Hey friends! I’m Sarah! I’m super excited to be an active part of this group 🥰 I’m due 10/17 based on my last period. This will be baby number 3 for me, but pregnancy number 4. I had a chemical pregnancy in between my two boys. I took a test 4 days before my missed period and it was negative. I took one 2 days before and it was the faintest positive I’ve ever seen! It wouldn’t even show up in a picture. I’m addicted to POAS and my test lines have been getting darker so that makes me happy! I live close to Charlotte, NC. Honestly this doesn’t really feel real to me. We tried for 8 months to get our youngest son. With this pregnancy we didn’t try, but didn’t prevent. I’m praying for a healthy and safe pregnancy for all of us here! ❤️
Wanted to add, one thing I’m not looking forward to in pregnancy is trying to breathe in a mask! It’s already hard enough to breathe when you’re fat in your pregnancy and then to add a mask on top of that is not going to be fun 😂
ETA: I’m a stay at home mom and a cookie decorator! My husband works as a property manager for the family business. I was a part of DEC17 and APR20 but I wasn’t very active. My older sister is pregnant too and she’s due is July. Ive never been pregnant alone and I love it lol
Im not sure of my due date yet, but I know it’s mid-October!
How did I find out? I wasn’t feeling well, nauseous when I was working and had a gut feeling to take a test. I had no inclination otherwise to test because I was on the pill and hadn’t missed any! Well it was positive, not believing the test I went to urgent care to get a blood test done, it come back I’m 3-4 weeks at this point!
About me? I’m a mom to a 10 month old who loves cocomelon, tots and bluey. I work as an accountant and was recently promoted at work and I’m still learning my new position, I am 23 and live in NY.
How am I feeling? I’m feeling overwhelmed, I have my first appointment tomorrow with my ob. As this was unexpected I’m afraid of an ectopic as I was on the pill, otherwise I’ve been nauseous and very energetic!
Good luck ladies praying for all of us to have healthy pregnancies
How did you find out? Pregnancy test this morning at 10dpo, so about 2 seconds pregnant.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am 26, husband turns 27 tomorrow. One daughter, who turns 2 in April. I have 2 dogs, as well. I am a 4th grade teacher. I love to read or listen to books.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) only symptom is cramping right now. I’m honestly still in complete shock. So incredibly happy, as this was our 9th cycle trying. I cried many ugly tears. Cannot wait to get to know you all!
TTC History

TTC #1 | June '18-August '18 | DD | Born April 21, 2019 | Due May 10, 2019
TTC#2 | June '20-February '21 | DS | Due October 27, 2021
Hi. Last time I was on here was back in 2015!! Now I'm back expecting my 3rd in October. Not really sure of the exact due date until my 1st prenatal appointment.
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since May 2020 and we finally got lucky this year. I have very tender boobies hence why I tested.
Not really any symptoms besides tender boobs and craving so much water. Oh and getting really sleepy so early in the evening. No morning sickness as of yet and I hope it stays that way!
Hello friends! I'm so excited to be able to join this group. I'm 28 and live in Boston. My husband and I have been trying for a bit more than 2 years...I'm somewhere between anovulatory & oligo-ovulatory, and we started fertility treatments (ovulation induction) in late fall 2019, and then stopped in march due to COVID. This is our first cycle back with letrozole & ovidrel, and it worked! Honestly in a bit of disbelief, having trouble processing it.
Since we're working with a fertility clinic, it seems that we're doing a bit more monitoring early on. Found out with a VERY FAINT double BFP on Feb 10 (~12 DPO), and have now done 3 HCG blood tests to confirm and watch the levels rise (54 on 13 DPO, 114 on 15 DPO, 328 on 17 DPO).
The 328 reading was just this morning, so we're finally allowing ourselves to feel excited! The doc thought that the 54 first reading was a bit low, so we're going in one more time on Wed to do a 4th HCG reading. Then the dreaded wait until the heartbeat scan.
Feeling a bit nauseous but weirdly also super hungry, very thirsty, and a bit tired. Due 10/20!
Can't wait to get to know all of you. What an incredible journey this is going to be!
Hi ladies! Just going to say there will be a couple TWs in my post (loss and unplanned)
Due date? October 15th
How did you find out? We were with some friends and their dinner they were eating smelled terrible to me to the point of nausea which made me think I should take a test haha
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am 28 years old. My DH and I have been together since 2014 and married since 2016, he is amazing and I can’t imagine life without him! He is a computer engineer for a big company and I am a preschool teacher turned SAHM.
