R/R: I have an online interview this morning to be a mentor for a new teacher next year. I figured with my whole department being new hires next school year, it's time to step up into a leadership role. I'm feeling pretty confident it'll go well but I'm sure anxiety will find it's way here shortly.

R/R: I’m annoyed DH and I didn’t end up dtd last night. So timing this month has been pretty awful overall. The pressure of having to do the sex on specific days is difficult for us for some reason. It’s like a weird tension which doesn’t help get in the mood if you know what I mean! Ugh. Hopefully we make it happen tonight so this month wasn’t a complete crapshoot. Moving over to TWW tomorrow.

WAYDTGKU: vitamins, OPK/Mira 

R/R: Well, it’s cycle day 23 and I still have absolutely no indication of O anytime soon. Last cycle I think it happened Day 25 but I at least had faint positive OPKs before that, whereas this time it’s nothing. Feeling super frustrated w my body- normal people have an entire cycle while I’m still sitting here WTO! Saw my gyn on Saturday and she looked at my charting and said I’m probably not ovulating every cycle, if at all. We’re going to give it another couple cycles (so like 3 months) and then do an HSG for me, semen analysis for MH, and try letrozole 
to stimulate ovulation if those both come back normal. Also our air conditioning broke last night, so didn’t sleep so well....not helpful for the morale. But on the bright side we are still healthy and looking forward to seeing some family outdoors this weekend. 

@jenotontx Agreed that it can feel weird to have to have sex on specific days! Hope you guys are able to get in the mood tonight.

@gingermama29 New roles are always stressful but I’m sure you’ll do great!!

@jenotontx are you trying EOD or the SMEP method? or just being spontaneous right now?

@priyadoc I'm surprised they wouldn't check first that you're ovulating since that's the first part of the process. I guess in the grand scheme it doesn't really matter what you look at first. My OB did 2 months of progesterone checks to determine ovulation then did the HSG.

R/R: It's Tuesday! Things just keep stacking up at work. One process we have is to "complete 3 a day" but late last week I had like 5 batched to me and another came in this morning so I'm like great, I'm drowning. Meanwhile my coworker seems to just sit around and not answer things right away. He doesn't do this work that I'm doing.

CS/Q: nothing exciting yet.

Interview went really well. I prepped a little bit for it but mostly went for spontaneity. I know from teaching interviews that I interview well and it was a pretty informal one, so I'm confident about it. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone!

@chindimples04 oh wow! I was least senior in my department until this year when the other 3 music teachers retired. Collectively, they have more than 90 years of teaching combined! It's going to be so strange being most senior in my department this upcoming school year!

@jenotontx sorry timing has been crappy this month. It's definitely a transition, scheduling specific days for it, but hopefully it'll be easier soon.

@priyadoc I totally feel your pain on not Oing until super late in most "regular" cycles. I don't think I've ever O'd before CD 28. I hope you O soon!

@inthewoods23 sorry things are piling up at work. I hope you can catch up and get ahead of it soon!

@gingermama29 that sounds like a great opportunity to expand your role! FX you get it!

@jenotontx DH and i are the same way--it never feels spontaneous and i hate that.  what i did this cycle was give DH a post it with the dates of my expected FW so i dont have to say 'hey lets go DTD today is peak fertility day."  still not super sexy but maybe it will help a little.

@priyadoc that is super frustrating, sorry you're going through that.  would you consider getting a second opinion that may be more open to testing for O sooner than 3 months?

@inthewoods23 sucks that you're feeling buried at work--do you have a long weekend off? maybe you can knock out a few to get back on par and be on target for next week

WAYDTGKU: prenatals, CoQ10, temping, OPKs, Proov, and starting with Conceive+ (damn i think i add something new every month)

R/R: so our state just pulled back and is now not opening indoor dining as planned for Thursday.  Luckily the restaurant i work at has a good outdoor space, but it definitely dampens the mood knowing that we are in limbo now for indoor.  i will be cutting back there soon anyway once i go back into the office around the 20th.  still weird to think that in 3 weeks ill be commuting back into NYC...eeek!  in other news, our slow reno is coming along.  our friend who is a contractor has been working on vaulting our family room ceiling for us.  he comes over 2-3 times a week and is making good progress.  my house is a mess right now though between dust and furniture literally just pulled out of the room and placed wherever it fits.  hopefully another 2 weeks and i can replace everything.

@gingermama29 congrats on a successful interview and good luck in that leadership role! I don’t know you but your enthusiasm is leaping of these e-pages and that’s a key ingredient in being a role model! 🤗

@inthewoods23 sorry to hear about your slacking colleague. It sure sounds like he’s cruising on your coat tails. Is he always like that? Or has he just checked out for this week because of the holiday?

@jenotontx sorry about the crappy timing. I can only imagine the stress of DTD on specific days. Are you following a method? DH and I have to work hard to not feel like it’s a chore... which also makes it a chore?! You’re not a alone.

