What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 7 / 4 (AL)
WTO/TWW? I think I'm still in the WTO
Ages of other child(ren)? 6 years 8 months
Any thoughts about this cycle? Always hopeful, but trying not to thinking about it to just enjoy being in the moments.
Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: This weekend was a solid 50/50. I got DS's stomach bug over the night Friday night and was up hugging the toilet from midnight to 5am. So Saturday was a waste of a day, as I spend 90% of it sleeping and recovering in bed. DH and DS were amazing though and really took care of me. Sunday I felt like a human again and it was a great day! We did a lot of yard work and cleaned out the garden and dug a hole for the new tree that's coming on Tuesday. It was a solid family day, indeed!
I was able to change my work schedule a bit so now I work 9-5:15 instead of 8:30-4:45, which I'm so happy about because now I get to take DS to school everyday! It was so nice to walk him to school this morning, hand in hand! Those moments are so precious.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? Anything that is not actually a toy... Yup, even at the age of 6 he'd still rather play with a freakin' cardboard box than the toy that came in it! haha Other than that, he's pretty into his Nintendo switch, which of course we limit the use of but it's currently his favorite. Outside, he loves to play with his flying turtle scooter and his power wheels.

@kpearse99 Awww sorry about the bug but glad you recovered relatively quickly! Also, totally feel you on the not-toy thing! DS always wants to play with things that aren't meant to be played with.
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 9/0 (AL)
WTO/TWW? WFAF, CD26
Ages of other child(ren)? 2.5
Any thoughts about this cycle? Partially looking forward to TTC again, but also partially terrified!
Any questions? None at the moment
Rant/Rave/Brag: This weekend was so nice out, and was exactly what I needed. We spent pretty much the whole thing outside, and I think it put both DS and myself in such a great mood. He was an absolute joy all weekend, and it made me really sad about going back to work today. BUT I got up at 5am this morning and started a new exercise routine with a fellow local mom, so feeling good and energized and optimistic about that!
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? Hard to say. Anything with a button, mostly things that aren't toys (the remote, the kitchen scale, etc.). For actual toys, he loves his play instruments and play kitchen. He loves to "cook" for me, and it's adorable!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Unusually hopeful for some reason. I gave it my all...
Any questions? For those with IF and going for another... at what point/ or are you getting testing done again? Did you go straight to an RE or “give it time” first?
Rant/Rave/Brag: I put it in the TWW... but I got a photo with Jason Momoa yesterday! 😍
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? Dirt, sticks, rocks and anything she can climb on lol
Any thoughts about this cycle? Hopes are too high. I have a migraine and kept getting sweaty in my sleep, which happens with hormonal changes, and I had a temp dip yesterday. Now, I have a temp drop literally every month, so I shouldn’t read into it, but ... I am bsc
Any questions? No
Rant/Rave/Brag: literally worst week ever! Ds was sick Sunday into Monday with a stomach virus. He also threw up on Thursday night once. Dd got sick Friday and was throwing up for nearly 30 hours, fevered and tired/dizzy all day yesterday. Around 9:30 last night, ds started throwing up all night long, while I had a migraine. My house smells, I have done about 100 loads of laundry, and all 3 couches have been vomited on (2 got diarrhea too!). Dh and I haven’t caught it, but you know we will!
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? Ds loves magnets right now. Dd loves the fake American girl doll stuff from target.
@kpearse99 sorry you were sick. We did a lot of yard work yesterday, the weather has been great for it. That’s great about changing your hours and being able to walk your ds to school!
@kpearse99 - Wow, what a way to spend a weekend! I'm glad you were feeling better by Saturday. And that's so cute that you get to walk DS to school.
@shamrocandroll - Kids just love to be outside! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, and props to you for getting up at 5am to workout.
@madcouplewithabox - Most of the people I know with IF, for their 2nd, they would give it a 3-6 month try before going back to IUIs or IVF (depending on why and what treatments they had).
@holly321 - I hope you can get through this illness unscathed!
What number are you trying for? THB #2
Month/Cycle? 12/11
WTO/TWW? TWW
Ages of other child(ren)? 18 months
Any thoughts about this cycle? Not hopeful. AF cramps started yesterday
Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: DD learned 5 more new words over this week: Mess, mine, wet, knee, and owie. She also woke up from 1:30-3:30 Sunday morning. It seems like her sleep always suffers when she learns new words.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? The swing! Every day all day, it's "swing?" and "outside?" Also bubbles is a favorite!
@kpearse99@holly321 I'm sorry you all had sick kiddos. I hope everyone recovered quickly and no one else gets sick.
@shamrocandroll Good for you with the exercise program! It is amazing how movement can make you feel. I need to get on that bandwagon again.