This will probably be a novel so I’ll put it in a spoiler for those who want to read! I see there’s lots of PGAL mamas on here so want to share our story of building our family thus far
We started trying to get pregnant a few months after getting married. Got pregnant fairly quickly early 2017 and just as quickly due to some sharp cramping and early hcg testing discovered something was wrong. I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy that could not be located (should’ve been 7 weeks along and baby couldn’t be found anywhere but my numbers kept rising). So I had a D and C and was given methotrexate by my OB. About a week later we found out that in pathology they discovered the baby had been in my uterus but that it was just a really early failed implantation from what we understood. It was all pretty traumatic for our first experience. Because of the methotrexate we had to wait 6 months to TTC again. We were very sad but just focused on enjoying our time together, took an awesome trip to Europe over the summer, then resumed TTC in the fall. Got pregnant pretty quickly again end of 2017 and lost that baby when I should have been 10 weeks pregnant. The whole time I had been spotting and baby was always measuring behind on ultrasounds and the OB kept us in limbo saying it could go either way. I miscarried naturally and ended up in the ER twice from heavy bleeding and an hour of actual contractions. It was devastating and traumatic. We then decided to see a specialist since we had had 2 back to back losses and my mom had 4 before my brother and I due to a clotting disorder so wanted to get that looked into. We had a ton of testing done. Turns out my husband had a varicosele which really affected his counts and the doctor was shocked we got pregnant naturally at all. I had a small septum in my uterus which they corrected. My clotting panel was somewhat elevated but inconclusive. So we decided to TTC again naturally and see what would happen. Well we didn’t get pregnant trying for half a year. Then, literally in the month approaching the due date of our second baby, we got asked if we would consider adopting a baby through a private adoption who was due right around when our baby should have been. (Adoption was always on our hearts but a lot of agencies don’t want you to TTC at the same time which we weren’t ready to stop yet). We said yes and that precious baby is our now 2 1/2 year old son! He is amazing and we love him so much and we also have an open adoption with his wonderful birth mother and her family who feel like part of our family now! We were not able to finalize his adoption until he was a little over 1 year old. Lots of ups and downs but it all worked out. We took a break on TTC when we brought him home as a newborn, my husband got the procedure done to fix his varicosele and when our son was about 10 months old we TTC again. We did fairly quickly, got to see our baby’s heartbeat at 6.5 weeks at the specialist, but there was an issue with the placenta growing into the gestational sac and the following week our baby had passed. It was so sad. This was august 2019. So we then talked with our doctors again as well as a hematologist and decided my next pregnancy I would take lovenox shots in addition to the baby aspirin since I most likely have a non textbook case of anti phospholipid syndrome. We conceived December 2019 and that sweet baby is our now 5 month old son! My pregnancy was considered high risk but went well all things considered. I did develop cholestasis later on and had to be induced right at 37 weeks but he is a perfectly healthy little guy! And now here we are with a surprise pregnancy! We weren’t trying and planned to wait until youngest DS turned 2 but I also wasn’t on birth control so i can’t say it was a total shock ha. So we are hoping and praying the same plan that worked for our 5 month old will help this baby grow healthy as well. Sorry that was so long but I hope our story can encourage some of you PGAL mamas as I know how hard the journey is! Our babies are all truly miracles they just have each come to us in their own special way
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Nauseous, some puking, so tired, definitely emotional 😂 nervous but hopeful! HCG was good last week, first ultrasound is Wednesday
prayers for all you ladies to have healthy pregnancies and babies and that you can all have joy and peace as you carry your little blessings! I know how hard PGAL is and am happy to encourage any of you how I can from my own journey! I’ll try to participate as I can since my boys keep my pretty busy 😃
How did you find out? I took a zillion negative tests this cycle. I've been on clomid for 3 months and I guess I ovulated late. I took a test on Saturday and thought I had a really bad evap so planned to test again Sunday morning with FMU and sure enough, positive, confirmed with a digital later that day.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): DH and I are both 32 and I'm a manager at a retail pharmacy. TW, This is my second pregnancy, I had twins in 2016. My son is 4 and my daughter was stillborn. It was extremely traumatic and being pregnant now is a new level of terror but I expected to not feel completely safe, especially in the beginning.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I haven't made an appointment yet, I'm in central Texas where we're having our first real winter in 40 years so literally everything is closed. I've had very few symptoms other than sleeping and peeing a lot and sore boots, which is exactly the same as my first pregnancy. I'm excited to be here, but as I mentioned before, totally scared.
