    πŸ¦₯ How are you feeling?: Meh. I have good stretches and stretches where I'm on the couch unable to move.

    🌘 GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Neither! I have never been an early bird. I used to be a night owl but not anymore. Pre-pregnancy I was in bed by 9 and these days it's more like 8:30 and if I could, I'd sleep until 9 every day.

    πŸ¦₯ How are you feeling?: Ok and feeling a little more hopeful about rest of first tri! (see below)
    🐿 Rants/Raves: Rave for iced coffee. I had one for the first time since before we started trying yesterday and it changed my life. I have felt beyond extreme exhaustion for the past 3 weeks to the point where I was spending most of my time on the couch or in bed and napping didn't help, 10 hours of sleep didn't help. I couldn't concentrate or interact with my husband or get anything done at work. I was getting depressed and it got to the point where I wanted to ask my OB about it tomorrow. I was avoiding coffee mainly because I was afraid it would upset my stomach (not because of the caffeine anymore - I was having some caffeine in matcha and my doc said some is ok). I asked hubby to grab me an iced coffee yesterday and within 10 minutes I felt like my old self. It was truly wonderful so I got some cold brew with my groceries and am hoping it's just what I need to make it to second tri.
    πŸ’¬ Questions: Hearing about any experiences like the above would be helpful. I felt really lonely in how exhausted I was because in normal times, it sounds like most women can go to work and care for their families and I truly felt like I couldnt do that, even just working from home at a desk job.
    🌘 GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? I was a night owl that wished she was an early bird before pregnancy, but last year I started prioritizing sleep and was good about getting into bed between 10-11pm and up early enough to head to yoga almost every day.

    πŸ¦₯ How are you feeling?:Β Still tired but not quite as queasy.Β  Last two pregnancies I started feeling less nauseated around 9 weeks.Β 
    🐿 Rants/Raves: Doc called Saturday and told me my progesterone was low and put me on supplements.  Of course I googled it and it got me a bit nervous. My previous OB I don't think even checked my progesterone at my 8 week appt, so hopefully it's a non-issue.

  • @ec1212 My first successful pregnancy, I was so so exhausted I felt like I couldn't do anything.Β  I was still exhausted with my last pregnancy and now my current pregnancy.Β  I DON'T have energy to take care of my kids, but they demand it, so I think you get some some super human strength to what you literallyΒ HAVE to do.Β  That being said, they get less baths, we watch more tv, and eat a lot more take out.Β  This, too, shall pass.Β  Be kind to yourself.Β  Also, I HAVE to have caffeine or I fall asleep at the drop of a hat, lol! I'm glad the coffee made you feel better! I actually felt like I could stomach a coffee this morning and got one and I'm feeling pretty zippy!

  • @texas_t I'm so jealous you're finding out already! I looked into doing the sneak peak but with twins it's kind of a crap shoot so I'll just suck it up for 5 more weeks and then pay for an early scan like I did last time.Β 
  • @texas_t also jealous of you finding out the sex today!! And thanks for sharing re: exhaustion. I was really feeling like it doesn't sound like anyone else here has basically been bedridden and totally non-functional and I was starting to feel like something was actually wrong. Today I am just normal tired and it's been amazing to get through a full big day at work and not feel like I had to pass out.

    @texas_t OH! Meant to ask how it was having your bump friend and her kiddo over to your place over the weekend?? I had a couple girlfriends over last week and it made me miss having get-togethers so much (and I got to tell them I was expecting, which I'm really happy I got to do in-person).
  • @ec1212 It was fun! The boys played REALLY well together. We went to the zoo on Saturday and the park on Sunday and that was about the extent. We laid around a lot because I was tired (see! I was too exhausted to do anything too fun!).Β  We ate a lot of good food, too! Ha!Β  Β Oh yeah, that was Thursday night, right? I'm assuming they're all thrilled for you!

  • @ec1212 exhaustion is also my main issue & it was worse my last pregnancy because I was avoiding caffeine too. Right now I need at least 9-10 hours of sleep at night or else I’m so tired I feel physically ill. My eyes start burning around 1pm everyday and it continues the rest of the day. I literally feel like a sloth! As if I’ve gone 24 hrs without sleep. I find that when I do get enough sleep it makes a huge difference, but 7-8 hours doesn’t cut it.

    @texas_t you can really go down a rabbit hole with progesterone research & there seem to be a lot of differing opinions about it. Luckily within the next few weeks the placenta should be up and running! Until then I’m on the supplementation train with you.

    I asked this is a few days ago in the Questions thread, so kind of duplicating here- but my doc told me to take 500mg of DHA a day. My Ritual Prenatals only have 350mg total between the two pills per day. I googled and it says most pregnant women are suggested to take around 300mg per day. Has anyone else been suggested a higher daily intake of DHA?Β I then ordered Thorne Omega Plus to get the extra and then saw it says β€œif pregnant, consult doctor before taking” πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ Oops. Not sure if that’s any DHA or just the Thorne brand.Β

  • @sienna221 evverything says to consult a doctor if pregnant, maybe just run them by your Dr! I just noticed my prenatal doesn’t have any DHA, so I’m going to go over it with my midwife at the next visit πŸ™‚

    πŸ¦₯ How are you feeling?: I’ve had some sinus stuff this weekend/week that has kept me down but still with the nausea and exhaustion. Thinking I might ask my doc for something for the nausea (then I could sleep better, you know if I didn’t feel like vomiting every time I go to bed...)
    🐿 Rants/Raves: Rave = my husband is a rockstar and is the primary parent to our son + works outside the home and he kept little E all day Saturday so I could sleep all dang day since I wasn’t feeling well PLUS did a Costco run. He’s amazing.Β
