First ultrasound 2 sac one heartbeat (8 week)

Hi,
Today I had first ultrasound and found 2 sac but only one baby’s heartbeat.
My emotions are kind of mixed.
is it going to be normal pregnancy. What will happen with other sac which has no hearbeat.

@knottie8dc43af3599ca0f7 Your body will re absorb the empty sac. This shouldn’t pose a risk to your remaining baby and is very common. I’m 14w tmrw and still seeing the empty sac on scans so everyone is different. You may be more prone to some spotting though, your doctor can address any concerns you have.
