I've seen this done on other boards and thought it might be fun here. What kind of wedding dress did you have? Or, what kind of wedding dress do you want? Obviously bonus for pics, either of your dress or similar styles
I've mentioned before we had kind of a backyard wedding. My dress was a knee length Adrianna Papell dress. Only a couple hundred bucks from Nordstrom. No regerts, misspell intentional! Lol
This is the only pic I have on my phone... The dress had beadwork about two feet up from the hem and along the bust, and a decent train. This was taken on my parent’s front porch. Look at those youngsters!
I loved my dress. It had lace all over it and I had it taken in to be completely form fitting until it flared at the bottom. It was only $400 and it went perfectly with my venue.
Here’s mine! I had a late morning/afternoon wedding and did a tea length. You can’t really see here but I had blue high heels that I loved so much. They hurt so bad though.
I still am in love with my dress 10 years later! It was a strapless dress with minimal beading at the top and layers of lace on the botton. This isnt the best picture as I'm holding the bottom up on the one side, but its the only one I have on my phone.
It's been six years and I'm still in love with my dress - Clarissa by Maggie Sottero. I fell in love with the dress immediately after trying it on simply because of the train and all of the beautiful lace detail.
It also came with a lace bolero that I wore for church and then removed for the reception.

@gumby22c your dress is basically exactly what I had in mind if I had actually planned a wedding! Instead we went a total shotgun wedding route (figured after 10 years together it wasnt as big of a milestone anymore), and I wore a simple green cotton dress that I ordered off Amazon 😂
What a fun thread idea! I had this idea that I wanted to feel like a bohemian fairy princess and I did. 🌷🌸🌺🌼 I got it from bhldn and added the belt from Etsy.
Fun!!! I have this photo from when I tried on the style. It looked way more awesome fitted and my size at the wedding, but I dislike my accessories from that day. 😒
ETA it was by Rivini ... very old style called Catalina
Love seeing everyone's dresses! @alaluap I love your tea length!! I wanted something more like the skirt you have but it was really hard to find something not floor length.
What a fun thread! I wanted a silk dress with real freshwater pearls and French lace ... out of my price range if storebought, so I ended up making it. It was truly a labor of love and I was very happy with how it came out!
Thank you so much @angieeeeee@creamcheeseplease@gumby22c! It was quite a project. Biggest downside was there there was no way I could keep it secret from my hubby-to-be — the dressform was kind of in the middle of our apartment at the time
I have been married 17 years, so our wedding wasn't photographed with a digital camera. I only have one photo on hand. My dress was an off-the-shoulder ball gown from David's Bridal. It had a lot of beading on the bodice with pink thread for a hint of color. It wasn't the style I was looking for, but every time I put it on I lit up.
@mimigarden beautiful dress! My sister also wanted a silk dress with real Pearl's so my Mom made her dress from across the country. It was quite the endeavor! You did an amazing job! I did my own flowers to meet our budget.
Re: GTKY: Wedding Dresses
edited to add it’s an essence of Australia gown
