I only mobile bump and the app has been absurd for me lately. I’ve never had a problem with it until today. It won’t even work on my mobile browser, but then I requested the desktop site and it worked but it’s so teeny tiny. So I apologize to everyone I ghosted in WTO today, and if anyone has any ideas how to fix my broken app please help.

@gingermama29 I was wondering the same thing about the camera icon...it’s very blue and sticks out from the other badges! 

@bows22 the app has been horrible for me the past few days...won’t load a page and then when I hit refresh, sometimes it does nothing at all but other times it loads and then reloads real fast putting me at the top of the thread! I just restarted my phone because my battery has been draining really quickly today. It magically fixed my app issues...for now at least. It may be worth a shot to restart your phone. I know that’s the universal IT fix, but it’s amazing how many times it actually works!

@bows22 I only mobile bump too and the app has been driving me nuts lately also and especially today. I’ve been having so many problems and issues with it and haven’t been able to post much. I feel your frustration on this. So glad I’m not the only one.

I remember the app being pretty bad, I forgot how bad! It loads fine on my phone but it's still pretty glitchy overall.

My app is still not really working but it seems that if I hit refresh as soon as I try to open a page then that helps. But sometimes I don’t get a comment box.

@bows22 woot! I don't think mine expires until March so I still have to play nice. Hope your app issues get worked out. My app has been fine (Android version)

@bows22 looks like my magic fix was only temporary...it’s back to being terrible again this morning! The refreshing immediately does seem to help some. I’m an Apple user, are you Apple or Android? Also, yay for your warnings expiring!

@bluetickgal apple here too! I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling and that didn’t work either. Hopefully it’s fixed soon

If you hover over the photo image it says "Photogenic" - I'm thinking it's what @inthewoods23 said about it being a new badge for uploading photos?

The app has been pretty spotty for me too....I'm shocked that after ALL THESE YEARS of the site being up and running that they don't have a more user friendly and more consistent app.

Apparently I earned this badge in September of last year... so as long as you upload a photo to your profile you'll get it... lol

I think it's a little odd though that I don't see everyone with the new badge - for example, I see @bluetickgal and @mindyb2019have it, but @kpearse99, @bows22 and @inthewoods23 don't, just to name a couple. 

I also agree about the app - it's especially weird given that I'm pretty sure the reason the site had the big schism from around 2014-2015 is because TB tightened up TOU and enforcement, and the rumor was because it was due to tons of negative app reviews. A well-designed and supported app can make money using sponsored content, etc. We'd basically all be a captive audience!

@mvt2003 I think because some of us have "anniversary" or "long-lasting member" (that's what I have) that's why our photogenic one isn't showing.

@kpearse99 That must be it! I created a new account almost a year ago to participate on the TB boards. My old The Knot ID was my actual first name because I didn't participate on those boards!

@mvt2003 @kpearse99 yeah it's because they only show 4 badges at a time. I remember in my early days being like, does no one love tit my stuff, I love tit people! Why don't I have that badge?? After some investigating, turns out that badge stopped counting or something in April of 2018 and they finally fixed it like 6 months or a year ago and I magically had the 5 heart badges displayed.

Well someone just sent me a FB message that they found my wallet on the side of the road. God only knows how that happened. My life is such a disaster 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. What is the etiquette in this situation? Do I give her money?

@bows22 OMG how??!!!! Thank goodness they contacted you!!!! I don't know what I would do... I guess I can understand giving some money but at the same time, it's human decency to do the right thing and return a wallet when you find it so I don't know if I would give anything.

ETA - if I were the one to find a wallet and return it I would not expect anything in return and I would turn down any money that might be offered to me because that wasn't the reason I was returning the wallet.

@bows22 how nice that they messaged you! I wouldn’t expect to receive any money for returning one either. But one time my husband left his wallet at a gas station that we frequent and when he went to get it the guy had “tipped” himself $20.... sooo 🤷🏼‍♀️

@bows22 I am in agreement with @kpearse99 . It would be impolite to expect any sort of reward for that sort of thing. Just rude! If they are meeting you and spending gas money, perhaps you could reimburse the person for that?

I had a decent amount of cash in my wallet and I am just really grateful that she left it all there. She said that she was just complaining about everything that was going wrong with her car and then she saw my wallet and said it was like God was showing her that there are worse problems and gave her the opportunity to help me. It really touched my heart. I know she didn’t do it for a reward but I gave her a little cash and said it would mean a lot to me if you took it and did something nice for yourself, you deserve it. 

As a side note, since I didn’t return her Facebook messages right away, she googled my name and called my work and also messaged a few people in my family and while I am very thankful for the effort, I could do without the world knowing that I’m a hot mess haha

@bows22 wow that's so nice of the lady to go through all that effort to return your wallet to you. I hope her luck turns around (and yours!). Still no idea how it ended up on the side of the road, of all places? 
Also, I'm slightly creeped out at the idea that if someone found my wallet they could do just about anything with that information. On the other hand, I definitely know it's possible to find out all sorts of stuff with just your name because I used to do it all the time with people I met on POF when I was still online dating lololollll.

@kiki047 when she said where she found it, I remembered that I put my wallet on top of my car when j was getting gas this morning. I don’t think I’ve ever put anything on top of my car in my life but I was struggling to get the gas cap off and put it up there. I know you aren’t supposed to get in your car while pumping gas but it was freezing so I did right away and the rest was history 😬.  I had crappy sleep last night so my brain was a little foggy this morning and I totally forgot that I did that. Like I said, hot mess. 

And i totally agree with being creeped out. My last name is extremely uncommon so that definitely makes it way too easy to find me. At least in this case it was a good thing.

Maybe this is an UO @bows22 but I ALWAYS get in my car when pumping gas....even though I know you're not supposed to! opps!  It's either too cold or too hot!

I guess you'll never put your wallet on top of your car again?! But add me to your hot mess party because lately I have no idea what I've been doing! The other week I put a container of sprinkles in the microwave, instead of the cabinet where they belonged. If I hadn't just had my beta confirm I wasn't KU I would have gone and tested haha

@bows22 Omg I'm so glad you got it back, that was really nice of that woman (although it does feel a little weird that we're all so easy to find now...) and I think you handled the "tipping" perfectly! We'll discuss my rant about "tipping culture" at a later time haha.

@mvt2003 my own profile photo was throwing me for a loop when I would check if I had love titted someone's comment already. The large pic of Pinecone was much easier to see 😂

I was in a truck once with someone who filling up on gas WHILE IT WAS STILL RUNNING. I was waiting to be dead from the truck exploding but I survived. I couldn't care less that it was the end of January at the time, you do not ever fill your car while it's running!! 😬

@gingermama29 The blue camera thing is the photogenic badge. Just means that you've added a profile picture instead of their generic pre-set ones.

@linzrunz they are a lot of work. They're actually nocturnal and have sort of a few special requirements for proper care. For example, they do lots of running so you need to buy them a running wheel, but it can't be the type that's wire, it has to be a solid surface. Their little toes and nails can get caught in the wire holes on those types of wheels so they are not recommended for use.

You have to be pretty serious about owning one. It's not like a hampster where you can just fill their water and food bowl day after day and that's it. They need to be socialized too, otherwise they can be very fussy when handled.

@bows22 someone I knew put their coffee on the roof of their car once when they were getting in, then they opened their sunroof and when they went around the corner it fell in on top of them. Ever since then I'm so paranoid about putting stuff on the roof because I'm so short I wouldn't necessarily see it when I was getting in. So I can totally see how it might happen! 
@inthewoods23 OMG to the person filling their tank while running. @kpearse99 is that gif an admission of guilt?
