@chichiphin Right?! People are like, “oh, what if it’s someone you support/supported?” DO NOT CARE. Burn them all. Sickos.

  • Southwest has been my airline for years! All you have to do is set an alarm to you check in 24hrs in advance so you get in a higher boarding group! It's not that bad! DH hates them too and I think that's lame.

@ruby696 I don’t mind any of that stuff which is one upside to starting “official” IF treatment. I also don’t mind the dentist. Maybe I just like a little bit of self torture.

@b_1029 Once I got over the mental part of giving myself injections, I started looking forward to it. So weird. 😆

  • @ruby696 same lol. Although I think towards the end of the stims meds I was psyching myself out with puncturing myself that I wasn't stabbing myself fast enough for it to easily go in. Only happened with the lupron, I always did okay with the Gonal-F and menopur.

So weird to be excited for blood draws and US probes and all the fun stuff for IF, but hey, it's progress!

@inthewoods23 It must be a coping mechanism. Can you imagine how much worse IVF would be if you never got over the fear of needles??
    inthewoods23keikilove
  • @ruby696 that has to be a struggle if you have to close your eyes and have someone else inject you to get it done.

I first had to remind myself that these needles were probably no different than the needles on the flu shots and those are a slight prick so I can't be a baby about doing it.

Still can't get over the length of the trigger shot needle though!

I know @shamrocandroll will be horrified, but I wasn’t that impressed with my trip to The Grand Canyon. It was cool how deep it was, but I went with a bus tour of mostly people who didn’t speak English or socialize and the road there from Vegas was so bumpy and narrow. It was so commercialized (the Skywalk was pretty new) and we couldn’t go very far because Robert Downey Jr. was shooting part of a movie and production didn’t want people in the background. If I went on a donkey / helicopter ride, camped, etc. then I’m sure it would have been better.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • @NYTino24 Haha!  I can see that opinion, based on the description of your experience.  We don't really do tours because I hate being around other people.  We only did the South Rim because it was April and the North Rim was closed.  We didn't do the Skywalk, but I have vertigo, so that wouldn't have appealed to me very much.  We did a partial hike down the Bright Angel Trail, just me and DH.  We were supposed to do a helicopter ride, but it ended up being too windy that day.  Womp womp.  Someday I want to do a rafting trip there, although my mom just told me a story about my aunt almost dying on a rafting trip there, so now I'm scared.  I hate when she does stuff like that after I tell her I want to do something!

@newmomtx06 I agree. Theirs was not the healthiest relationship.

ETA: In a similar vein, "Grimm" should NOT have ended with Nick and Adalind together! Like I am still pissed about it. What she did to him was disgusting on so many levels, both magical and non-magical.
