I just read an article that it can cause birth defects, it’s in practically everything. What to do? I feel everything is bad for an unborn baby. Ugh

1. Calm down. It's not in everything.
2. Check the source on your article. You likely read some misinterpretation of scientific research by someone who had no qualifications to interpret it and make a website for anyone to read. SLS's real danger? Mild skin irritation. 
3. Still not ok using so many products with it in there? That's ok. There's plenty of personal care products out there that leave it out. Be prepared to pay a little more in most cases. Can't afford to change everything you use? Baby will be fine. You'll be fine. 
4. Stop overthinking every ingredient. You could change everything about what you eat and use and baby could still have a birth defect. Genetics are a bigger factor and that's out of your hands. But odds are in your favor. Chances are baby is fine, no problems. The best thing you can do? Listen to your doctor and not the internet.
