@modoodles so pretty, I love the detail! I didn’t care about the dress at all going into wedding planning, but then a friend introduced me to a custom designer who made wedding dresses out of vintage nightgowns who made me the dress of my dreams, and I was obsessed!
@pocketrose so beautiful! Also, the top black & white photo is adorable! I'm assuming parents and grandparents? I love it! I did photo charms of both mine and DH's grandparents wedding photos on my bouquet. 💜
@modoodles Thanks! Yep, it's H's parents and maternal grandparents. H is super lucky and at age 31 has 3 living grandparents.
There were a few iterations of the photo and we got a canvas print of one of them where we aren't quite kissing but they are and I joke that they've had more practice to get it right.
I wanted something that would be simple and that I would be comfortable in. I love what I picked out and I think it fits my personality pretty well. Also I picked one where you guys can see my bouquet my mom made with silk flowers and brooches. Some are from family members or have special meaning. I still love looking at it.
Yay! I love this thread! Y’all are all so beautiful and look gorgeous in your wedding photos!
Our wedding was a giant party and everyone tells us it’s the most fun they’ve had at a wedding. We all had sooo much fun! I’ll say, if I had it to do again, I’d prob choose a different dress... or a different photog? But a lot of the pics ended up on the side without the embellished shoulder and all... but, whatever. We remember the amazing time and that’s what matters most!
There were flowers EVERYWHERE... it was early spring. Photog took our pics in front of dead trees 😑 I hate that I didn’t say something.
If you weren’t on the dance floor, you didn’t get to see much of me! But that’s okay bc most everyone else was also there! This is my bestie and club dance partner from college
I love each and every one of these! Our wedding was a big party as well, I had so much tequila and there are videos of my best friend and I singing "none of yo business" after she borrowed the DJ's microphone. And my husband was iced twice under my wedding dress while looking for the garter 😂 my dress had so much poof. It was perfect 💜
I loooove my dress! I wore my grandmother’s gauntlets (fingerless gloves) from her wedding. I also loved my flowers, which were wood and silk. My bouquet looks the same today as it did (almost) two years ago. So fun to see everyone looking so beautiful!!!
The spoilers went haywire. I don’t know what’s happening. Stupid app.
oh i love this thread!! you are all SO beautiful!!!!!

OMG! This thread is amazing and you are all so beautiful in your dresses!! I'm not a person that loves to get dressed up at all, but for some reason, I LOVE wedding dresses. All of them. Love the details and the craftsmanship whether they are simple or super out there. I want to share a pic of mine but how are all of you doing it if not through the app?? I'm on my work computer and don't think I can save one on here lol.
@meanjellybean I used the app last night and learning about the refresh button was a game changer. Once I clicked on a thread to open, I pressed the refresh button and, after just a few seconds, it typically opened the thread I was wanting. If that doesn't work, I email photos to my work email, save them to my desktop, and then upload them after Hope that helps!
@meanjellybean another hot tip for mobile bumping that I just learned: open the website in the internet browser on your phone instead of using the app. I've not had any issues with it since trying that way (granted, last night was the first time I tried that...)
Yay I think I figured the spoiler box out! I tried to participate in the fur babies but couldn’t figure it out... I definitely read the directions wrong. Anyway, I love this thread and you all look so beautiful!
Edit because I got so excited about the spoiler box I forgot to finish my thought... we looked at dresses together online before I went and I guess he had a favorite but didn’t tell me. It ended up being the dress I chose. I always thought that was neat. Right before trying it on I said how do you know... then I just knew
This is the dress from my 2nd wedding. I'll have to look for my first dress at home it was long enough ago it's not in my shutterfly stuff. $41 Nordstrom Rack
@blaf322 Thank you. The curls in the back were great. Just a random hair person I found online in NYC. We were married in Central Park and I found a couple of people online (via theKnot) to help.
Oh my goodness, I'm crying. You all look so beautiful.
It's nice to reminisce about our day! I got to wear my mom's veil and had the best day. I cried when it was over, like literally ugly cried saying "I don't want it to be overrrrr".
Everyone looks soooo gorgeous; I love seeing these!
Here is mine.. definitely wasn’t the style I had intended (strapless, mermaid) but when I put it on it made my grandma cry so I knew it had to be the one haha. Had to show off my bouquet too; my grandma handmade it!
Very late to the party- sorry! Here’s some pics of mine- sorry for the obnoxious stickers our wedding was a lot of fun minus my bridesmaid getting sick pretty much as the reception was starting 🙄 I wish I had gone on the dance floor more rather than worrying about talking to every single person there!
I look awkward AF here but it’s the only dedicated pic of the back of the dress
I'm bringing up the rear on this thread...I've been extremely busy at work the last week or so. I've been trying to keep up with reading posts, but haven't had time to actually post anything.
We actually had two events...we got married in the summer with just our parents and my sister and family (who surprised us by driving 11+ hours to be there) present. For the wedding, my sister made me a bouquet of wildflowers, she has a degree in landscape architecture, so she knows a lot about horticulture. I picked out my wedding dress about two weeks before we got married...I wasn't sure I was going to get one, but went to look and ended up with one!
Then we had a reception at a winery in CA in November...I wore a rent the runway dress for the reception and it worked out perfectly!!
At the age of 20, I guessed the desire to marry at 25 years to the most beautiful man. Who would have thought that the well of desires would make my desire come true? And now, I choose a wedding dress online at Cathytelle. Now I will be in a chic dress and with a chic husband, not life, but a dream. I wish you all that!

Also, sorry but I will remain headless for now. 🤣

I’m too tired to try to hide my face. Also wedding makeup is expensive so...
