW X7), although it didn’t really become my dream car until we decided it was time to expand our family. Honestly my dream car isn’t really a car, but I’d love to have a really nice RV. We have a travel trailer that we got when Covid started and we love going for long weekend camping trips, but I’d love a class C or something that we wouldn’t have to tow.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Exactly 6w, size of a sweet pea
Upcoming appointments: waiting for the 19th
How are you feeling?: Morning sickness has arrived. Ugh!
Rants/Raves: How do people work with all this nausea!?
GTKY: what’s your dream car? For me, small sedan. For practicality, my small SUV works (Buick Encore). I'm not a big car person and am not a good driver.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a lentil!
Upcoming appointments: 4/8 first u/s
How are you feeling?: ok, symptoms still coming and going. not much nausea, its usually mild when I have it, just enough to not want to eat, but not enough to throw up. That only happened once so far, thank goodness, I hate throwing up.
Rants/Raves: rave: ginger candies have helped my nausea when I have it. rant: i work in healthcare and we have to reuse masks still, and with my increased sense of smell.....this is a challenge lol. old masks def have a funk, especially when you wear them after eating.
Questions: none so far
GTKY: what’s your dream car? I always wanted a jeep wrangler. my dad would never let me have one because he thought i would flip it. Now we have an old one of my husbands but its not running right now, so I just get to stare at it dreaming of driving it one day.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a blueberry
Upcoming appointments: I had to move my ultrasound a whole week later to 4/20 😭
How are you feeling?: I read that prenatals can make you feel worse so I switched to prenatal gummies and I haven’t really felt sick at all since Saturday. I’m really hoping that’s why. Part of me wants to switch back just to see.
Rants/Raves: We told my in laws that we're expecting and would love for them to travel to see us when it’s close to time for the baby to be born. They said they’d most likely have to stay home to care for their other grandchildren. Their grandchildren who have two parents and other extended family in the area. And, you know, we’ll have just moved 1,000 miles away and know no one. BUT OKAY!
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your dream car? A Buick Enclave. Kind of lame, I know but I feel like it’s the ultimate fancy mom car.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Strawberry, I think?

How are you feeling?: SO MUCH BETTER the last three days! I think I'm finally over the first trimester death hurdle.
Rants/Raves: I did have one, but pregnancy brain entered the picture and it floated away.
Questions: N/A
GTKY; what’s your dream car?: Eh, I don't really care about cars. We're going to buy a used Subaru Outback at some point this year, but that's just practical. We don't do new cars because it's a ridiculous waste of money and resources, in my opinion. Fun fact, we have been a one-car family for 4 years and it's never been an issue!
I'm presently a SAHM and Jeff has been working from home since the pandemic began. Before, I drove the car to work and he either biked to his job or I dropped him off. We're hoping to work at the same university in the future, so we'll still only have one car. Presently, Jeff doesn't ride his bike during the winter because...Minnesota.
@slitzee he won’t ride his bike in the freezing cold and snow? Wimp 😂 but seriously that’s so nice that you’ve been able to make it work. I’m a SAHM as well. This will be my 4th baby. I’m oldest is starting kindergarten in the fall and the only reason I could foresee needing a second car is so that I could pick her up from school if she gets sick because honestly, I can’t see myself wanting to do much with 4 kids under the age of 6 by myself lol
I'm excited about getting back into the adult world. I was supposed to when we moved here last year in April, but that's when the pandemic started and so my career was put on the backburner...again. It's been a rough few years, to say the least.
I think having one car is far easier in practice, rather than imagination. Couldn't your husband leave work to pick up a sick kid from school? That's what sick leave is for
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I think it was raspberry this week? I don't remember.
Upcoming appointments: First one scheduled for the 23rd although I might be switching hospitals so I don't even know what's going on right now.
How are you feeling?: Pretty good
Rants/Raves: I don't understand why the Dunkin Donuts drive thru doesn't show the donuts on the menu or even list them for you. It's supposed to be a donut place, show me the donuts! How am I supposed to know what they have?
@RoseShadow873 LOL we make fun of my best friend who typically is a drive thru nightmare. While we were in the Dunkin's drive thru one time she asked them "what are all of your donuts?" and that poor worker verbally listed all of them
@RoseShadow873 yes! Our local dunkins are drive thru only right now (besides 1 but who really wants to unload 3 small children just to pick up some bribery donuts) and it’s such a hassle to pull up looking to get 3 chocolate frosted with sprinkles donuts only for them to tell you they only have one then have 10 seconds to figure out a plan that’s going to result in the least tears. Just list the available donuts so I can make choices without holding up the whole line on a Saturday morning
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7w5d by LMP but measuring 5 days smaller (but that lines up to when I know I ovulated)
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: blueberry
Upcoming appointments: just had an ultrasound on the 7th everything looked good, have my virtual visit with the nurse next week, and then an OB visit (and another ultrasound) 2 weeks after that
How are you feeling?: better than last week, finally got some of my nausea/hunger under control
Rants/Raves: my fiancé is currently working nights (his schedule changes days/nights every 28 days 🤯) and he has been a complete butt I get your tired but the quicker you help me get the kids ready when you get home the faster I can leave with them
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your dream car? Not really a car person. We are thinking the arrival of number 4 will push us into upgrading to a giant SUV (Tahoe/Expedition/Suburban) and while I would love more space I’m not really looking forward to driving a tank
