R/R: Getting my first warning yesterday feels like a rite of passage 😂 but seriously the reason for it was just plain silly! Anyways, so happy it’s the weekend. Unfortunately the whole leaving work at work move did not go well for me this week so I need to get some work in today. At least I’ll have college basketball to keep me company all day. Otherwise wind chill is going to make it feel like it’s 0 this weekend so I’ll be staying indoors!
CS/Q: I ended up getting the CB advanced ovulation predictor for this cycle bc my OB had told me it was the only thing that worked for her daughter and why not. But no smileys of any kind yet! So I’ll just sit here and keep waiting for my fw to open up...

@demimondaine Bummer about the Christmas tree. I was sad when we took ours down. But I guess at last 3rd of January is a reasonable time to put it away. What does "family time" look like for you? Also, check out IF thread in a bit for a Bernie meme.

R/R: rant is that yesterday was the last day to submit all of our peer reviews. I received 15 requests for peer feedback! 15! I haven't been at the company even 1 year (will be a year on 2/18). Anyway, I had to reject 4, and even though guidelines say that for someone at my level, we only had to do 5-7, I had a bunch of ppl (from other teams) explicitly ask me for feedback and didn't want to turn them away; plus, I also wanted to give feedback to anyone that's directly on my team. So, I ended up doing 11 of them. The ranty part of the rant is that one of those feedback requests came in at 7:15pm last night (deadline), and it was from someone to whom I promised. So I was on my computer until 9pm doing this stuff. Argh. So glad it's done now... I can go back to doing my regular job.
Rave - it's a beautiful day in SF; got up to about 52 degrees. But, that's it for nice weather for us... it's supposed to rain start tomorrow and ending never.

@sienna221 isn’t March madness so much fun? It was the first thing I was so bummed about being cancelled last year (little did I know...). I think they stopped in the middle of one of the games in the round of 64 if I remember correctly. My undergrad did not have a football team, only basketball, which is the only reason I got into college basketball. Oh opks, I hate doing them and I have to wait forever with my longer cycle. You’ve still got time to get figure it out!
@demimondaine taking down the Christmas tree is a bit sad, isn’t it? Though I’m strange, starting the day after Christmas usually I can’t look at it or any of the Christmas stuff anymore and just want to put it al away. DH always has to convince me to keep it up a bit longer.

@fameonmain2 fingers crossed for smilies soon! And my first undergrad didn't have football either, and the bookstore sold shirts that said undefeated in football since [year incorporated], which I always got a laugh from.
@sienna221 how long is your cycle usually? I know the package for mine says to start around CD10. I just have done every few days with an eye to CM because I started at CD10 last cycle and didn't get any kind of darkening until about CD 26 lol, so I'm trying not to waste the strips.
@demimondaine it's stupid cold here too lol, we took most of the Christmas outdoor stuff down a week or two ago, but have been waiting for warmer temps to spend the time needed to take down all the lights.

R/R: ended up being pretty busy this weekend between work and stuff around the house. I tried making lemon butter white wine chicken for dinner and it was amazing, I was so excited it came out well. Tomorrow's my last day off before the semester starts, planning to get a bunch of stuff done around the house.
CS/Q: Just ordered a new thermometer because it feels like mine's starting to favor temps. It's like 3 years old by now so I'm not terribly surprised but still annoying. I'll probably use both thermometers once I get it to see how they compare and if I will be okay to switch mid-cycle.
