Are you a righty or lefty? Is that your dominate hand for everything?

I’m a lefty. I do pretty much everything with my left except for most sports. I bat right and can throw both, tennis racket in my right hand etc. Anyone who taught me was right handed, so that’s how i learned.

Bat right, bowl right (although I used to be a lefty and for some time could bowl ambidextrously but not anymore), kicking any sports ball I'd probably find most comfortable with my right foot. Cutting and stirring when I cook is left handed as well as writing.

It's weird how sports handedness can be the opposite of someone's normal handedness.

I’m a righty but find myself doing random things with my left hand. Washing my hair is one but of course I can’t think of anything else offhand. @inthewoods23 DH is a lefty but a sports righty too. I agree, so weird!

I'm a righty for everything. I even seem right-footed...is that a thing? (Like in yoga I can balance on my right leg a lot better than my left).

Righty, but I'm pretty good at doing things with my left hand due to years of playing piano.  When I paint (as in a wall, not art), I can easily switch back and forth depending on what side I'm edging.  I can also paint my right nails decently well (on the very rare occasion I paint my nails).  I can't write lefty, though.

I am a righty but in relation to sports/archery/shooting I use my left!

Righty all the way! I did train myself to eat with my left hand in elementary school, but I've since lost that ability.

Also, TMI question, but has anyone ever tried to wipe with the opposite hand they usually use?  I hurt my hand once and had to use my left and it was SO difficult!

@shamrocandroll I don't remember if I ever but I do know it's super hard brushing my teeth with my left hand lol.

@shamrocandroll I have tried that before and it is difficult.

I am right handed. I deal cards with my left hand. There are probably a few other things I do left handed too. For hunting I use my left, because I am left eye dominant. I played soccer growing up and could use both feet well, but my left was always stronger.

I am left handed, but can do most things with my right.  Unfortunately, I had a misdiagnosed cyst in my wrist for YEARS and had little use of my right hand for a long time and it has much less strength than my left side, so I can do much less with it than I used to be able to.  

Dh laughs at me , because I sometimes (accidentally) will be using a fork with one hand and a spoon with the other and looks crazy.

@shamrocandroll YES! I keep having issues with my right wrist and when it gets really bad, that “angle” is really painful so I try to switch and it’s just not good lol

@shamrocandroll I broke my right wrist and it was a pain to try and use my left!

I am a righty all the way.  When I was a kid I used both my mother said that was not acceptable behavior and that I should use my right hand only.  (She's crazy but that's a whole different story).  When I played soccer I used both feet but was better with my right.  My dad always made me practice with both feet because he said it would make me a better player and he was right!

Another righty here. My left hand is useless. I'm kinda disappointed that I'm not ambidextrous because both my parents are lefties.

@b_1029   "basically there for show" hahaha. My left hand isn't even that pretty, I broke my pinkie finger when I was a kid and never had it properly set so it's kinda mangled and slightly arthritic, and I have a bunch of random scars cuz I'm accident prone. That's why we didn't take any close-up pics of my hand with my engagement ring cuz I was self conscious of it.

Righty here. I'll do some things with my left hand (driving, using a round brush), but that's about it.

@shamrocandroll Legit just laughed at my desk! Yes, and it's so hard. And *TMI* I am wholly unable to check CM/CP with my left hand.

Completely right handed. It is interesting to see what people can do with their non-dominant hand.

Righty for writing but most other things, a lefty! 
Also, I can drive with my left foot ! I had a bee sting on my right foot one day out at the lake and had to drive with my left and ever since, I switch it up just in case something like that ever happens again.
