Monday B*tchfest, 3/25

What's bugging you today, ladies?

Re: Monday B*tchfest, 3/25

Why am I ALWAYS hungry? And I'm not talking like, snacking on things because they're around kind of hungry. I'm talking, feels like I just ran a marathon and am FAMISHED, kind of hungry.
  • Options
David Goggins. DH is currently obsessed and I’m getting real sick about hearing his name mentioned.

@nomangos23 Are you eating complex carbs? They digest slower so you should feel less famished. Do you like oatmeal? Beans? Potatoes? Whole wheat anything? Lol.

@nomangos23 yay pregnancy, lol!!  you have to admit, it IS better than nausea, right?

Today I wore pants that are too tight around the waist, even with the hairband trick.  My office is sitting at about 87°. I slept HORRIBLY last night.  I only have super boring tasks to do at work today.  They're painting a conference room right down the hall from my office today, so inside smells like paint, and they're mulching the trees outside, so outside smells like yucky mulch.  None of these things is particularly bad on their own, but combined are leaving me a very, very cranky pregnant lady.
  • Options
@RedBreast35 I like the smell of mulch! 😁

@lillywonderland girl yes! I'm eating all sorts of things. Chicken breast, shrimp, yogurt, artichoke hearts, a banana, raspberries and almonds are on the docket today. I'm hoping this will last me until 5pm :( I eat whole wheat everything and am making sure I get plenty of protein. I have no idea what's going on. I'm only doing 20 mins on the elliptical every other day, so I know I'm not burning through cals.

@nomangos23 You’re eating all the good things! As long as you’re eating healthy (and it sounds like you are) you’re getting everything your body needs to make another body. Maybe baby nomangos is going through a growth spurt and sucking the life out of you? IDK, man. Pregnancy is weird. Just keep making healthy choices! And keep working out!! That is fantastic for baby!!

Side note: One of my favorite snacks is PB on whole grain saltines. Mmm.

I weighed myself this morning. That was a mistake. 15 weeks in... I cant recall the exact number I started at but I am up roughly 8-10 pounds. I feel like this is unfair because so much of it is in my chest and I can't control that!! DD's overnight from average C's.  I luckily found my upsized bras from my first pregnancy this weekend though because I can't keep smashing myself into my regular bras. I am super excited about the end result obviously but man I hate what pregnancy does to my body.

My B-fest: morning sickness. I was starting to feel better the last couple weeks but this weekend my morning sickness came back with a vengeance. I almost threw up on the bus this morning and I didn't have any of my emergency snacks with me. Quit playing tricks with me hormones!!!

@nomangos23 Same here! How can I always be so hungry!?

@MsBeachNJ Ugh. I am right there with ya. I'm 14 weeks and have gained 8lbs. I have been kind of upset by it. It is all in my thighs and stomach. I have been working out and eating mostly healthy, so I guess it is what it is?

@LJMoon6 I'm sorry you are still dealing with ms. Hopefully it is a fluke and it will subside soon.

Mine is DH. I got up early to go to the gym and when I got home at 7:30 AM to get ready for work he wasn't up yet. I only had a few minutes to get ready and run out the door. He would not get up though. So then I had to feed the animals, make coffee, make lunch, etc. I know I sound spoiled, but he works from home and is on his own schedule (realtor), so I feel like he should get those things ready for us in the morning. I guarantee I'm going to come home today and he hasn't made the bed yet or done anything to pick up either. Maybe I'm just more annoyed than usually because of pregnancy hormones?

  • Options
@ljmoon6 I'm sorry its back. Hopefully this is the last hoorah before it goes away entirely. Emergency snacks are a must!

@Redbreast35 Ok you're right. being famished is waaaaaaaaay better than the sickness I had. *retracts Monday BF because NOTHING will be worse that that*

@lillywonderland I'm terrified that lil mangos is doing nothing but growth spurts. Did I tell you guys my husband was T.W.E.L.E.V.E. lbs at birth?
  • Options
@kgg2241 if I am being honest its definitely in my ass and thighs too! I just like to blame my chest ;) And good for your for working out - I have not done that at all even though I promised myself I would!! I'm just so dang exhausted! (Though I'm sure it would help that!). Last pregnancy I gained 60 pounds... and in all seriousness I do not give in to every craving, or eat for 2, or crave fast food, etc. its just how my body does pregnancy. So much of it is water weight. I lost it all (and more!) very quickly after my daughter was born but I don't want to spend the next 6 months hating my body.

@nomangos23 Emergency snacks are life! I've definitely noticed on the days I eat oatmeal for breakfast I'm not as crazy hungry by lunch. On the days I eat yogurt I'm starving an hour later.

@nomangos23 Ah, f*ck. You’re screwed. I’m small (weight/height wise) and DS was literally of average weight and the NP this pregnancy told me I was a rockstar for pushing him out my vajayjay. I’m sorry, but if lil mangos is even remotely close to what YH was that baby ain’t going out that way. It’s plain old physics (we can ask @LJMoon6 to confirm).

@nomangos23 12?  12?!?!  Wait, did you say 12?!?!?!?!?  OMG, girl.  I'm sorry in advance.
  • Options
    @nomangos23 12 pounds? 😱

I told my 5 yo on Friday that his sibling is a boy. He cried for 5 whole minutes because he really wanted a baby sister. He got a little better after I told him everything a baby brother can do with him but then he pushed on my stomach yesterday and told me he doesn’t want the baby because it’s a boy 😢. I don’t know what do with him and he’s annoying me with it.
  • Options
@nomangos23 dear heavens above, 12?? I'll add ya to my prayers.

