Good morning all and happy weekend!

Month/Cycle: 8/8

CD/DPO: 24/12

Timing: -1, +1 (insemination)

Typical LP length: on progesterone so however long I want

Testing: BFNs today and earlier this week at 10DPO

R/R: yesterday MH asked me “on a scale of 1 to 10, how pregnant are you feeling” and I told him 2. This morning, even before taking HPT, that answer would have been a 0. 🤷‍♀️ All physiological symptoms I’ve been having this week went away yesterday: no more sore boobs, RHR dropped and massive tempt drop this morning. I mean, I had been mentally preparing myself for this since the IUI given what we were working with. But admittedly it still sucks a$$. 

Anywho, we have a follow up conversation with RE on Tuesday and until then, I need to come up with questions to cover about next steps.

@acleverusername Good morning sunshine! 🌞 I’m sorry for the bfns. It sucks even when you have mentally prepared for it. Especially when the symptoms were there before! I hope you’re able to create a good list of questions for your RE so you feel super informed about next steps. P.S. I *think* at one time (when I first joined) the dailies had GTKYs, then maybe it was just weekends, then none at all. I started adding them back into the weekend dailies several months ago for the fun of it. There is a General GTKY thread for this weekend.😉

Typical LP length: 10-13

Testing: Betas scheduled for late next week. Ugh, the wait....

R/R: I fell asleep SUPER early last night so now I’m up early feeling rested & ready! About to do our finance/budgeting/bank stuff and then plan what projects we are tackling around the house this weekend. Have to squeeze in some work too but that will be easy

@acleverusername sorry for the continued BFNs. Do you think you'll try another IUI?

@keikilove since you transferred a day 3 embryo I think today is considered "7dpo"? Idk lol it's just easier doing the days post 3 or 5 day transfer

R/R: visiting my friend finally today! Haven't seen her in so long and she's been my awesome support for the last 2 years. *TW LO* and meet her rainbow boy. He's so cute. Always sleeping 😆 *end TW*. DH has plans to do a number of things around the house so woot.

CS/Q: omFg. It was 39 when I woke up this morning and we had the window cracked but I didn't feel cold at all when I woke up. This chart just took a hard left to crazy town. I really want to know what tomorrow will look like

@inthewoods23 WOW, that dip is something else! FX it was the window being open ( or implantation?)! I creeped on yesterday’s TWW earlier this morning & saw your chart: wowza, that temp climb has been pretty! I sent up a fervent prayer that this is your month💓 Have so much fun seeing your friend! That sounds great. 

Thanks for the tip on post ovulation. I’m now like “Duh! I’ve seen people write things like ‘4dp3dt’—I guess I just never imagined myself being at this point, so never paid close attention. It’s exciting to realize I get to write that now!😁 Thanks!

@keikilove I've often had a small dip around now so maybe this IS a true implantation dip and not fake 😂 who knows!

@keikilove getting a good night's rest is so important! I hope more of that for you in the next 10 days while you wait for your beta. I hope you have a relaxing weekend even with all that paperwork. Thanks for the insight re: weekend GTKY. I'm hyper aware of it since I started the weekend threads last weekend and didn't change the GTKY from the previous weekend and was mortified! I think daily GTYK can be a bit overwhelming but a weekly one is just right. 

@inthewoods23 my reaction to that dip: 

I really hope it was the open window and that it rebounds tomorrow. It's so weird how bbt is affected by external factors that we ourselves don't feel. I'm glad you had a lovely visit with your friends; she sounds like a pivotal aspect of your support system. As for us, I'll post more on this in IF, but in summary, I think doing another IUI right now would be a waste of money; we need to figure out what's happening on MH's side. The good news is that with this IUI, we figured out that I respond really well to Clomid.

R/R: I’m super bummed about this BFN. I’m going to do my regular routine of staying on progesterone and testing again in a couple days, but I’m just feeling down about it today. So DH and I went shopping for some new fall decor! And I made myself some comfort food pasta for lunch to take my mind off of it.

CS/Q: I have a feeling this is just going to keep trending downwards...

@runningoncookies I am so sorry for your BFN; I believe you start all your testing next cycle right? In my case, I was really hopeful in our last cycle before all the testing, and I think it hit me very hard when AF arrived unexpectedly (even before I started to test). So, I know the feeling and it's still pretty fresh in my mind. It sounds like you're doing everything right to make yourself feel good; I recommend really leaning into it. *Hugs*

@inthewoods23 39?! I'm not sure to respond with that sounds amazing or that I'm not ready for winter (Florida 90s over here!). Definitly sounds like an open window to be cause for a dip.

@runningoncookies ugh, sorry you got a BFN when you tested. Do you think it was too early if your LP length has not yet been met? Fall decor and comfort pasta is always in order as a distraction. What kind of pasta did you make? FX you see some changes in the next few days.

R/R: I'm working this weekend and it was quite entertaining. We have been doing phone interviews for all our part-time seasonal help...and the candidates we are getting are so special. We will never meet our hiring goal with the ones we are coming across. The office furniture we had delivered yesterday - only half the order came! The bookcase and the hutch for above the desk. No call prior that the actual desk and filing cabinet are on delayed shipping. I went all ragey on twitter and got them to call me and got at least the shipping charges credited back, so I feel like that is kind of a win.

@And846 Good Sunday Morning. Your interviews for seasonal employees sounds like a very taxing process. I hope you find some good folk. As to your question, I presume you’re using Fertility Friend? If your temps are rocky around O, it’s pretty normal for CHs to move. Share your chart and we’ll gladly all weigh in on when your O might have been.

@And846 I always tell myself it was just too early when I get a BFN, but idk. Before I started taking progesterone my LP was usually between 10-12 days, so I feel like 11dpo maybe should’ve been enough to get a positive test. I’ll still try again tomorrow but at this point I’ve started to mentally move forward to next cycle haha! Also comfort food pasta for me = any short pasta with just butter, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper. It almost makes a creamy sauce that is just so good. It’s been my go-to comfort food since I was a kid, and one of the first things I learned how to cook! Re your chart: my CHs have moved before, and there have also been times where I disagree with where FF put my CHs!

@runningoncookies AFAIK, implantation and length of LP are two different things. I.e. implantation still generally occurs on days 6-10 (normal distribution), regardless of your LP length. (i.e. implantation wouldn't happen earlier just because you naturally have a shorter luteal phase.) At least that's how it was explained to me by someone who is much smarter than I.