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 1/1 NTNP
WTO/TWW? WTO
Ages of other child(ren)? 2.5
Any thoughts about this cycle? I don't, think we will hit the fertile window this month. I am ok with that for now.
Any questions? Nope
Rant/Rave/Brag: +1 for the sick boat. I have been sick since Tuesday, started out with a sore throat, then sinus/ear pressure and now the last two days I have no voice. I cannot wait to feel 100% again. On another note, my cousin's K9 partner was stabbed in the neck last night on a call. I haven't seen an official update yet, but from the current reports it doesn't sound good.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? She loves her shopping cart right now. She puts one of her babies in it, pushes it around, then says she is going to "Costco" which is the laundry room. DH works at Costco so we go there quite a bit to visit him.
@marebear15 thanks for the response! Once DH has a job it will be hopefully 6-7 months of trying so we might do testing then. Bubbles are one of DD faves to! And that is crazy how fast your LO is learning.
@shamrocandroll yes!!! He was holding on to DH shoulder but I was in between them😍 *swoon* pic is in the TWW thread (heavily cropped) That’s exciting about the mom workout group! What’s your routine like?
@m6agua I can’t believe how many people are getting sick lately! FX you get better soon!
@m6agua oh my! I hope the K9 ends up being okay!! FX! Also, what is up with all of the sickness going around?! Can we all just get healthy!!
@marebear15 boy do I miss the learning new words phase!! It's so cute and so exciting! DS loved being in the swing too when he was younger!
@madcouplewithabox I'm drooling thinking about being that close to him!! So amazing!!
Oh @holly321 your poor kids, but also my heart feels for you and YH!! It seems never ending over there for you guys! I hope the sickness lets up soon and that you two stay free from it!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling pessimistic mostly.
Any questions? Nah
Rant/Rave/Brag: camping went great this weekend. DD is already talking about going again! Last year (she was almost 2) she had trouble sleeping in the tent but this year she loved it and slept great. She loved playing wild woman in the woods too. We had lots of other kids with us, and they all helped looked out for her too.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? We are obsessed with all things baby doll.
Any thoughts about this cycle? Pretty sure that FF was wrong when it decided I O’d per FF, I am now 17 dpo and no sign of AF. Tested this weekend to be sure and BFN. I started back on Provera. I see the OB at the end of the month, so we’ll talk next steps then.
Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: DS has HFM, so I’m happy to get out of the house to go to work. We think he’ll be able to go back to school tomorrow. DH is home today. Also, the big bright spot for me lately is that I’ve lost almost 10 pounds since the end of February. If my body doesn’t want to cooperate with TTC, at least it’s cooperating with the diet program.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? DS is really into trains lately. He has a little train on a string that he pulls along saying “Choo Choo.” Also, his farm animal puzzle.
ETA: I’ll catch up and come back for tags when I have a break.
@lcking82 - That's awesome that your DD loves the woods and camping so much! When did your DD start her obsession with dolls? I can rarely get DD to hold one.
@mercury94 - Ugh, sorry you had to start Provera again. I hope your OB can get the ball rolling on things soon!
@marebear15: right around 2. She loves carrying them around now. She also sings to them, rocks them, scolds them, and hides them in all the beds around the house. It’s so hilarious.
@shamrocandroll - DS loves things with buttons too. Current favorite things are washer & dryer (he can operate them on his own), microwave, and toaster (with our assistance of course). So we definitely have to keep an eye on him. Our joke is that DS loves to push buttons both physically and emotionally.
@mercury94 - That's awesome with the weight loss. I'm trying to lose weight too. My consolation with taking time to get pregnant is that I have more time to get my body in shape.
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 4/4
WTO/TWW? WTOG
Ages of other child(ren)? 3
Any thoughts about this cycle? We are barely TTC this cycle. If I get pregnant great! If not, I won't be too disappointed.
Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: This past week was a rough one with DS. He has been getting stuff out the fridge/upper cabinets and bringing them to me. So it's been a lot of stop what I am doing and put the stuff back. He also has been napping this week. He hasn't napped in several months! The problem was he took an hour and a half nap, but then was up 3 hours past his bedtime. Then he would wake up at his normal wake up time (or earlier). So he was crabby all day until the nap. I'm tired because I'm trying to get down time after he goes to sleep. Last night, we got him down a half an hour early than his normal bedtime (because he didn't nap) but was up for over an hour in the middle of the night. I'm exhausted. So I'm sorry if I don't make much sense today. My brain is in a fog.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? I would have to say the sandbox as he is constantly asking us to build sandcastles (so he can smash them). DH built one like this one last summer.