@calliah tell the LO it is his daddy's fault and go tell him since there is nothing you can do about it? Or that he doesn't have to be excited, but he doesn't get to be mean or rude to baby in belly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ good luck!

@kgg2241 I tell my hubs, "I will miss you tomorrow" when he is being annoying. And lately I've added that no jury of my peers would convict me, they'd understand hormones making me choke him. I work from home too, but I still get shit done. Good luck, girl!

I was ready to murder my dog this morning. She decided that since our neighbors got up at 6am, she had to alert the whole world. Scared the bejeezus out of me, then I couldn't get back to sleep. So tired. So cranky.

Add me to the forever and always hungry club. I've put on 7lbs too but honestly I don't care. Some days I eat amazing and other days is taco bell and pizza. All about balance right?

My MBF is my co-workers reaction to me saying I am expecting. He is basically more worried about how my work will be divided when I am on leave...thanks buddy, glad the extra couple tasks you'll have to do in 6 months is that much of a concern to you
  • Options
@nomangos23 I feel you on the perma hungry! But nothing sounds good! 😢

@LJMoon6 I’m so sorry you’re still feeling sick! I am too and it’s the worst.

@calliah aw, that’s tough 😢 I’m sure he’ll come around! Maybe take him to an ultrasound?

My MBF is that I am so sick of puking. I just got violently ill less than 5 min before a video conference and looked like total shit. I’m over it, I’m done, I’m ready to feel better!!

@calliah my son is so extremely disappointed to be getting a brother as well. He wants a sister and has talked about a sister for years! Talk about breaking your heart! They’ll come around!

@zuuls_mom and @LJMoon6 ugh I feel so incredibly terrible for you both that you are still soo sick!

I’m loving the bitch fest because I’m feeling for all of you, and I’m irritated today too! I legit think my husband is straight up stupid the last week. He walks out of the room, and I’m all, you’re stupid under my breath. That can’t be good, and I’m not proud of it! I’m normally an extremely patient person. People usually ask me how I’m so patient. Well, I’m not today, and I don’t think I will be tomorrow either! I’m sure this feeling will go away! I remember feeling it hard core when pregnant with DS🤷🏻‍♀️ Sorry, hubby!

@cheshyre319 ha, I did tell him that it was daddy’s “fault” and that we can change anything. I’m sure he’ll come around, the disappointment is fresh right now. At least I’m really hoping he does.

@zuuls_mom he did go to an ultrasound and was super excited! Of course, that was before we knew it was a boy. Hopefully seeing one later when baby looks more like a human will help.

@blitzybee Aw, I’m sorry your son is dealing with the same disappointment. He’s been asking for a baby sister for the last year. At least they have some time to get used to it before baby is here. I’m hoping feeling movement will help bring back his excitement.

@nomangos23 I was a 7lb baby, and everyone on DH's side started out at 9.5lbs (but more like 10). DS came out just under 8.5lbs. Just remember, it's not all about dad.
  • Options
@nomangos23 Oh dear god. That’s got to be some kind of world record.

My MBF is everyone and their mother asking me how I’m feeling and if we want to find out the sex and if I’ve had any cravings and so on. I know people are excited and they mean well, and I feel silly complaining about it, but sometimes I’d like to talk about something else please. (It’s extra silly complaining about this here on a pregnancy board  :) )
  • Options
@cammie0526 Nope, not silly. We got your back! 😉 And it will only get worse the bigger you get (sorry!). It gets annoying answering the same damn question over and over every single day. And then once baby gets here people start asking about when you’re going to make a sibling!!

    It’s truly ridiculous.
  • Options
@nomangos23 send me and @LJMoon6 @zuuls_mom some of that appetite!

Thursday night I had such horrible indigestion and heartburn I didn't sleep, so I went home from work the next morning before lunch because I was miserable. Yesterday I spent in bed or puking... either way, so far I haven't worried about weight gain with this pregnancy. Hopefully that was the end of my first trimester going out with a fight and now it's fine with this nausea crap.

@nomangos23 !!! 12   :#  that is one huge baby!  Your poor MIL!

my MBF is that my stinkin wonderful 26 month old either naps and then won't go to bed until past 9 or doesn't nap and is a grouch ALL afternoon  :'(.  So tired and missing my afternoon nap :(

  • Options
@lillywonderland unless you are on #3, and then they ask “wow, how old is your baby?” (15 months), “weren’t you just pregnant” (yes, asshole), “did you plan this?” (Ugh)

@zuuls_mom praying so hard for 2nd tri magic. So so hard! I’m going to Disney in 2 weeks and if I am not better by then, I am going to be really miffed!!!

@nomangos23 12 lbs!!!!! How is that even possible? Not that you want to get all cozy with your mil but was it vaginal or c section?

@nomangos23 My husband was like 10lbs or something at birth. He also has a huge head circumference. She gave birth as normal. My son was 3 weeks early so I can't give a final size. He was 6 lbs with a normal head size. I was trying to do the math the other day to figure out how big he could have gotten if we waited 3 weeks!

I also am hungry all the time. Never had a big appetite with DS until after he was born and we were nursing.

@rms924 Vaginal!! And she 4'11"! My FIL said "yeah...it wasn't pretty" and I asked for no more details  :D

@KaraMG35 Ugh that sounds utterly awful. I'm sorry you're feeling unwell.

@bubsalicious That's a reassuring thought. I was a 7lb baby too so hopefully we can average out closer to.... ugh, I don't want to think about it

@nomangos23 wow!!! She’s a trooper. Yea, I would have prob stopped the convo too! Although, I’m super impressed !!!!
