Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding our! Should know any day now!!!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Rubik’s cube
Upcoming appointments: Nov 16th anatomy scan, and Ob visit
How are you feeling?: Grumpy as hell. Tired. Excited!
Rants/Raves: I can feel the baby love everyday now! I feel so fat already 😑
Questions:
GTKY: What are you reading right now? Separated , it’s about the children being separated from their parents at the border. I want and need to know. But it is hard, I can only read a few pages at a time or I get too upset. Especially knowing that there are 545 children that the current administration has no idea where their parents are. So they’ve orphaned 545 children.
@yellingbanana ugh that's a heavy read. It's so devastating for those families, I can't even think about it without getting emotional. I just think of my kids alone without me😭 And me without them. How will our country ever fix this horrifying mistake.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a naval orange 🍊
Upcoming appointments: U/S later today! Both anxious and excited.
How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Nausea is mostly gone, but have been dealing with heartburn, congestion, and headaches. Feeling like this u/s is the last big hurdle I need to get over before I can finally exhale and relax.
Rants/Raves: none at the moment!
Questions: for STMs/STM+s, what is your registry tool or store(s) of choice? Already starting to feel overwhelmed thinking about this 😂
GTKY: What are you reading right now? I have a book called "The Vine Witch" by Luanne G. Smith waiting in my kindle queue. I'm excited to start reading it - it got really good reviews! I needed something lighter and more whimsical because I just finished reading "If You Tell," which is a true account story from her daughters about the tortures/murders carried out by Michelle Knotek, and let me tell you, that was some heavy sh*t!
@ruby0902 Back in the day, it was Babies R Us! Obviously that isn’t going to work anymore. Last time I did that and Amazon. I’ll be registering at Amazon and Target even though I’m not having a baby shower and not asking for presents. You get a discount on your items that you purchase close to your due date at Amazon (not sure about Target). Also, once you register, they throw your name into some ‘having a baby’ mailing list and you get a bunch of freebies sent to your house.
I don’t belong in this thread, but I think I’m gonna be using Babylist. Two friends have used it lately and I really liked ordering from it. Can add gifts/import registries from anywhere, I think. Kind of like The Knot does for wedding registries.
I have ordered from babylist twice, and each time it ends up rerouting me to the wrong store for an item even though I clicked a specific store. Also, I was ordering about 8 smaller items, like a basket, of gifts for a friend, and it took so long. I like the idea of babylist, but it drives me nuts ordering from it. And I’m totally willing to admit that it could be just me 😉