@marebear15 - that picture is from pinterest so sure. I love this sandbox. DH found the plans online and did some modifications. He added handles and storage underneath the benches.
@kpearse99 Your rave about getting to walk your DS to school warmed my heart. I’m so happy you are able to do that now!
@shamrocandroll I felt the same about going back to work this morning after a fun weekend. Good luck with the exercise routine. I really, really need to do that.
@holly321 your week made cringe - you definitely deserve to treat yourself this week for making it through. I hope that you somehow escape getting it!
@marebear15 that’s so cute that it seems like your DD wakes up because she wants to use her new words haha ugh. I’m sure it wasn’t cute from 1:30-3:30. Do you have a swing in your backyard? We took DD to a playground with a bucket swing this weekend and she was in love. I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time at playgrounds this summer
@m6agua your poor cousin! I hope the dog pulls through.
@lcking82 your camping trip sounds perfect. Do you go a lot? We used to go all the time growing up but I haven’t been in years.
@mercury94 congrats on the weight loss! Just in time for spring too. Breaking out the short sleeves is making me realize I need to do something. What diet program are you doing?
@spacemountaineer I hope your DS gets back on track with sleep tonight. Sleep issues are the hardest thing for me to handle.
Any thoughts about this cycle? I have constant thoughts about this cycle haha. Its the first cycle that would be a really inconvenient due date for work. My job has been SO flexible with me (long story short, DD was born with some problems that have now been 100% surgically corrected but she had 3 surgeries and 1 million appointments within a year). So I feel bad but I just can’t bring myself to prevent. I want another baby so badly and I’m not getting any younger so I need to give it my best shot.
Any questions? If anyone had a similar experience and can talk me down from my rambling above that would be great. I’m the only mom with a child (next oldest “kid” is out of college) at my company of 50 people
Rant/Rave/Brag: I love this time of year. DH and I met, got engaged, and found out I was pregnant with DD all around this time of year so all of those feelings come back every year and it puts me in a great mood.
GTKY: Alexa and my credit cards come to mind first but as far as actual toys, her talking leapfrog dog “Violet” is probably the winner
@mercury94 I got pregnant with DS immediately after I lost 15 lbs. Therefore, I didn't get to bask in any of the skinny glory, but it was obviously worth it!

