I have never gotten into fantasy or sci-fi movies... so count me out of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel superheroes, etc. Talking animal Disney movies are okay. Also, I didn’t love A Star is Born. I didn’t like Bradley Cooper’s voice and I wanted to shake him so he got his shit together. I was mad at Gaga for just forgiving him over and over.

@NYTino24 I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but the movies weren't great. I recommend the books though if you ever want to give it a shot.

@NYTino24 Same same girl! Except I like sci-fi movies about outer space, space travel, etc. 

My UO is that the drive-bys have rarely bothered me & I’ve usually ignored them. When I do respond to them I’ve gotten into the habit of trying to nicely or matter-of-factly point them in the right direction. I just realized—after the fact—that I’m tired of it & I wish I left that Peggy alone just now so everyone else could’ve “Release the Kraken!” on her. That s*#% was so obviously positive that she deserved a slap in the face for posting here. Ok, rant over! Whew!

@keikilove I thought about my snarky response of "well what do the instructions say". I do agree that being matter of fact with the "you can't post that here" shuts it down pretty quick assuming they are sitting there waiting for us to respond.

I didn't see the pee sticks, so the triggering wasn't as bad for me I guess.  Plus, I think there's a limit to the number of FRIENDS I can have within a certain time frame... LOL

That peggy's wording was just so smug IMO. No, I'm not going to confirm what she just can't seem to believe. 

The only freaking positive pregnancy tests I've ever seen have been peggy's. That fact makes me really sad. I might need to go get a pinata today, because that suggestion might have been one of the best ones I've seen on here.

@mvt2003 I agree with you about the smug wording. Plus the whole, "it's my first cycle TTC, here's my pee sticks," really annoyed me. Congrats on being a magical unicorn Peggy that gets KU on the first try because of course you are. What's that like?

Also, I feel like I say this every time, but do these women have no friends? Why do they feel compelled to blast their pee sticks onto a board full of internet strangers? None of us know them, so why would we be excited for them? Are we supposed to just be a bunch of robots, programmed to be excited that a pregnancy exists somewhere? 🙄

Just to be clear, I am OVER THE MOON EXCITED every time we have a grad, but if I don't "know" someone, then why would I be excited for them?!?!

@capnjackharkness Yeah she had a freaking progression of pee sticks (3 of them). The last one being CLEARLY positive 🙄

@mvt2003 my guess is the "confirm what she can't believe" was probably more about the fact that it was her first cycle and not so much like, "I don't think these tests are right". But still. I hated the wording too.

I’m just catching up on yesterday’s WTF thread and @kiki047’s post about the inlaws reminded me of a UO. 

I don’t think 1 year olds birthday parties should be that big of a deal. They are turning 1. They have no real friends to invite, they won’t remember it, the celebration is really for the family. I don’t get why some people put a lot of work and money into it. (@kiki047 - especially if they’re too tired to actually put in the work and wind up asking others to do it all for them!).

Hahaha yes thank you @krystrist2014, I agree. And this party has gotten so out of hand. It was supposed to be just immediate family and a few of his friends from playgroup. Now it's like 55 people and growing. Someone just asked if they can bring their dog. NO! 

I feel the same way about gender reveal parties. I have very strong opinions about those.

UO or FFFC maybe, but I feel like it shouldn't matter how far along you are in a pregnancy, you should at least make an effort to dress decently for work. Like all week my PG coworker, due in a month, has been wearing Sherpa lined slip-on slippers. Like that's really not an appropriate shoe for work even though we don't regularly have visitors. Dress like a slob at home, but at least be a little put together at work.

@inthewoods23 Does she have shoes that fit her? That’s the only reason I’d maybe give her a pass. Otherwise, put on some real shoes, please!

@tyrion_ prior to this week it's been her Ugg boots and those I'm fine with because it's been cold and sometimes I end up wearing my winter boots too vs a leather boot if it's cold enough or nothing but snow all day.

I have another coworker who wears slippers, but only when she's at her desk to keep her feet warm so no one ever actually sees them. She doesn't wear them around the office.

@tyrion_ they're not all useless. The PG coworker is actually good at what she does. We are a bit dysfunctional though. Some stuff makes me want to leave but I'm certainly happier with what I do here than my previous job.