@priyadoc Can you tell yourself which cycles you’re ovulating and which you’re possibly not? If you want a quick confirmation of ovulation, you could try the Proov progesterone strips. They’re like $30 bucks for 1 cycle and would give you some peace of mind and maybe get your OB to test you sooner. I’m super into doing as much yourself as possible and then going to doc with evidence to expedite the testing.

@inthewoods23 I’m just trying to target my fertile window. I assumed based on previous history it would be around CD11-14 and other signs have also confirmed I’m likely fertile right now (some cramping and EWCM). My cycles have always been fairly consistent with a 26 day cycle while off BC in the past.

@acleverusername alwayssssssss. It's bad. I mean I have a friend in the customer service department who will message me "are you the only one in the office today?" because she sees me responding to our tech support customer emails but not him. I literally make myself leave emails unread and unresponded to so that he can answer it and it will take hours before he does it. There's been some days where he doesn't send out a single email until the afternoon! And he'll totally claim that he was on a lot of phone calls in the morning but the phones ring to all of us simultaneously so I know he's BSing.

R/R: It’s a beautiful day here today! I’m looking forward to Thursday and a road trip to the beach for a mini-moon (best we can manage since our honeymoon has been indefinitely postponed.)

Also really chasing down this progesterone supplementation issue I’ve dug up. Emailed my OB asking “why don’t you think I need to supplement when the consensus is ‘it doesn’t hurt’”. Will see what she says.

@acleverusername I hope your doc works with you on that, it's so frustrating when doctors, especially GYNs won't take the patients concerns seriously or act like we're clueless.

@comeongetdown how many people are expected at this wedding? Is it small?

@Kenneylynn3 you're probably fine to start BBT. I believe some don't temp during AF so you're right on time to start and track O.

@inthewoods23 it's a small wedding, but it's still larger than our state's recommended gathering size.  The only reason I'm on board is because it's all outdoors and we can have our own table and chairs separated appropriately and we're bringing masks and hand sanitizer but I'm still being all paranoid about it.  I have bad anxiety so that's not helping either.

@Kenneylynn3 I've temped in the past and I waited until after my period to start taking temps

@inthewoods23 That's good to know, I guess her "checking if I'm ovulating" is the OPKs, but agreed that a progesterone check would be better. Especially since I'm not really making CM. I hope work slows down for you a bit!!

@asf0613 Yeah, maybe I should consider another opinion. She did say I could call her if I get too worried, but I don't want to be annoying. Hope your new ceiling turns out great!!

@acleverusername I hadn't heard of the Proov test but that sounds like a great idea, thank you so much!! I'm glad you guys still get to take a mini-moon, hope it's so much fun! 

@comeongetdown Good that the wedding is outside - the risk of transmission outdoors is much lower, if it makes you feel any better!!

@Kenneylynn3 Yeah it's definitely frustrating but I also get her point since this is only my second cycle trying. I was tracking for several months before trying though. FX for you!

@asf0613 will let you know what my OB says. Hopefully she'll either give me a prescription or provide justification why I shouldn't be doing this. Regardless, I asked the folks in Proov group what to do since that's where I got the idea of going to Push Health, and they've given me good advice re: how to use the prescription I have. So, not all is wasted even if my OB doesn't budge. 

Too bad about the restaurant not being able to reopen indoor dining. But it's probably for the best considering the re-uptick in Covid cases. So distressing.

@inthewoods23 WOW. Your colleague sounds like a super-slacker! Can you do anything about it?

@acleverusername I've brought up my concerns. It seems my boss will talk to him about it and things are okay for like a day or 2, and then it seems to go straight back to the same old thing. My therapist wants me to ignore it, but I still notice it (it's pretty hard not to) and just try to keep working. I didn't like him after we interviewed him but he had the knowledge we could use so we hired him. Within the last year or so we've implemented some metrics to improve our department and when we don't meet the metrics he's always expressing some kind of excuse or disagreement with how we're calculating the metrics. One of our metrics is how often we answer the phone when it's ringing (vs letting it go to voicemail) and my coworker tried to argue the other day that the calls that come in during the lunch hour shouldn't count. I mean, why not just say "we shouldn't count the ones that come in during our meetings because we are not available to answer those calls". His mindset is just so bad.

He's also had the audacity to ask about the yearly bonus we get (not profitable enough last year for it) and our merit increases (on hold due to covid) since the pandemic started. Like dude, stop asking about the money. He asked about one of these in a meeting in such a tone deaf manner. It may have been the meeting when we got told they would be implementing pay cuts. Just SO not the right time to ask about merit increases

@acleverusername aww thank you. 😊 Your mini-moon sounds awesome and definitely making the best of a crappy situation. Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon and you'll be able to take your honeymoon.

@Kenneylynn3 definitely not too late to start temping. Many people don't temp during AF.