Any questions? Anyone able any tips with door locks? I can’t get him to stop locking the doors. The childproof door covers don’t work since there is a hole he can put his fingers in to turn it.
Rant/Rave/Brag: We had a really great weekend. We went to a touch a truck event on Saturday which ds loves. He’s all about the garbage truck as well as fire trucks, so he was in absolute heaven. We also had a bday party yesterday and he had a blast at that as well.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? All the trucks and legos. He can sit for quite awhile and just build with his legos.
@bows22 awe thank you!! It's so nice to hold hands with him and just have random and innocent conversations as we walk. He told me this morning that it makes his heart so happy that I get to take him to school! I'm not sure how I didn't cry at that comment!!
As for your question, I felt the same way when I was TTC #1. I was a manager at a theme park at the time and our busiest time was over the summer so I always knew having a summer baby wouldn't be the greatest time, work wise. But I also knew that timing a baby hardly works out for anyone so I didn't let myself stress about it, I just knew that whatever happened I would ensure my staff was prepared enough to manage awhile without me. DS was born at the end of June, AND I was put on bed rest right before memorial day so I was out sooner than I planned. It was a little tough for them, but they survived and knew I was only a phone call or email away (while I was on bed rest anyway) to help them however I could. Just know that if you end up being due at time that isn't "convenient" for your job that you have time to prepare things for work to help set them up for success. Also, you can't plan your life around your work. There has to be a line. Don't let work dictate when you can and can't expand your family.... it's not like you're planning a vacation that they can put a restriction on when you can and can't take a week off... a family is so different than a vacation!
@kbrown2385 hmmmmm I didn't worry too much about DS locking the doors because I knew I could always unlock them from the other side. Our locks are the kind where it's just a slot on the other side of the knob, so all I have to do is stick a nickle in the slot and I can turn the lock to unlock it. What kind of lock do you have? Are you able to unlock it from the other side?

Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: My son now says "I love you" and it makes this whole parenting thing worth it. It's the BEST!

@madcouplewithabox I feel like I sort of fit in the IF group even though I ended up conceiving my DS without fertility meds. My IF DX was a right sided hydrosalpinx and I had my right tube removed a few months before I conceived. I often wonder if I got lucky and that was going to be my only shot! I have this irrational fear that my left tube has since clogged up and won't work...ughhh! Either way, my DH and I have agreed on no other testing since we did all of that in late 2016 and if nothing happens after two years of TTC then we will be a family of three. I don't want to go on fertility meds.

