@cait32 this is a good thing to remember— I can advocate for myself. I’m in therapy for anxiety- thank god!- and will talk it over with my therapist whether early testing is something I should advocate for in regards to my mental health.
Bummer that you’re not able to take them up on the early testing, yourself!!
How did you find out? I was at work on Friday and my principal stood in the doorway and I caught a big whiff of the dog treat he was holding in his hand. I took a test on Tuesday after I was a few days late.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I will be 35 on Sunday, live in NY. I have 2 DS, Dec 17 and Jun 19. I have 2 shih tzus that will be 8 in March. DH and I have been married since Oct '16.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm overwhelmed with the reality of 3 kids, but very excited to be welcoming our last little one to the family!
@kitandcat@lyndsayem35 Pregnancy after loss can be so hard! I've had four miscarriages and am so paranoid every time I wipe, cramp, move too fast. Ugh I wish we could just enjoy the pregnancies. Prayers for some sticky little babes for us! 💕
How did you find out? We were tracking ovulating and trying. We suffered an 8 week loss the week of Christmas and were anxious to try again.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Im Jordan, I’m 29, married for almost 9 years. We have twin girls that are almost 8 and another daughter that is 5.
We have 3 dogs. Live in IOWA ❤️ I just graduated college and began my job as a Surgical Technologist in our local birth care center.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Feeling cautiously optimistic but excited. We’ve never had a miscarriage before so it was really shocking and terrifying for us to experience. I feel like God can’t play me twice and this one HAS to stick. Plus, what are the odds that my due date is “pregnancy and infant loss Remembrance Day” coincidence? I think not!
First ultrasound isn’t for another month, currently have no symptoms other than a missed period but symptoms never typically start for me until I’m about 6-8 weeks.
Joined my birth month groups for my other kids and have built incredible friendships IRL and cannot wait to see where this group goes!
@Twindling we are EDD twins 💕 sorry to hear of your recent loss, sending you all the healthy vibes. Also I definitely believe in little signs and the Remembrance Day is very interesting and I don’t think coincidental. I was in the April 2018 BMB and still have a strong relationship with those mommas as well. I’m excited to get to know this group more. Welcome momma!
@Twindling Iowan here! 👏🏻👏🏻 And another momma who’s experienced a recent loss. There are so many of us in this group. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thinking positive thoughts for you!

So I guess I go here? I have 3 girls and just took a test early this morning and to my intense shock it was positive. My other three were ivf pregnancies so this was very surprising. Still trying to figure out how I feel about it. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies! Also hi @cait32!
How did you find out? I had a feeling so I took a test.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am 38 (39 at delivery), live in Northern NJ and together my hubby and I have 3 daughters and 2 dogs (Jack Russell's). I have been a SAHM since my oldest was born and pre-covid (and hopefully post), we really enjoy traveling.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) First appointment and ultrasound is on 2/24 when I am 8w1d. I feel great so far. Only complaint is that I am SUPER hungry and bloated. Happy and Healthy 9 mos. to everyone!
Finally! Ladies I have been trying to join the community for two and half days. Unfortunately I have been having some technical issues.
Due Date: 10/11 or 10/12 depending on which calculator you use.
How did I find out? A pregnancy test on the first day of a miss period and again three days later. We have been trying to conceive so I tested, which was exciting and also challenging as I didn't know until 5 weeks last time.
Tell us about yourself. I am 39 in AZ with my hubby, son who will be 2 in March and a border collie named Zane. I work full time from home for now, usually travel a lot more but covid life. Things I like doing: reading, podcast (I love them), puzzles, hiking, rock climbing and spending time with my family.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) At first I was just feeling overwhelmed, we wanted a second but I started to get practical about some of the challenges. I also started getting scared that it was twins, I think because some of my symptoms have been different. Next I read your posts and started getting afraid of loss. Now I am trying to focus on my gratitude for this baby instead of my fear of loss. My first appointment is on 3/9, which seems forever away. Symptoms: Thirst, sore breast sometimes, tired (but my husband would tell you I am always tired) and some nausea yesterday but maybe it was something I ate.
@knottieadf3ba1d38e82620 welcome! can you change your name so that we have an easier way to tag you? You should be able to do it in settings or over on the knot

How did you find out? I was super sick last Thursday and thought I had food poisoning. But we've been TTC for a few months so I figured I'd take a test to rule it out and it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 30, live in NE Ohio with DH, DS 18 mos, and our dog. We enjoy hiking, camping and travelling. I'm a big reader and crafter and work in HR.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Pretty good. Very tired and bloated. Not as sick as I was last Thursday but still having a lot of naseua. Emotionally very excited! First US is 3/11 when I'm 8 weeks.
