November 2020 Moms

What's left on your to do lists?

The crib we ordered just came in, so we have to assemble that.
I also just ordered my breast pump, woo!

Baby Maddles (yes, that's like paddles with a "M") has an abundance of clothes, a carseat, a crib, a pack 'n' play, and a bouncy chair.
I should probably start buying diapers and wipes. We also need some bottles, and swaddle blankets.

The goal has been to keep her stuff to a minimal, which is what I'm doing - but I feel like she doesn't have anything at all.

Re: What's left on your to do lists?

  • I need to pick up a bedside bassinet I'm borrowing from a friend but other than that I'm not sure what else we *need*. Im trying to be minimalist because I don't want our apartment overflowing with baby stuff. I think of things that would be useful to have and then waffle back and forth on if it's needed or just wanted😆 I think at this point I'll order/buy stuff as needed once baby comes. I love being prepared but I guess I'll fly by the seat of my pants with this baby and get to be more prepared if I have another😅

  • I have been given a ton of clothes, still trying to sort through all of them. Her bedroom still needs to be painted, the tile laid, crib assembled, car seat installed, bottles, a pump, crib sheets to be bought. So yeah, totally unprepared and she's due first week of November. 🤦🤦🤦And exhaustion has set in
  • Dear lord, our to do list is never-ending. The "nursery" is still a playroom for our older girls and we can't make any progress on that until it gets painted. SO I'm trying to focus on things I can control. This week's to do's include:
    Setting up the cosleeper
    Installing the infant car seat
Making maternity leave plans for my sub
Finalizing DD1's birthday stuff (she turns 6 on 11/11)
    CLEAN

Majority of the larger items are up (crib, bassinet, travel system, changing table, glider & ottoman). I plan to put together the pack n play within the next week or two. I started washing some of her clothes and will be washing the remaining, along with her bedding/blankets, over the next week or two as well.

We are waiting on the monitor to arrive so we can set it up and test it out be she's here. We're getting so, so close ladies!  :)

When you said there's never-ending in your To-do list then we are the same. There's nothing we can do about it, dealing with it is the only choice but it is for the sake of our babies so it's okay.