@kpearse99 Oh man, stomach bugs are the worst! I’m glad you at least got one day over the weekend.
@shamrocandroll Good for you getting out there to exercise. And spending time outside with the kiddo is always awesome. I’m also amazed at how much they love buttons. DS has a remote without batteries that he plays with.
I also lost a bunch of weight right before getting KU with DS. It was doctor-ordered due to PCOS. Even with my new weight loss, I’m only just getting back to where I was pre-pregnancy.
@madcouplewithabox I have PCOS and it took over a year with DS. I’ve been diagnosed with it both previous times I was TTC. At this point, I just assume it’s still an issue. Last time, I was able to get KU with Clomid and good timing. I never went to an RE bc there’s not one in my area. I would have traveled for one once we started talking about IUI, but we didnt get there. When I saw my OB in Feb, she wanted to wait 8 weeks before next steps with fertility drugs, so we’re starting that conversation at the end of the month. So, I’m not waiting for testing is I guess the answer to your question and definitely moving on to the meds faster than last time.
@holly321 Wow. That’s a lot all at once. Hope you stay healthy and the kids get better.
@marebear15 I love all the new words. So cute. Sorry about the cramping.
@m6agua Feel better. Why is everyone getting sick right now? So sorry about the K9 partner. Really hoping things turn out well. I hate that anyone would hurt a puppy, even if it’s a K9 officer.
@lcking82 That camping trip sounds amazing! I’m glad she had kids to play with who were watching her too.
@spacemountaineer So jealous of that sandbox. I have to show it to DH.
@bows22 I’m on Naturally Slim. My insurance is paying for it. I didn’t actually expect it to work, but it has for me so far.
As for your situation at work, I get how hard it can be. I am a bit of a control freak and had a tough time stepping away last time. (I left 5 pages of notes describing all of my projects and their current status, checked my email every other day and answered my phone when it rang for all of my mat leave). Ultimately, though, it’s all about what’s best for your family. Work can deal if the timing isn’t convenient and you have plenty of time to prepare every one.
@kbrown2385 I love Touch a Truck. It’s a great event. I wish I had advice on the locked doors. Ours are also easy to unlock from the outside.
@kpearse99@mercury94 thank you. I know everything you said is true but I needed to hear (see?) someone else say it. I told my boss (who is an owner of the company) that I was pregnant with #1 when I had only known myself for less than 2 weeks so there was plenty of time to plan but he never wanted to make one so I think that’s what is stressing me out but I guess there is only so much I can do. I just hope if that happens again my coworkers resent him and not me - haha. thanks again, I think I just had a slight moment of panic as my FW approaches like yep I’m really going for it!
@bows22: there’s never a great/convenient time to get pregnant / have kids! You do you! I basically had to give myself this pep talk too - when (if) I do have a second, it will make stuff at work tough for a few months. But honestly, my kiddo (and future kiddo, hopefully) are the only people that I’m truly irreplaceable for. (Well, I guess my parents, too, even dH could find a new wife 😉). My job would have my replacement in before the grass grew over my grave.
I’ll come back tomorrow to do tags. Just have to say that molars SUCK. DS had a mystery temp up to 103+ this weekend, which Dr. Google and our peds office tend to say is not teething. Anyway, he’s barely eating since the tooth broke through and he was up until 10:30 last night (fever went away). He was a big booger this morning before daycare and just could not hang after dinner. He’s also not handling weaning well at all. He will scream about milk and I know it was probably giving him mixed messages last night, but we were all desperate for sleep and I kind of thought it might show him the milk is pretty much gone. It was early bedtime tonight and I’ll take any suggestions or commiserations!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@lcking82 thank you! I’m fairly certain that if I got hit by a bus tomorrow my boss would try to make my coworker do 2 jobs so that he didn’t have to deal with someone new But you are right that there will never be a good time to miss an extended period of time at work. And I keep thinking “well maybe I won’t even get pregnant for several more months” and that bums me out more so I know I’m doing the right thing.
@kpearse99 Congrats on the schedule change! I really hate that my schedule doesn't allow me to be home in the morning with DS, so I don't see him until daycare pickup. @holly321 Fingers crossed you don't get the stomach bug! @mercury94 WTG with the weight loss! @NYTino24 Sorry about the molars and temp.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not optimistic, but okay with it.
Any questions? Toddler moms, I need some ideas for Easter egg fillers. I think it'll be fun for him to find them around the house, but I don't want to fill them with candy. The only ideas I have right now are stickers, socks, and maybe coins for his piggy bank.
Rant/Rave/Brag: We have a big local event to cover this weekend, so I'll be working 12+ hours Saturday. Not looking forward to it, since it's my only full day with DH & DS. I think DS is going through a growth spurt because he's eating so much lately! Although he's moody, he's really fun right now, learning new things every day, including saying "love you mama" at night.
GTKY: What is your kid's current favorite toy? Trash can, doors, cords, dishes, bathroom scale... things he shouldn't be playing with... like a lot of others on here. Ha! But he loves being outside right now and riding in his wagon. We're planning to get him a water table for Easter.
@MrsVP614 I found some prefixed with toy cars on Amazon. I also found some sports ones at Target. He doesn’t know they could have anything inside, so I’m not filling them.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@kpearse99 I can unlock them with a special tool to go in the hole so it’s not a huge deal. I just don’t like it and don’t want him to do it. If only he’d listen 🤣.
@kbrown2385 wouldn't parenting be so much joyous if only they would listen to us all of the time?! hahahaha
@MrsVP614 I did the puffs and cheerios too that @bows22 mentioned! I still don't like to fill the eggs with just candy so I do coins, dollars, some candy, and I'll go to the dollar store and find some cute little toys that would fit in a larger egg. DS is into putty right now so I'll probably put that in one or two of the eggs. Dollar store is great for egg fillers!
@NYTino24 oh my goodness, mama! What a whirlwind of a few days you've had! The molar days seem so far away for me haha do cold things work? Like cold applesauce or yogurt or Popsicle's (Can't remember if your DS is old enough?!) The cold would do wonders at numbing his poor gums.

