Sneak Peek says boy for us! There is a small chance of male DNA contamination (I have a husband, two sons, and a male dog ) BUT, I went to my mom's house where there is nary a man, so hopefully this is the real deal!
We're not finding out until the anatomy scan. I'm so jealous of you ladies who find out early. It's the only reason I've ever contemplated genetic testing.
We're having a girl!! My husband is still processing, he was hoping for a boy. He will be a great dad though and that girl is going to have him wrapped around her little finger 😂
I am team green, but my husband really wants to find out. So we flipped a coin to see if we were going to find out or not. Heads we find out, tails we don't. It was heads... Not just once but 5 times in a row. 😂 So it looks like we'll be finding out. We're not going to do early testing, so I imagine it will be somewhere between 16-20 weeks when we find out. Although, I am tempted to get a sneak peek test, but it's likely the results could be contaminated with all the men/boys in this house.

I did the Sneak Peek clinical and the results said boy. My daughter was praying so hard for a sister, that it was absolutely heartbreaking to tell her the news. Even my husband, who previously really really wanted a son, said it took him a few days to not feel a little disappointed. Of course, we're thrilled to have a healthy baby at all, we're just also carrying the hurt of our big girl. It's complicated, I guess! But here we go, team blue!
@audmomout I had mixed emotions too when we found out this baby is a girl. I know DS would love a brother and we have all the boy stuff so it would just be easier, but I'm so excited for a little girl too. Boys are so fun though, you guys are going to love having a boy!
We just found out yesterday that we're having a boy! We were pretty sure it would be a boy so we weren't all that surprised but it's still so weird to think about because we've only had girls so far!
@yellingbanana I first opened this thread on my phone, and wasn't paying to much attention to the name of thread name. All I saw was the very top of the ultrasound, and my first thought was oh, no texas_t seemed so cool, how is she one of those people who askes internet strangers to guess gender based on a 12 week ultrasound.
I am team green for life. It was one of the most fun things I experienced with my son and I really think it helped my husband feel more connected to the pregnancy because it was an unknown to both of us. We’d talk about it all the time, he thought our son was a girl until after I gave birth, he screamed when he saw the penis 😂 that memory is forever etched into my brain.
OMG. Y'ALL. My OB said that the office would call to tell me the gender and that it wouldn't be in the patient portal. Well, it turns out that the gender has been sitting there in my NIPT results from last week this whole time! I just called to confirm 'cause I couldn't believe my eyes.
IT'S A BOY!!
I had a feeling it would be, since the past 3 generations of women in my fam have all had boys first. I was kinda hoping for a girl so I could never have to go through first tri' again but I am thrilled that I might get to have one of each now, and might have that big brother/little sis dynamic that I have always dreamed of. Wow. A lot to take in!!
Well...I’m in complete shock. I felt sure this pregnancy felt different and I had a little girl. We will be completing our family with a third boy! I know this will be fun but I’m still processing it a bit. I would be lying if I didn’t tell you a shed a few tears. I do love my boys and they are so fun though. ❤️
Just got my NIPT results back but we’re clicking the “find out the sex” button Sat morning. I can’t believe we will know! We waited until birth with my daughter so this is just so wild for me! 😂
I'm not going to officially cast my vote as it's so early, but today at my NT scan (measuring 12w4d), it looked like it was a boy, even to our untrained eye, and baby made sure we took a look a few times 😅💙 we'll get the confirmation at the anatomy scan, but we had the same technician last time and she got it right!
@mimser that’s so exciting!! I feel like I saw some boy pieces at my last ultrasound, but I could be wrong. I get gender results on Monday, they said between 7-10 days, but apparently 12 days is what I get.
I love seeing all your gender announcements!! As of now, we’re team green! But I have a question for you all. Part of the reason I want it to be a surprise is that I know I’ll be a little sad if it’s a boy I want a girl so badly. I wish this was not the case, as of course I just want a healthy baby, but it’s the truth. So my thought is if we wait till birth, and it’s a boy, I will be so incredibly happy in that moment to have my baby that I still be less sad about not having a girl. And I’ll be too focused on baby to think about the disappointment. Did anyone else wait for the surprise while knowing you might be upset one way or the other? @samd6 maybe you were hoping for one over the other with your son? For those who had some disappointment finding out gender ahead of time, do you think having time to process is valuable or do you wish you’d waited till birth to find out?
(Also sorry if this should be in another thread! I wasn’t sure.)
@ccmrc143 I think it’s easier to know ahead to plan the room and clothes. I was at the store the other day and saw some adorable baby clothes, both boys and girl ones. But I couldn’t get any because I don’t know yet. They didn’t have any gender neutral clothes either. Plus you can prepare yourself emotionally! But it is true that either way, when your baby is born, the love is like no other (no offense DH!).
@ec1212 😂😂 I’m relieved in so many ways today 👏🏻👏🏻
ITS A GIRL!
I had a dream it was a boy several weeks ago. This morning I clicked the Sex button, had only my husband look at it, and watched his face while he read it. From his face I thought it was a girl! He went out and got some pink donuts, came home and opened the box for my daughter, and she told me they were pink! 💗
Honored to be raising 2 little girls who will grow up knowing a woman belongs in the White House!

@ckmb_1250 and @Lady Leigh can't wait to hear!!
The only thing can keep me not wondering about my babies gender, is being excited about hearing everyone else's.