@heatherdubrow Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried that several times and it did not work. The name is changed on my overall profile but not on the community one. I also tried to change it on the knot which was recommended based on my google searches. I have reached out to customer service.
How did you find out? I was feeling a bit off and realized my period was a day late - I’m never late - so I took a HPT. Then I took about 6 more because I couldn’t believe it
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?).
I’m 38 and we currently live in Northern CA. I’m a SAHM to 5 daughters - 12, 9, 4, 4 and 2. We also have two grumpy cats. I love to hike, snowshoe, paddle board, camp. My husband is in the military, so we move pretty often, but love exploring new places.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?). Still in shock. This baby was a happy surprise. Feeling tired, but other than that not bad. I tend to get pretty sick during 1st trimester so I’m happy to be feeling good so far.
How did I find out: I've been seeing a fertility specialist for PCOS and I was on Letrozole. With Ovulation Medication, timing is everything so I had a set date to take a pregnancy test. We were over joyed when that positive sign showed!
About myself: I am 41 (shoutout to over 40 moms!) and I live in central Florida. I have one 5 year old daughter. My husband is in IT and we've been married for 13 years.
How am I feeling: Some days I feel a bit sick but it goes away quickly. Other than that, just very excited!
Due date 10/2 or 10/4 depending on which app I’m listening to. I have an ultrasound scheduled with my RE on Friday to confirm so I’m assuming they’ll give me a date at that point.
How I found out: Last spring I got a physical because we wanted to start ttc with #2. Found out I had some cardiac stuff going on so we decided to wait to get that resolved first. We had a surprise spontaneous pregnancy over the summer that ended in a miscarriage at 11 weeks at the end of August. (Surprise because we tried for over 2 years to have our daughter and we ended up seeing an RE for help). Went on BC after that to ensure we could get the cardiac stuff resolved. Resolved in December and went off BC just after Christmas. My period was supposed to be starting the next day and it just didn’t feel like it so I took a test just for kicks and it was positive! To say we were surprised is an understatement. Like I said, it took us 2 years and medication to get pregnant with my daughter.
About me: I’m 35. I live in CT with my 2yo daughter and my husband. I am a SAHP for the moment. I planned to only take a year off and then when I was getting ready to start looking for a job again the pandemic happened and it made more sense for me to keep staying home. I was on the January 2019 board for my daughter - I think I remember a couple of you from there.
How I feel: I’m feeling pretty good. Tired, tender boobs, gotta pee all the time. But otherwise good.
Hi there, I'm 30, will be 31 the end of this month from Washington State. I have 3 kiddos already ages 6, 3.5 and 2. Im a stay at home mom while dad is an electrician. I run an online children's boutique and I also enjoy sewing.
I had this odd feeling last weekend, so I tracked my last 3 periods and checked when I should have started. I was 10 days late. Took a test and BAM, I'm pregnant.
I'm honestly really struggling with this news. I thought my son was going to be my last. Complete content and happy with my chaotic household of 3 kiddos. My last was a surprise as well and I cried because my daughter was 9 months old when I found out and I felt awful, and lost my milk supply. Anywho, this time around I just feel nothing. Like I'm numb, I'm also feeling a bit resentful towards SO. Anywho, this is why I dug up my old Bump account from my first pregnancy.
@DHarpster hi momma. I’m sorry to hear you are struggling with this news. I think this can be more common that people talk about. My first was a wooops and we had just talked about not wanting to have kids yet and BOOM a week later I realized I was 8 weeks pregnant. The shock factor can have all kinds of thoughts and feelings. It’s okay to feel what you are feeling. Give yourself some time. Glad you came here we are all a great sounding board of support ❤️
Found out at 5w3days when I took a test randomly as I had been nauseous. Been struggling with fertility for years and had just given up on IVF 🤷♀️ Don’t ask how it happened.
I’m a nurse from Manitoba Canada, DH is a farmer. We have two girls a 9 (😭) year old and a 4 year old. They are my favourite things. We started our own little funny farm last year when Covid hit and have had the most fun with it.
So far feeling ok, except for night shifts. I barf a few times a shift, which is incredible hard to hid from staff. Sigh.
How did you find out? Tested 3 days before my missed period. I used about 5 strips of pregmate tests because I was in disbelief after the first, and then we bought a Clearblue test and it was also positive!