@MrsVP614 I did stickers this year. Mine is 14 months so I don’t think she can grasp the idea of what coins mean so I’ll opt that route maybe in the next coming years.
@mercury94 thanks for the response! I was able to do a (failed) IUI without an RE last time but not sure that’s the best option this time around. I’m thinking We will give it till month 8 of trying before possibly seeing an RE.
@MrsVP614 I am just doing empty eggs. I will fill her basket with a couple books, an easter rubix cube, and some plush pokeballs. Sorry I'm not much help.
@NYTino24 Molars suck. My DD would always get a high temp (102/103/104) with her molars. A couple times she developed an ear infection right after due to all of the extra pressure and inflammation going on.
When my LO was little, I did puffs, fruit snacks, and goldfish in the eggs. Now that she’s older, she is unimpressed if there is not candy, LOL. She’s getting a water bottle, new Toms, some Hatchimals, a set of chapter books, some Michaels craft kits, some Target dollar spot stuff, and new sunglasses in her basket. Last year she got a bike but she doesn’t “need” any big ticket items this year so whatever. I feel like every other year she gets something big and then the other years she just gets random stuff.

Yup, even at the age of 6 he'd still rather play with a freakin' cardboard box than the toy that came in it! haha
Other than that, he's pretty into his Nintendo switch, which of course we limit the use of but it's currently his favorite. Outside, he loves to play with his flying turtle scooter and his power wheels.

So we definitely have to keep an eye on him. Our joke is that DS loves to push buttons both physically and emotionally.

@madcouplewithabox GL this TWW!

@holly321 that virus needs to hurry up and leave your house! So sorry you’re still dealing with it!
@lcking82 glad you had a nice tone camping! I’d love to do that with ds this summer.

@kpearse99 @mercury94 thank you. I just hope if that happens again my coworkers resent him and not me - haha. thanks again, I think I just had a slight moment of panic as my FW approaches like yep I’m really going for it!
make stuff at work tough for a few months. But honestly, my kiddo (and future kiddo, hopefully) are the only people that I’m truly irreplaceable for. (Well, I guess my parents, too, even dH could find a new wife 😉). My job would have my replacement in before the grass grew over my grave.

@holly321 Fingers crossed you don't get the stomach bug!
@mercury94 WTG with the weight loss!
@NYTino24 Sorry about the molars and temp.
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 3/3
WTO/TWW? TWW
Ages of other child(ren)? 19 months

11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay.
@mercury94 thanks for the response! I was able to do a (failed) IUI without an RE last time but not sure that’s the best option this time around. I’m thinking We will give it till month 8 of trying before possibly seeing an RE.
@bows22 that’s a great idea for Easter egg fill!!
@puppylove8910 you seem to have such a calm and healthy attitude towards your plan. It’s very impressive. ❤️
@NYTino24 Molars suck. My DD would always get a high temp (102/103/104) with her molars. A couple times she developed an ear infection right after due to all of the extra pressure and inflammation going on.
@kbrown2385 I just googled and saw these on Amazon, they don't have the hole. https://www.amazon.com/Safety-Covers-Doorknob-Lockable-Design/dp/B07DN895WP
I also seen some crocheted things over the knob and socks over the knob.