@lmno304 I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter! Loss is so hard and traumatic no matter what but I can’t imagine the mixed emotions that must have came with delivering your baby boy alive and your daughter not making it. Prayers for a smooth and healthy pregnancy this time and for peace!
i am 36 yrs old going on to my 4th child🙈 hoping this will be my last❤️. Eldest is almost 15, middle child 12 in march and 3rd child 6 in july. Before all my children i had polycystic ovaries, i was 18 when it was diagnosed. At the age of 19 i was cut open to find that what the M R I scans viewed as my right ovary was just a huge cyst. Long story short with only a left ovary that has also been cut im on to my 4th child...
im a house wife born and raised in NY, been married for almost 18 yrs(in july) and been living in pakistan ever since. My husband serves In the airforce (in pakistan) so thats pretty much it.
I tested early for pregnancy cuz my boobs were feeling sore. I have no cravings so far, my belly growls but when i think of food i just wanna puke. Stomach cramps have been bothering me and I can’t sleep throughout the night which i hate.😩
I’m sure with my second little one around 10/29. I’m 40yo and we’d been trying for around 6mo and weren’t sure it would happen. Lo and behold, I’d been spotting on Valentine’s DayAnd assumed it was my period starting. When it stopped abruptly, I took a test and was surprised to see it was positive!
My partner and I live in Long Island, NY and we have a 3yo daughter. We both work in tech in NYC and are enjoying working from home for the flexibility with parenting.
No real symptoms yet aside from the spotting and some tenderness in my abdomen. Really dreading morning sickness kicking in because it was pretty debilitating last time around. Mentally, I’m really excited and just trying to keep my hopes tempered because I know it’s still really early.
Glad to be here and looking forward to connecting with you all!
@Tugs Welcome! I'm a FTM and also in NY. Do you have any hospital recommendations. I heard good things about Columbia Presby so I have my first appointment there - wondering if have thoughts on this. Thanks!
Hi everyone! My name is Sarah, just turned 35 last month, and I have two beautiful daughters, born June 2014 and April 2017. I took a test two days ago because I started feeling bloated and more exhausted than usual, and sure enough, BFP. Edit to add, according to LMP, DD will be October 26th. This was a huge surprise for me and my husband and although we’re feeling overwhelmed, I’m getting more excited every day we live near Houston and @lmno304, I am also a Pharmacy Manager at a retail store. I love music, singing, reading and taking walks with my girls. Not enjoying the bloating or insomnia at all, but still happy and can’t wait to see what this little one will add to our little family 💜 Praying for sticky and healthy pregnancies for everyone here! Can’t wait to get to know y’all.
@tari_sara I had my first at NYU Langone and had a really great experience.
They’re a “baby friendly” hospital (which means they’re super supportive of breast feeding) but I didn’t feel pressure or anything when my daughter spent her first night in the NICU due to a fever at birth and needed to take formula.
Hey ladies. My name is Abi and I live in Las Vegas/Henderson NV. I have 4 girls(8, 6, 3, & 9.5m) and a step son(11). We found out a couple weeks ago that were expecting #2 together, my edd is 10/8. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage in Nov and a chemical pregnancy in Dec so because of my history I have an early dating scan and appt scheduled for March 8th. Seems like so far away. So far I haven't really had much symptom wise and usually by now I have servere nausea so it's a little worrisome but I'm just trying to not let it get to me. I do have annoying hot flashes though and I am so ready for them to leave 😩 lol. I hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies💗
@lovemygirls- Welcome! Maybe you are having a boy, a lot of people say that when you have a boy you don't have much nausea? I know it's an old wives tale but I know a lot of woman who say that they were totally nauseous with their daughters and did not have any with their sons. I hope this is a healthy pregnancy for you!
October 31 or November 1, but will have scheduled RCS at 39 weeks so October 25 ish.
How did you find out?
I'm a compulsive test taker We were tracking ovulation so I started testing at 7 DPO. First very, very faint positive came at 9 DPO (yesterday) and following tests today have been more clear.
Tell us about yourself. I'm 28, married to my college sweetheart, and have an 18-month-old son. I do community relations/public relations work for several clients in Oklahoma where we live. My husband and I have remodeled a couple of properties and are currently remodeling the house we live in. I love a good wicker/rattan or mid century piece of furniture, houseplants, chickens, traveling, and hanging out with my guys.
How are you feeling? Cautiously optimistic. We had a little bit of trouble getting pregnant with our son and this time conceived on the first cycle after having my IUD removed, so it's a bit sooner than expected, but we are excited. I can't imagine loving something else as much as I love my son and am nervous about sharing my time, but I know everyone says it's different when the second baby is born.
First real appointment is March 16, but my OB's office is supposed to set up a quick appointment for some bloodwork tomorrow or Monday to see if I need to be on Progesterone again this pregnancy.
