Re: Weekly Randoms w/o 10/28

  • @inthewoods23 I dressed as a goth once.  I basically wore a black shirt, a black skirt, black tights... did a smokey eye and bought a cheap like $2 tube of black lipstick and voila.  Done.

  • @capnjackharkness I did consider that! I wear lots of black or I could wear a black band t-shirt, black shoes and accessories. Just need the black lipstick!

  • wtf.

    TW - but you probably want to open it in case you get one of these.

    Apparently a company is randomly sending out "Congrats on your BFP!!!" to women who are decidedly... not.

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin that's quite a story. WTF indeed. I've heard of product samples being sent but nothing like that. Sheesh.
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin that's super f*cked up.
  • My favourite costume was of Scarlet Witch. This was years before the marvel movies so it was very comic book centric.

    @whatsbumpinpumpkin What the actual F?! That is just awful. Who thought that was a good idea?! TW and maybe a bit insensitive (born out of rage):
    If Jenny B actually is a mother of 5 it may explain why she thought it was okay to send that stuff out. She probably hasn't had much, if any, trouble in that department. Criminey!
  • @capnjackharkness I'm so sorry all of that is hitting you, especially all at once. This journey isn't easy to begin with and then with all of that thrown in, it's hard not to let it beat you down.  Just know you are a strong person. <3

    @capnjackharkness so many hugs. 💜

    I can relate a little to feeling like everyone around you who also had losses has gone on to have their rainbows. It seems that way to me sometimes too with my friends and family. For many of them they got their THBs within a year. It can be so frustrating when it seems to happen for everyone else.
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin hope no one's got a relative named Jenny... 🙋‍♀️😬

    @capnjackharkness I'm so sorry you went through all that! I completely agree that a private notice to you would have been best. ❤️

  • @capnjackharkness so sorry for everything you have been hit with! And all at once at that!! Sending you all the positive vibes and hoping your day/week gets better!! 💜 On a positive note, I enjoyed your spoiler inception!
  • @capnjackharkness ugh I’m sorry ❤️
  • @capnjackharkness I am so sorry that all of that is happening at once. Sending all the positive thoughts and creepy internet hugs. Just as @kpearse99 says, you are a strong person <3
  • @capnjackharkness I am so sorry about this. Your stories shatter my heart every time because it doesn’t take much to be a considerate person. It sucks you find yourself having to manage these emotionally heartbreaking landmines because people can’t think about someone else for a single damn moment. I really wish things were different for you and all the ladies struggling here 💗
  • @capnjackharkness Ugh, I had a day like that last week. The worst.
    @inthewoods23 Hopefully she is more considerate than THAT Jenny.
    @meri-mac I know right?

  • Oooooo @mvt2003 it looks so awesome!!!!

  • @mvt2003 Great job! And well done! It looks awesome.
  • @mvt2003 That looks great!

    I called out sick again today. I went to the doctor. I get ear infections all the damn time, and it felt like I was starting to get a bad one - they cultured it and apparently I have MRSA in my damn ear. She said my throat looks like it's burned from the infection spreading down my throat. I am calling this still part of the month from hell, since it started last month.

    We are headed to trunk or treat tomorrow, so I have to dress up my car. I think we are going with this, but with lions instead.

  • Oh @whatsbumpinpumpkin so sorry!! Hope you get better soon! Yes, that was just part of the crappy October...I think November is going to be so much better for you!! That is a cute idea for trunk or treat! Have fun!!
  • Probably for the best DH benched us this month anyway, since they are putting me on some crazy antibiotics, lol.

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin Ugh i’m so sorry that’s craziness! I hope your super cute trunk or treat makes up for it a little bit
  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin OMG I'm sorry that added on to your crappy October!!  I hope you feel better quickly!  Your trunk or treat sounds so adorable, I love it!  Just a tip from (someone who has taken intense antibiotics for an intestinal bacteria) is you may want to increase your consumption of yogurt/ probiotics to help replenish your good gut bacteria and help keep stomach issues away. :smile:

  • @ziggymama06 Yeah, it's killing my stomach. We're mostly non-dairy, but there are some great non-dairy yogurt options now!

  • @whatsbumpinpumpkin ugh that's the worst!!!  I'm mostly non-dairy too and like the coconut yogurts.  I take a probiotic daily in addition to yogurt.  Good luck girl!

  • Any One Tree Hill fans out there? I *loved* that show back in the day :D ANYWAY I was watching Lifetime Christmas movies over the weekend (as one does the moment Halloween is over) and I saw a commercial for a new Christmas movie starring the cast of OTH! It’s going to be gloriously bad, for sure, and oh so wonderful.