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 33yo, from NY. I work from home most of the time. First time pregnant! Fiance and I have been together for 11 years now. We have a cat that we love so much. We were supposed to get married in September but postponed to April due to COVID. I'm hoping I will fit my dress!!!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) First appointment on March 9. I'm (happily) overwhelmed and in disbelief! We decided to start trying in January, so we started tracking. I also bought plenty of LH tests and pregnancy tests. As soon as those tests came in the mail, I tested positive! We could not believe we would be pregnant after 1 try. Right now, juggling wedding planning and prepping for our baby. We live in a small NY apartment so we're going to have be creative in our use of space.
Gonna dip my toes in, see how it feels. I don't know if I can balance another BMB in my life but we shall see......
Also, I beleive I see some familiar screen names here 🤔
Due date? 10/22
How did you find out? Took a test....or 5. Lmao. This is our 1st treatment cycle with the RE. I'm on progesterone so I needed to test to go off/stay on. I started testing at 9dpo and started seeing lines at 10dpo
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Let's see...... I'm 34, DH is 36. He works at the home office of a hardware chain and I'm office manager of a dealership. We live in MA. We have 2 amazing kids Aug15 and Oct19. I'm hoping O19 will forgive me for her sibling being due the day after her Bday..... Our pets include a lug of a dog, 2 annoying felines, and DS has 2 fish. I have little spare time rn but I am trying to take back into cross stitching at night while we binge watch Agents Of Sheild
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Physically I'm a little tired but that's really it. I'm a bit on edge with a history of loss in the middle of the 2 kids. I was diagnosed with 2ndary IF w/ RPL prior to DD. I have my 1st blood draw bright and early tomorrow and second will be Sunday. Being on progesterone and knowing it was successful last time is helping but PGAL brain never really goes away. I'm hoping to be able to tell my mom some good news next week. We swore up and down we were done but then changed our minds when life took us down a different path then we were expecting.
How did you find out? Missed my period by a few days, started having breast tenderness and slight queasiness. We had a long weekend trip planned, and it seemed irresponsible to ignore the symptoms just so I could drink with my husband. Bought a test, woke up early the next day, and boom. Took the other test in the box that afternoon to make sure.
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 34, married, first timer
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Like I said this is my first time being pregnant, so everything feels kind of unreal. Symptoms are minor and intermittent, mostly bloating and tiredness. The worst thing so far is low abdominal pain, not quite like a cramp but kinda sorta, coupled with increased discharge that has me worrying that it's already over multiple times an hour. Hope my preliminary visit with my primary care doc tomorrow can clear up some fears and make things feel more concrete.
Hi @prpl11butterfly! I think we might've both been in Sept'18 BMB for a brief minute? There are unfortunately a lot of us PGAL here this month. FX for a healthy sticky baby, born *not* on your DD's birthday.
@prpl11butterfly I haven't stalked your post history yet, but your handle is familiar to me...I was on TTGP in summer/fall 2016 and then a July17 BMB and a Jan19 BMB...but if you were on TTGP, I probably know you from there even though I was just lurking from my BMB. I have a special place in my heart for folks in TTGP since that's where I started (feels like a looong time ago).

How did you find out? Took a pregnancy test last night. Well, 5 of them! We were not trying and I went off birth control for two months to see if my migraines would improve. Soooo not expected. But welcome!
Tell us about yourself (age, location, Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m 33. My husband and I have been together for 15 years, married for almost 6. We have a 4 year old son who is our world!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) no symptoms except no period.
Edit to add- I was on this app a lot with my son, active in the TTC and August 2016 moms board.
@prpl11butterfly Heyyyy!!! Long time, no "see" Congrats on your latest BFP!
I debated whether or not to start posting here but couldn't stay away any longer.
This is a shocker of a pregnancy for us, and I'm not sure that it will stick. I'm 43, we have five kids, and our last baby (14 months old) took three rounds of IVF and four losses. The last things we expected was to get pregnant naturally. Due date is October 9, but I always go early.
After a day of shock/denial, I am tentatively excited to add another baby to our crazy household, but also trying not to get my hopes up. I will have a viability u/s at 8 weeks, and will do the NIPT testing at 9 weeks.
TW We lost a baby at 16 weeks due to T-18, so my anxiety is running pretty high right now. I know the stats aren't in my favour but I'm trying to stay positive.
I am a 44 year old mom to 3.5yr old twin boys and I just did a frozen embryo transfer and got a HPT BFP yesterday. I am soooo excited to make my family bigger, though I do with my children were a little closer in age. I am happy to be a part of this group and happy to chat or swap advice!