Hello! I’m 33 years old, from Washington State, and due with baby #4 (hopefully) October 14th-ish...
I’m a full time mom and have three daughters, age 7, 4, and 2...and a husband that works from home as well.
TW:
How did you find out? I had a gut feeling that I was pregnant about 6 days before AF was going to arrive. Took a test 3 days later and got a faint positive. That evening I started having some pretty heavy spotting. The next day had heavier bleeding off and on. Took a pregnancy test that night and it was a for sure, dark positive. I was *sure* I was miscarrying, but the bleeding only was off and on for two days... I felt pretty uneasy either way, so made an appointment for blood work. Went in for two round of blood tests last week and my HCG doubled, but the numbers are on low end of normal. I have a viability scan on Tuesday.
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? I’m super moody, tired, and my chest is a bit sore. I have rogue ovarian pain when I stand up or move too fast- pretty sure I have a cyst...Other than that, I’m feeling extremely anxious. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but also don’t want to live in fear. The only other pregnancy that I had bleeding like this ended in a loss at 11 weeks, so needless to say my mind is constantly racing. It’s exhausting.
Phew! That’s me right now in a nutshell! I’ve used this community with previous pregnancies and throughout nursing and it was a lifesaver! Excited to be back, and hopefully I get to stick around!
Hi there! Not sure how active I will be able to be with work being so crazy right meow.
Due date? Anywhere between October 19th and October 26th (thanks weird periods and late ovulation)
How did you find out? We had been trying so i was peeing on a lot of sticks until one finally confirmed it
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I will be 34 next month, live in Maryland for now, have a 3 yr old daughter, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a husband. I am in accounting and HR for a Heavy Highway Construction company.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Mild symptoms, a little more emotional, a bit more hangry, mild cramping and nausea here and there. And freaking out a lot. We had been trying and I was sooooo happy (still am) but now Im freaking out. 2 kids is going to be sooooo much harder
@tingsmom@lovemygirls- this was definitely the case with my DS. I had zero nausea with him. Fingers crossed you have a healthy pregnancy and maybe a boy on the way ❤️
Hello all, I guess I go here. Looking forward to getting to know this community in the coming months!
Due date: Oct 21st according to LMP calculations, I guess this will be confirmed at my first OB appointment?
How did you find out: We were trying and I felt pretty sure it would be positive so I tested a couple days before my period was due.
Tell us about yourself: I’m almost 36, and this is my first pregnancy. We’ve been married 10 years and live in NC with our two dogs.
How are you feeling: Overwhelmed! I feel like I’m learning a new language every time I try to research something baby related.
I was active on the Knot forums when we were married and I found the community there fun and helpful, so figured it was worth coming over here to try to navigate this becoming a mom thing. Nice to “meet” you all!
@purplegoldpirate I am in a similar boat with a first pregnancy after being married a long time. I also feel overwhelmed. I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself so I don't spend all of the next 8 months stuck in a mental vortex, lol.
October 29 by LMP. Based on ovulation it's really 11/2, but I know my doctor will go by LMP
How did you find out?
We have been trying for a few months and I just had a feeling this cycle was successful. I tested on 8 dpo and low and behold it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My husband and I are in our early 30s, and we live in the freezing cold Midwest. We have 16 month old daughter who keeps us busy. In non-pandemic times I like to travel the world, go hiking, and spend time with friends. Lately though my hobbies include Netflix, sofa-lounging, and dance parties in my kitchen with DD.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm so excited to be here! I was active on TTGP when I was TTC my daughter and then on the BMB for her. I've made some really great friends from those two groups, and I'm looking forward to hopefully finding a similarly supportive group here. ❤
@bcliffee1 @tingsmom thank you for the hope. I am having cravings and some other symptoms so those are bringing me some relief. And I do also get waves of feeling that ick feeling in my stomach, like when you're hungover only without the headache and throwing up. Cravings lots of steak and Mexican food lol. Fingers crossed its my boy, but I will be happy either way. I'm staying team green this time so it will be an amazing surprise if this is my boy🥰💚
How did you find out? My fiancé and I have been trying and i just felt off. Tested and got two pink lines! We were instantly Super excited because we got a good bit of one liners before!
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’ll be 27 this year, my fiancé will be 27 as well, just a little after baby comes! We’re in Ohio, so it’s freezing right now but we’re used to it lol. I have three other children, my oldest son will be 7 at the end of the year, and boy/girl twins turning four!! This is my fiancé’s first bio child but my twins would tell you he’s their daddy.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) i had my first appointment last week, I’m super Nauseous this time around, but there is only one baby from what we can tell for now! Still shocked I’m actually having another baby but so happy.
