Re: Newbie Intros w/o 2/24
Ages (you and SO): I'm 30, DH is 33.
How many months have you been TTC?: This will be month number 3.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Currently taking prenatal vitamins, using OPKs, tracking CM and CP and of course HIO in the midst of all of that.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I guess I should preface this with the fact I live in Australia, so I'm not sure how the time difference will work with posting/keeping up with everyone but I will do my best! I could not find the Australian equivalent of this board (that I actually wanted to participate in...) so here I am. I'm an RN working in a neurosurgical unit and DH works in the insurance industry. We have a 22 month old DD so are TFAS. We have a not-so-miniature-groodle named Max, a chicken who thinks she's a rooster and as my username suggests, plenty of bees. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
I jumped in the WTO thread earlier! I've been lurking on and off since December and decided to finally jump in.
Ages (you and SO): both 35
How many months have you been TTC?: 10 months but 8 cycles after **TW my second loss in July TW**
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: PNV, OPKs, charting, BD EOD during FW.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc)
**LC Mentioned**
I have two DS - a 6 year old and a 3 year old. They keep me pretty busy and both have bad baby fever right now- idk if they've picked up on conversations MH and I have had or where they got it from. The 6 year old keeps asking if he can use his Christmas money to buy a baby 😂😭😭
We have a 10 year old cat that is more or less hypoallergenic and is such a sweet girl. She is a Siberian and is very dog like, and loves to sleep on my head every night.
I'm an elementary school librarian and love it. My job is different every day and busy. I do a lot of tech with my kids (coding, 3d printing) and love sharing books with them.
Reading and eating are my hobbies 😂 getting back into running now too, stopped last spring due to a crazy schedule. I had strep 5 times last year and was on heavy duty antibiotics often which really took a toll on me, but I've been healthy for the last 4 months and itching to get back out on the road.
Excited to participate on the board and to get to know you all!
@_orchid_ welcome! Kids say the darndest things sometimes don't they 😆 there's a weekly TTC after loss (TTCAL) thread that you may be interested in participating in.
Look forward to getting to know you both 🙂

I'm so interested in the bees! Does your MIL have any training or background to prepare her for a colony?
@thebeelady how did you get into beekeeping? Were you affected by the fires at all?
@thebeelady. Welcome. My dad wants to have a bee hive so badly, but my mother will not let him due to HIS bee allergy. There are a couple hives in his neighborhood and when the weather is nice, he gives me daily updates on them.

That's so funny that your dad wants a beehive despite his allergies!
@inthewoods23 good for her! I hope it works out! I always plant flowers for the bees in my area in the spring/summer but have never even thought about a bee colony, so cool!
Ages (you and SO): I'm 33 and the husband is 36!
How many months have you been TTC?: This is month one!
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I just came off my birth control this week and also started prenatal vitamins. I am tracking my BBT along with using ovulation strips. I also use the Ovia app to keep track. I have an OB appointment tomorrow to run my bloodwork and check my hormones. I have a kidney disease so I also have a 24 urine sample to do next weekend just to get a base line number of everything.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have one little guy who is 3.5 and we have two cats! I teach in a public school as a two way immersion preschool teacher where my students learn one week in English (with me) and one week in Spanish in the class next door so I have two classes that rotate weekly! Hobby wise, I like to make stuff on my Cricut and, throw back, I play the Sims to decompress randomly. I'm pretty excited and nervous about TTC # 2.
How many months have you been TTC?: Well actually we never tried to avoid to conceive, it naturally didn't happen after our first son seven years ago.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Nothing right now, I'm looking for advise. My Gyn recommended to take Clomid.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have one 7 year old boy and 3 dogs. I have been married for 9 years.
ETA because it didn’t tag Alex at first
I am 35 and trying for my 2nd. I am currently seeing an RE to help out just like I did with my first. I might have to take a break ttc, but if I do, I will just come back later. We will see! Also, I was diagnosed with unkown infertility.
@alex109 DO NOT take clomid unsupervised (monitoring of folicular growth/numbers). OB's are there once your pregnant and if your having trouble getting pregnant you should see an RE for appropriate evaluation. Not only can clomid cause multiples it has a life time max recommended usage of 6 cycles. Beyond that you can cause permanent damage to your uterine lining, further affecting your ability to get pregnant. Also your SO should have a semen analysis. Its pointless to put you on meds to increase your ovulation if he has problems in the swimmer area. Please find an RE for evaluation and then appropriate monitoring. Good luck with your TTC journey.
Diagnosed : unexplained infertility
6 rounds of IUI and a MC 2/2014, rainbow twins 4/2015
TTC #3 5/2016
Restarted Fertility tx
IUI 2 rounds, baby girl 12/17
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Charting
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have a 4 year old son. I’m nervous because of my age and in January I made a huge career change opening my own business.
