@ccmrc143 I cried when I found out that we were having our third boy. I was crying because I was upset with myself for being disappointed that he was a boy, but still there were real tears. I'm a little nervous to find out this time because I'm worried I'm going to react the same way, but we're still going to find out. I think the time to process it helped, also I got excited by starting to pick out names, and plan everything for when he would show up.
It’s a girl! I am in shock, I sincerely thought it was a boy! But one more for team pink!
I’ve never had so many mixed emotions about finding out our baby’s gender! We already have one boy and two girls, and I would have been ecstatic either way. For my husband, I was hoping for another boy. For my son, I was hoping for another boy so they can be buddies, and also to have an even 2 boys and 2 girls. But on the inside, my eldest daughter and I were hoping for a girl. So I feel a little selfish and guilty when I know I shouldn’t. Can’t wait to get some awesome girl clothes! (Since I gave away 99% of our baby clothes because I thought we were done!)
It's a BOY!!! I am so surprised I was wrong and felt girl vibes. I was right with both my other kids. That's alright though the Chromosomes all came back normal and that was the most important thing is a healthy baby!
@ccmrc143 When we found out that our third was a girl, we were definitely disappointed, she was going to be our last baby, and we really wanted a boy. I think that having the time to process and get used to it helped a lot. Now we have our surprise 4th baby, and we are waiting to find out the sex (sometime this week) and i cant lie, if its another girl there will be some disappointment, our girls are awesome and i wouldn't trade them for the world but would love to have a little boy.
We found out this week it's a girl. Immediate tears of happiness! I hate to admit that I wanted a girl so bad (it's our first). I never had a sister growing up, which bummed me out a bit and made me look forward to having a daughter one day. I hope the NIPT results are accurate. We had the test at 11 weeks. Ahhh!!
I got my NIPT results back and we are having a BOY. I have a 4yo daughter who said she wanted a brother, and I kinda wanted a boy since I am also the big sis of little brothers, but I didn't care that much. (With my daughter, I wanted a girl SO BAD. In my case I didn't want to wait because I wanted time to grieve if it was a boy.) My husband kinda wanted a girl because he thought it would be easier (already have the clothes, could have them share a room longer, etc.) But we are working on our excitement (and let the name arguments commence).
Having a boy would definitely make room logistics easier at my house. We have a tiny house, 3 bedrooms and no plan on moving anytime soon. If we have a girl, eventually she'll have to move into her aunts room and I don't fancy telling a teenager that they have to share a room with a toddler.

@gusgus14 I'm sorry you're not getting what you had hoped for, but I'm excited you finally know. Those little nuggets are going to be the very bestest friends.
@gusgus14 twin boys! So exciting! But I’m sorry it’s not what you had hoped. I was very close with twin boys growing up, and they just had the coolest life—built in best friends with shared interests. Always someone to kick around a ball with!
Thanks, everyone! I'm not super bummed out about it and we just picked out our second boy name which is helping add excitement but for some reason we've just always pictured our first having a little sister so it took a minute to process.
@gusgus14 yay for twin boys!! I know what you mean about it taking time to process but happy that you are excited! Choosing names does definitely help.
We found out today, it’s a boy. We would have been happy either way but we are both ELATED that it’s a boy. We have a 7 y/o boy a 6 y/o girl and 3 y/o girl. My son is the only boy out of 12 cousins. When we told him it’s a boy he said “I’m going to have a brother? I never ever thought I would ever get a brother” and he cried happy tears. My husband has to leave the room he was crying so hard. It was a very sweet moment and I’m so happy for my boys 💙💙
@lilnessi did you guys find out? I came from a family of all girls, and DH came from a family of all boys. Our parents were dying to have one of the opposite gender!
Also, I’m the 3rd daughter in my fam, and begged my mom to have another kid! She didn’t, but I always wondered if she did would it be another girl or would my dad get the boy he so desperately wanted?
@yellingbanana we still have not found out yet..they called and said they didnt take enough blood (wtf..) so i had to go back last Friday to get it done again..so still waiting..i hope its a boy but i come from all girls (im one of 5) and my husband only has a sister, ..so part of me feels destined to have all girls. This pregnancy has been way different than my others so im hoping its a boy but that could just be wishful thinking.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! A good friend of mine surprised me and booked an appointment at an elective ultrasound place for us last Friday! We got glaring confirmation that we are, in fact, having a boy! I also decided I was unsure of the name we had picked out (Jonah), so we decided this little guy is going to be named Eli! I'm just so flipping happy!

My husband is being a selfish toot actually. We have enough room if he would give up some of his.