How did you find out? My period was late so I took a test
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My name is Jamie. I'm from Perkasie, Pennsylvania. My husband and I have been married for 7 years. I do billing for a daycare.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have been lurking around for the past couple of week and finally decided to join in. This is my 3rd pregnancy as I had 2 MCs this past year. I am nervous because of the MCs but I am praying this one sticks. So far I have been feeling all day nausea and bloating.
Hey everyone!! I'm Jenn, and super excited to be here with all of you!! 🙂
Due date?: By the due date calendars estimation, it should be 10/28.
How did you find out?: Taking a test I honestly wasn't planning or wanting to take. I had taken two tests already which were both negative, so I was convinced I was out this month. But my period still hadn't shown up so I told myself it was worth taking another test even though I was SO CERTAIN it was going to be negative. Spoilers: it wasn't negative 😂 and I'm still kind of reeling days later from the shock of a positive test.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'll be turning 30 in September, just before welcoming our little one!! This will be #2 for us, as we already have a beautiful little boy who will be 2 in May. We also have two kitties who drive us crazy, but we love anyway. I work as a Legal Clerk at a Substation for our local Sheriff's Office, and I absolutely love it. I work with the most amazing group of men and women that work so hard to protect us, and it's humbling to me that I get to be a part of that. My husband and I have been together for 11 years, and just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on the 8th. We love beer, video games, puzzles, podcasts, and our little family. 💕
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Emotionally, I'm just incredibly excited. I didn't think this pregnancy would happen so quickly for us, because it took us 10 months, two rounds of Letrozole, and a miscarriage before conceiving our son. I was diagnosed with PCOS last month, so that all makes a lot more sense now looking back. But because of that, I thought we'd be in for another long journey before having #2. But, turns out having a doctor who listens and knows her stuff can work miracles in getting you pregnant REAL fast! All it took was the right combination of supplements to make it happen for us. We're both just so happy and excited. Physically, I'm SO TIRED!!!! And starting to get nauseous after eating, which isn't exactly pleasant.
So happy for all you ladies, and so glad to be here!! 😊
I am 29 years old, STM, due around 10/24. I have PCOS and irregular cycles but wasn’t tracking ovulation as we just started TTC this time around. I had been testing every day for 2 weeks and finally gave up for a few days, then got a BFP on CD40! So my due date is just an estimate but I am hoping for confirmation at my 8 week ultrasound.
I’m married, have an 18 mo daughter and 1 small dog!
Hi everyone! Just had my first ultrasound and saw the little embryonic heartbeat, so I thought I'd join here. Due date? October 15
How did you find out? Took a test after my missed period.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 41, live in Texas, and have a daughter who will be 2 in June. She loves dogs, and my husband and I are resigned to the likelihood that we'll cave and get a pet someday, but not right now!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I haven't experienced too many pregnancy symptoms yet. A few cravings and aversions here and there, but no serious nausea yet. I had an early miscarriage in December, so I'm excited about this pregnancy and hopeful that it sticks!

They’re a “baby friendly” hospital (which means they’re super supportive of breast feeding) but I didn’t feel pressure or anything when my daughter spent her first night in the NICU due to a fever at birth and needed to take formula.
Due date?
I'm 28, married to my college sweetheart, and have an 18-month-old son. I do community relations/public relations work for several clients in Oklahoma where we live. My husband and I have remodeled a couple of properties and are currently remodeling the house we live in. I love a good wicker/rattan or mid century piece of furniture, houseplants, chickens, traveling, and hanging out with my guys.
I’m a full time mom and have three daughters, age 7, 4, and 2...and a husband that works from home as well.
I will be 34 next month, live in Maryland for now, have a 3 yr old daughter, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a husband. I am in accounting and HR for a Heavy Highway Construction company.
I'm so excited to be here! I was active on TTGP when I was TTC my daughter and then on the BMB for her. I've made some really great friends from those two groups, and I'm looking forward to hopefully finding a similarly supportive group here. ❤
Welcome to the new ladies🌻
So happy for all you ladies, and so glad to be here!! 😊
I am 29 years old, STM, due around 10/24. I have PCOS and irregular cycles but wasn’t tracking ovulation as we just started TTC this time around. I had been testing every day for 2 weeks and finally gave up for a few days, then got a BFP on CD40! So my due date is just an estimate but I am hoping for confirmation at my 8 week ultrasound.
I’m married, have an 18 mo daughter and 1 small dog!
Due date? October 15
