Some schools here already closed until 4/20. They’ve cancelled college graduations around here too. My boss and I will work alternating weeks for now starting tomorrow. We cancelled Maeve’s birthday celebrations. I’m not sure she’ll even get to see my family on her actual birthday. Strangest thing I ever remember living through. Hope everyone is feeling well.
@shoretobe graduations are cancelled here too for the local colleges. We had planned a zoo trip for Nate’s birthday and obviously cancelled, but we’re having grandparents over for lunch and cake. We’re all well and live next door to each other.
I finally figured out Declan has a molar coming in. Let’s just throw that in with everything else. we were supposed to have Declan’s party last weekend but canceled- between all my kids having colds and my family are all medical and have been working so we don’t want to cross contaminate.
Stay in place order is probably coming here later today.
Hi guys!! I've missed you all! I need to start checking here more often! Ive been studying for a certification exam over the last few months but the exam got canceled and my gym is closed so now i have a bunch of free time. Our hospital is now essential personnel only and no visitors at all (peds and L&D get 1 visitor). Its been eerily quiet at work. We're pretty much waiting for the poo to hit the fan. Everything is shut down. I was able to snag some wipes off of amazon that said they would be delivered on april 20th but showed up on sunday! People are waiting in lines at the grocery stores in the morning and stocking up. I still cant find toilet paper but thankfully i still have a few rolls lol. I thought about potty training too but he wont sit on the potty for more than .3 seconds at a time i dont think he is quite ready for that yet.
We still just have a social distancing thing here. No shelter in place yet but i assume itll be here soon.
I forget if I said it here, but I’m home this week (we’re trading off weeks in my office since NJ is on the stay at home order). We’re on day 2 of napping in her big girl bed and it’s been pretty successful. I have to move the camera in there and get blinds before we do overnight.
She’s in there under the smaller blanket 😂 I haven’t been feeling well thanks to the weather and allergies so it’s making this stay at home much more difficult. (Did anyone take Benadryl when pregnant?) Hoping to feel better and more productive tomorrow.
@mccurleya the zoo was my backup plan when we had to cancel Kalahari...so now I’m thinking we’ll just to decorate the house and have silly day. I keep reminding myself it wasn’t like they were looking forward to anything so it’s not like it’s a disappointment.
@sgrn18 that must be frustrating to have your cert cancelled. Hope things aren’t too crazy for you at work and that you all have everything you need to do your jobs safely. Maybe preorder the toilet paper so it gets there by the time you need it?
@megpeg - poor Declan that’s so uncomfortable. Sorry you had to cancel the party. I keep saying we’re having a big cook out once this is all over.
Oddly - I’m still not nervous (probably because I’ve been home since Friday and haven’t seen first hand). I’m just wondering how this is happening and hoping it’s over before baby2 is due (but I’m trying not to worry about that just yet with 3ish months to go).
